Hymn steps out of his room, sparring little more than a moment to dress. A life on the road's made for swift habits, and there's little he cares for that he doesn't carry with him - or two much, but that's semantics. As he steps out of his room, he catches a glimpse of a small face in a nearby doorway. His eyes go wide, exaggeratedly at the display. "The fangs are just for show, friend. I don't bite - unless asked."
What Hymn knows about the Earth Mother {History: 6}
What Hymn can tell about the halfling's disposition {Insight: 8 }
Flint shifts a step away from Slag as the juggernaut steps back, allowing the dwarf to see the rodents scurrying before them. "What do ye mean, we?" Still not enthused about needing to deal with the infestation, but seeming to have no choice now. "They look pretty well fed, me boot might not do the trick... But I'm still gonna try! Hah!"
(I would say knowledge about Gaea, the Earth Mother would fall under religion, but you take a look at it from historical stance sure, not going to make you reroll, )
As far as Hymn knows about about The Earth Mother, its a very ancient religion, and wars been fought about how she is represented. To keep the peace, law was passed through out that Gaea to be represented in one certain way. Hymn does not know the specific different sects that have branched off. As for the halfling, he does seem jumpy, and as scruffy as he looks, he looks very odd standing in front of the Executive Suite.
(Ok as I saw it, Hymn steps out of his room, looking down the hall to where Porspero is, so is Prospero heading down the steps, and trying to head towards the front entrance trying to go unnoticed? Or Looking for nearest exit? )
Bigark reaches into his coat and produces three silver coins. "I can pay my own," he says with a bit of arrogance. "You keep extra copper ... Bet—ty." After placing the coins into her hand, he slaps her on the butt with one of his big hands. He gives her a little nod to complete their exchange and then turns his attention to the fine-smelling food before him.
Tallis relaxes somewhat when the guard approaches, "I've seen...things which put me at odds with this one's type. No harm intended, but I believe this is mutual ignorance. I'm a bit new here, as it seems he is too." He is careful with his words to remain as inconspicuous as possible and avoid the guard's attention toward his masked face.

Prospero, as you walk down the stairs, you pass a scene where just witness an orc dressed really fancy, even fancier clothes you have stashed away, smack a portly woman on her ass. As you walk by, you hear her say. "Oh my I haven't had someone touch me like that in ages, not since my husband, but he's in prison for nearly beating another man to death for he thought that man was eying me up. But this will be our little secret, Mr. Bigark." As you hear that name, it sort of rings a bell, but you don't have time to ponder.
As you open the door, to the Pumpkin Gourd in, you notice a bit of a crowd, three human male children, a human male guard, a guy with antlers on his head, and a masked fellow all having some sort of conversation. They are on the east side of the building, towards the markets. If you head west, you'll pass by the temple of Gaea and the school, and small library. Heading north is the forest, heading south will lead you to residential and eventual farmlands. If you were to pass the group you'd hear this conversation.
The guard listening to Boo as he pinches at his skin, fingers rubbing his temple, muttering to himself. "Gaea this guy is an idiot." Noticing the three children, he turns to them. "Shouldn't you three be running off to school now?" The children run off toward the school, and the guard turns to Thallis. "Well if it's just a misunderstanding then fine, I shall take my leave. Don't want any unnecessary paperwork before the festival." The guard heads leaving Thallis and Boo alone.
Hymn rolls his eyes to the ceiling, gritting his teeth for a moment. The stares had been bad enough, but this. Out of his pocket, he picks out a small bit of fleece, pinching it between his fingers in a sharp gesture as he cast Minor Illusion. A hushed whisper, not unlike a snake's hiss whispers right into Prospero's ear, as if its source is naught but an inch behind him. "Watch yourself, friend."
He walks past the halfling, and out of the inn, immediately noticing the gathering. Curiosity piqued, he makes his way closer to listen in on their conversation, pulling the hood of his cloak up as he goes, alert in case the situation escalates.
Bigark grunts in response to Betty's comment, but continues shoveling food into his mouth. The orc's eating habits are much less refined than one would assume by the airs he puts on.
"Oh...oh, they leave. They all leave...hmmm..." Boo goes into deep thought. Perhaps he came off a bit too strong with his words. They seemed to be focused on other ridiculous things. Like his skin. He would've given it to them if they truly wished. But wait! The first sword wielder was still here, perhaps he wished to know more." So!" Boo jumps to his feet, prancing to Tallis with newfound joy. "Do you wish to know of the Gorgal?"
"Not that it's a 'yes' to your question, but what the hell is a 'Gorgal'?" Tallis' hands fold within his cloak, resting on his sword and a dagger on the opposite hip. He takes a notice of the few remaining onlookers with a cautious dread of being outnumbered.

"Oh YES! Gorgal praise be!" Boo falls to his knees, arms spread out as he bathes in what little sunlight is in the alley. He then kicks back up to his feet. "The Gorgal; She gives us life as we are surrounded by darkness. The Gorgal; She gives us strength as we are wretched and bones. The Gorgal freed me from the darkness and gifted me light! " Boo stretches his arms out to the sky, trying desperately to literally touch the sun. But to no avail. One day, though. He looks back to Tallis, "She sounds amazing, doesn't she?"
Tallis can't help but scowl and resent this crazed man deep within. Removing his mask, he lets his face and hands lay bare to be seen, "No. The light is a sham protection. Blood of darkness rests within me and I've seen the beasts that lurk in the dark. Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they aren't there." Looking at the few nearby, he turns back to Boo, though addresses all nearby, "Venerate the light, pray for crops, dance till dusk. All the while, some of us will stand on the fringes and guard the flocks from wolves."

Back in the air. Combat order
Slag
Rat C
Rat A
Rat D
Rat B
Flint
So Slag is up first.
Prospero is doing his best to look inconspicuous without actually hiding. Just walking casually out of the place.
I'm guessing a stealth roll: 7 (+2 more if i can use deception instead)
(I would say Deception so 23, you can tell what ever you want as your cover story to Hymn).
**is Hymn approaching me as I step out of the doorway and head for the exit?**
(lol nothing could save those rolls.
hymn spoke while prospero was still poking his head out of the doorway. so if you start walking away from him, that's after he spoke to you)
**did you speak to me already, i only read that you saw me in the doorway?**
(yeah, it was in quotes after the rolls. we're the only ones in the hallway. i'll move it to before them)
(Ok as I saw it, Hymn steps out of his room, looking down the hall to where Porspero is, so is Prospero heading down the steps, and trying to head towards the front entrance trying to go unnoticed? Or Looking for nearest exit? )

Prospero is just strolling out the front exit as if everything is normal, trying to look like any other patron exiting the inn.
Tallis relaxes somewhat when the guard approaches, "I've seen...things which put me at odds with this one's type. No harm intended, but I believe this is mutual ignorance.
