The telltale orange flicker within the liquid of the two containers gives away its identity: these are potions of fire breath. After drinking this potion, one may use a bonus action to exhale fire at a target within 30 feet of you. The target must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 4d6 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The effect ends after you exhale the fire three times or when 1 hour has passed.
The black ungent is known as Oil of Slipperiness. Though sticky, thick, and heavy in the container, it flows quickly when poured. The oil can cover a Medium or smaller creature, along with the equipment it's wearing and carrying (one additional vial is required for each size category above Medium). Applying the oil takes 10 minutes. The affected creature then gains the effect of a freedom of movement spell for 8 hours.
Alternatively, the oil can be poured on the ground as an action, where it covers a 10-foot square, duplicating the effect of the grease spell in that area for 8 hours.
Gong is willing to accept the coin, but he has reservations about claiming any of the other goods, seeing as they were likely stolen from their original owners.
"If they want them back, I'm happy to oblige... but I doubt most farming villages, even those as well off as my sister's, have this many magical items. It's more likely that the spoils came from merchant caravans, other adventurers, or holes the goblins managed to ferret out. It would be difficult to impossible to confirm a claim of ownership for everything in here, and we were not given a list of anything specific that was stolen to look out for. Besides, these traps didn't spring up over night. This is a well-fortified position and this clan might have been raiding for years."
Noting this exchange, Elaric adds brightly, "We can always ask Bruna whether any specific items have been reported as stolen. If not, we can, with clear conscience, claim these items as legally valid salvage. Those newer looking boxes almost certainly belong to the most recently raided farms and, possibly, passing merchants. I should think we can return them without question."
Does anyone wish to make further comment/take any actions before returning to Pyrringham?
As no one had any objections or further business in the goblin caves, the party will split the loot as proposed [OOG: you may either add one of the gem stones or add 50 gp and assume you sold the gem at your first opportunity]. Utilizing one of the stolen carts, they are able to load the newer crates up with ease. Thereafter, they return directly to Pyrringham.
Upon arrival, the party is quite startled to discover the town square packed with people. Bustling about, the energetic villagers hurry to and fro between numerous colorful carts as the formerly downcast merchants happily and noisily proclaim the quality of their available (and apparently abundant) goods. So busy is the square that the party's arrival with the crates of stolen goods is hardly noticed.
"Well," murmurs Elaric is a slightly surprised tone, "it seems the merchants found a way to retrieve their belongings after all." Looking back at the party's cart, he adds to no one in particular, "Rather steals our thunder, does it not?"
Before the party has time to decide how best to proceed, Bruna calls out to them from the crowd and, parting villagers much as a fine boat parts waves, she makes her way over to the group.
"Ah! By Chauntea's good graces, you're back and in one piece at that! Good!" After embracing Wendell, she gives a friendly nod to the rest of the party. "Based on the smell, I imagine that you found a solution to our goblin problem?"
After briefly recounting the tale, Bruna enthusiastically shakes hands with each member of the party, thanking them each for their part. She counts out the goblin hands and assures the group that they've more than earned both the bounty and the bonus for clearing the lair.
"In fact," she cries out excitedly, "I've an idea. You wait right here." Without further explanation, Bruna turns and plunges into the crowded square. A moment later, the party can hear her voice as it echoes out over the assembled villagers and merchants, calling for quiet. As the people turn to look at her, she announces the return of the party, playing up the details of their valiant heroics and indominable courage as they tracked an entire hoard of goblins to a fortified mountain lair. She detailed how the goblins were routed at every turn, their insidious traps failing to thwart the heroes, and how their mighty and ferocious leader was no match for the combined strength of the party. She stressed the kindness and compassion of the heroes in their returning of goods stolen by the goblins and segued into a reminder of the miraculous return of the merchants goods.
With her face flushed and a smile stretching nearly from ear to ear, she reached the end of her speech. "My friends, with such good things coming all at once, I think it safe to say that our recent troubles may, at last, be over. It's been a day of such good news that I think the town deserves to celebrate. On the morrow, we shall hold, for the first time in weeks, a town feast!" At this, the assembled townspeople roared with delight, cheers breaking out all over, and with various cries of "Feast! Feast!" scattered throughout the crowd. Bruna smiled and waved at them as they continued cheering. Villagers near the party began cheering and clapping the heroes on their shoulders, shaking their hands, thanking them for all that they had done, and generally celebrating what seemed to be a joyous and exciting announcement.
Moments later, Bruna, still flushed and a little breathless, returned to the party, trailing several young men to whom she gave directions about the proper dispersal of the liberated crates. As the men left with the cart and crates, Bruna gathered the party in by eye, "It's been ages since we've held a town feast! I think this will be good for their moral. Gods know they need it..." Her voice trailed off, her smile faltering for just an instant before returning as she waved at several villagers walking past, their voices loud and excited as they discussed the upcoming feast. "Perhaps," said Bruna quietly, "this isn't the best place to talk - too noisy and too many people about. Will you all come to my home tonight for dinner? I think we have much to discuss." Though she still wore an enormous smile, it failed to reach her eyes, which had taken on a serious and slightly pleading look. Before anyone could speak, she gave a nod to the group and allowed herself to be swept along in the tide of scattering villagers.
The party has several hours before dinner. The merchants are still busily trading with the remaining villagers, there are several small shops about (mostly general goods, food, and farming equipment), and a fairly large inn nearby.
What will you do with your time before meeting Bruna?
If there is enough time, Wendell will be copying Find Familiar (1 hour, 25 GP) and Alter Self (4 hours, 100 GP) from Krazit's (the Goblin Shaman) spell book . He's elected to keep the Chalcedony for now. He'll also be shopping for the charcoal, herbs, and brazier needed for the Familiar summoning (10 GP).
While he does not find any sport in hunting, Gong is likewise concerned about the harm that the villagers may suffer due to a roving ankheg. He is willing to assist Guan Hao in tracking the beast.

Dinner will be in ~4 hours. It will take time to gather the proper materials and find a quiet place to work. As Elaric wishes to copy these same spells, he offers to either secure a private room at the inn suitable for such work or to shop for the required inks and other goods. With a successful arcana check, Wendell could just complete Alter Self before dinner. Otherwise, there is time (for either/both wizards) to both copy and cast Find Familiar.
PLEASE NOTE: this is only a suggestion on division of spoils! DO NOT ADD ANYTHING TO YOUR SHEET UNTIL THE PARTY AGREES HOW TO DIVY UP THE GOODS!

Guan Hao is content with Elaric's division of the specie and gemstones.
He also lays claim to one of the potions of healing, plucking it up and putting it in his pack without so much as a how do you do.
While the wizards get on with their peering and muttering, he sits on a rock cleaning and sharpening his glaive blade.

Gong: "Hm. Very well. Even so, I will be content with my share of the coin and one of the healing potions."

Guan Hao has no comment.
Balasar assents to Elaric's suggested division of coin & gems, and has no further action he wishes to take before returning to Pyrringham.
[OOC: shall we go ahead and add gold to our inventories equal to the value of the money/gems? shall I go ahead and add the PoH?]
Wendell is ready to head back, after disarming and collecting his hunting trap.

Guan Hao is still rankled somewhat that the charmed ankheg escaped un-chopped.
Would it be feasible to head out to the fields and hunt around for it, and still have time to return, say, an hour before dinner?
While he does not find any sport in hunting, Gong is likewise concerned about the harm that the villagers may suffer due to a roving ankheg. He is willing to assist Guan Hao in tracking the beast.
