Catching up - members of the group entered the room, found a detect magic circle, used it to find a glowing floorboard. Upon deciphering the riddle of the floorboard, they shone lantern light on it, changing the message to "When the piper kisses the raven, the knave lights the way" - this set of intelligence checks is basically to see the level of clue provided from your memories; at a table the clue might have been only 90 minutes ago; on PbP, it has been weeks.
All present stare at the cryptic message glowing under the bed. At once, you recall that the former occupant of the room, and presumed author of this message, also designed the playbill for tonight's performance:
If you did not keep the copy of the playbill (the image above) that drew you to the portal in the first place this evening, you can easily pick one up from the main room. They are advertising fliers as much as playbills, and are all over the tavern, and the adjoining streets.
Valafar will find one and then fold over the bottom left corner to the top right "When the piper kisses the raven..." Valafar mutters as he works, making sure to put the head of the piper directly over the raven.
"It looks to me as though this knavish looking gentleman in the playbill is pointing to the mirror." Glory quickly moves to the mirror (if there is one) in the room and examines it closely (is detect magic still in force?) : insight - 18
Glory generally has his dagger in his off hand. He would switch it quickly if anything happens. He will approach the mirror directly so that he can see himself and he looks at it as if to examine it but he is being cautious and learning what he can with the detect magic from the chalk and candle circle.
Perhaps hold a candle or the lantern while looking at the mirror like the person in the picture. I'm going to be just outside the door to intercept anyone who might try to come in the room. Just keep a ear for me making a scene, that will be your que that people are coming.
As soon as the light falls upon the mirror, a gnome’s face appears in the mirror. Anxiously, he whispers a message:
“Dalakhar, if you’re listening to this it means we’ve been separated from the stone, and that means you’ve forgotten all about it! Go to the cellar now, I’ve left written instructions in the usual place!”
Another round of intelligence checks, if you would please.
OOC: Trying to catch up here. Is Valafar there? Can he make a check as well?
intelligence: 11
Lot's of stuff ...
Valafar may indeed.

Valafar pushes his way closer and takes a look. He strokes the bit of hair on his chin as he ponders.
Intelligence: 13

Valafar looks to everyone "Does anyone happen to have a copy of the playbill we saw before? I think we need to have it..."
Intelligence 5 (I mostly hit stuff)

Folding the playbill results in this type of view:

The mirror does glow of magic; however, you see nothing but your own reflection the way you currently gaze at it.
Perhaps hold a candle or the lantern while looking at the mirror like the person in the picture. I'm going to be just outside the door to intercept anyone who might try to come in the room. Just keep a ear for me making a scene, that will be your que that people are coming.
Glory picks up the lantern and holds it in front of mirror. "Great mirror, what is the secret of your magic?"
If nothing happens Glory will reach up and touch the mirror with his hand as if to reach into it (but not break it if it doesn't move.)
And finally, if there is still nothing, he will cast minor illusion and the image of a butterfly will float in front of the mirror.
Lot's of stuff ...
Please tell me if the mirror needs smashing.

Blue Eyes shrugs. "I guess the next step is the cellar."
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Darruk begins shuffling towards the door towards the cellar
