"We are here to watch, and step in of needed." Kail replies. "If we can confront them in the act, then we can hear their side of the story. We may not even be dealing with Kobolds here. People around town say they haven't seen them of late.. but something is hitting the farms. I'm sure we can hide you successfully somehow." Kail looks down at the Dwarf with a cheeky smile.

Kail waves down the Dragonborn. "Greetings. We're here to protect your farm this evening from vermin! We were hoping to set up some ambush posts. Think you can help?"

"Ok, peaceful route it is...." Sol says as Kali calls out to the Dragonborn.

“You’re going to want to talk to the misses.”  He points  to the lady. 

She stands up and makes her way over to you.  “You’re here to watch over the farm?  That’s wonderful news.  I was worried because the farmers couldn’t be here tonight.   Lionel!  Go prepare two chickens for our guests!”  She yells to the Dragonborn.  

Kail offers a deep bow. "Kail, Paladin of Torm." he says

Sol raises his hand and smiles. "Just Sol is fine."

"I am called Adoy." Adoy says, looking around for places to hide preferably high ground like any silos, barns, or the like where someone could climb up and get a clear view of the fields.

"names Nizaren nice to meet you" 

There is a barn that has an opening facing towards the field.  The rest of the property is obscured by the house (chicken coop and goats)

the rest is flat farmland.

she hobbles over to each of you to shake you me hand or gently stroke your face the way grandmothers do.  “Nice to meet you, thank you, thank you.”  

Sky is in the back, seemingly preoccupied.

“Perhaps we could use the Barn as cover?” Kail suggests.

“Oh yes of course!  Watch out for the bear traps though.  Nasty things they are.”  

"Bear traps eh? How many do you have?"

“Just the two” she walks you down to the barn and points them out to you.

"Hello I'm Traxx." Traxx greets the lady. As they walk to the barn Traxx makes note of where the bear traps are in his notebook.

"Kail I can create illusions of more bear traps if need be." Traxx says to Kail as they make their way to the barn.

Sky tells the group, “Kobolds typically aren’t the type to be innocent and they usually don’t like to talk, especially if they have superior numbers. Are we sure we don’t want to beat them and just capture one?” 

"You might say the same about goblins, but I've know goblins that wouldn't hurt a fly, one of em even kept a few as pets. That tribe was murdered by a bunch of townsfolk one night because a wolf ate a farmer's goat and left the bones in the woods between the farm and the goblins cave. They even killed the children, went home and were called heros by the rest of the town. But when I went to visit my friends in the Drip clan a few days later what I saw was not heroism." Adoy says shaking his head solemnly.

"On the other hand I've met goblins that would just as soon chew yer face as look at ya." He says while making a cartoonish gnawing gesture.

"All I'm saying is I'd like to know exactly what is going on before we just jump into a fight and start killing any kind of people, even little scaly ones."

"Nah, most of the Kobolds I've dealt with are pretty viscous things."

"Regardless, we want to know where they're coming from." Kail says. "Capture, kill, whatever happens, we need to be able to find their dwelling."

"Are we able to place these traps out in the field?" He asks.

“You may, just make sure Johan knows where they are.”
