Jark does not see any signs of more worgs, but he is not sure if the village is clear or not. As the party takes a no its to look around, you see boulder littered around the ground. They are about 3 feet in diameter, and are sunken into the ground, as if they had been dropped.
You see that the rocks, have in fact, been dropped on the village. You see plenty of other rocks of these types have been dropped into homes, buildings, and even the keep. You recognize these stones as the ones favored by cloud giants.
A look of sudden realization and then slight confusion pass over Ery’s face. “But why?“ he says, thinking out loud. “Hm” He heads back over to where he dropped his coat earlier and tries to pick it up and stow it away without calling much notice.
Faene moves to retrieve her hand axe from the deceased Worg, wiping both it and her spear clear of blood on its ragged fur before turning to the group. As she approaches she notes that Helena seems to have disappeared, she shakes her head, she did seem the nervous type so the battle must’ve been too much for her. Then she looks at the half-orc suspiciously as he moves to pick something up before speaking ”Nightstone may have fallen, we should look for any survivors as they may be in hiding else where. I suggest we stick together as there is likely much worse than these lurking.” Turning to the halfling she says “Perhaps we could be quieter about our approach? That spell you cast was probably heard in Waterdeep.”
Jark stabs on of the worgs for reassurance while looking at the halfling “ I am Jark, I am a hero and occasionally Assistant of sorts”. Jark chuckles at Faenes words but says nothing.
Can I check the worgs for signs of markings, wounds, whether they are domestic or wild etc
The only wounds you see are the ones from the battle. As you look around the village, you see the windmill and the bridge to the keep to the south. To the north is a building with a sign that reads "Nightstone Inn." Next to it is a large building with a steeple, the closer you get to it, the louder the bell becomes. Scattered around, you see several small houses.
“I hope you wouldn’t mind if I joined you,” Ery says, walking back over to the group. “I would agree with the lady that a quieter approach might be preferable. Oh, and name’s Skelf Llolgrurn anyway. I don’t suppose any of you know much about cloud giants?”
OoC: What kind of check could I make for Ery to see how much he knows about cloud giants?
Nature: you know that giants are the second biggest of the giants, standing about 18 feet tall. They have incredible sense of vision and smell. They are natural speelcasters.
History: After the War of Giants and Dragons, the cloud giantsstarted to live in the clouds.
Faene stops in her tracks at the mention of cloud giants and turns to Skelf "Cloud Giants? You think Cloud Giants are involved in this?" A grim look crosses her face as she surveys the square, considering the destruction and complete lack of people it seemed to make sense. "Is that what you think these boulders are Skelf? If you are right then we should go now. The bell still tolls so there must be survivors there." With that she gives everyone a look to see if they appear to intend following her before turning and moving in the direction of the steeple'd building cautiously.
You approach the building. It has stain glass windows depicting images of birth, the sun, trees, and unicorns. When you reach the front door, you see it hanging wide open.
As Faene reaches the front door she stops and looks back. She waits as the others catch up to her and as Jark gets close enough she whispers to him "This doesn't look good. My armour isn't made for being quiet and you seem adept at subtlety, will you go ahead and scout the room? Signal to us if it is safe to follow..." Pausing for a moment she grips her spear and shows she is ready to use it "or you need help."
Strepit walks straight through the door, perhaps stubbing his toe and cursing. Not even going to try to be stealthy. "Monters? In a church?, Gotta be daft." laughing a bit as he enters, chimes jingling, bells ringing, pans a-clattering.

"Well I'm a traveling cobbler, don't chya knoow, soo's I travel a lot. And what about you my friend?"
Ery moves closer to one of the boulders. “I wonder what happened here,” the half-orc says.
OoC: I just realized I forgot to put the investigation roll here so

Jark will follow along with Feane towards the church.
