Well it sure looks like they've been having trouble for some time. I don't see anyone maybe they're inside. Dolph begins walking to the house with the intent of knocking on the door and introducing himself/ friends.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Strolling about the area with the others, hopefully able to take a look at the fence and a peek in the barn, Kintu would occasionally glance toward the others, "The question is, why terrorize a farm. Curiously, I can't figure it out myself. Debt, fun, secret hidden treasure..."
After making your way up to the house and knocking on the door you hear a voice call from behind the house, "Hello? Is someone there?" you hear as an Earth Genasi man comes around the side of the building. He's a tall, muscular fellow with dirt on his hand and sweat on his brow. "Howdy strangers, can I help you with something?" he says suspiciously, placing his hand on the hilt of a dagger, tucked into his belt.
Now friend no need for concern. I met your cousin the smith today and he said you're having problems. I'm a bit of a freelancer and looking for work, he suggested heading out here to help you. From the look of it something is amiss here, lots of damage. You're quick to go for a blade so I take it you're accustomed to threats...what's going on? Can we help? I'm Dolph.
"Oh, he told you about my little problem? Well i suppose I could use the help. I don't have much in the way of dragons to offer you, I could probably do about 10 a piece, and I'll even throw in a couple bushels of corn."
He gets a bit more at ease, taking his hand of his dagger and taking a more relaxed stance. "Whelp, a couple weeks ago I had my two scarecrows vanish, just gone one morning. Then a few nights later they started showing up, like walking around. And they weren't friendly I tell ya, they come to cause trouble, smashing things. I tried to take em on myself but they got these like sharp claws, and they're fast. I'll give you the coin and the corn just to take em out, but if you can figure out what the hell is going on with them I'll ... I don't know, I'll get you something extra for sure, you got my word on that."

Ok. At a minimum we can stop them, and we'll certainly try and figure out the problem so it doesn't happen again. Where did you see them last, where were they headed? Do they usually come from the same place or the same time? I'm in a mood to slice... As he speaks Dolph grabs his sword and smiles.
Investigation 3 Do I see a straw trail or scarecrow tracks?
SP can see weird tracks that come and go from different directions.
"They always come at night, you boys are welcome to hang out here today. Maybe take a nap, and then stay up tonight to try to catch em. Feel free to help yourself to anything in the barn that you might want to use to make a trap or weapon or something."
SP is hanging out with Dolph
Perception 9 Any people around?
You guys don't see any people around at the moment.

SP will walk around looking for signs of people or trouble 16

"We're here to help you." Kintu adds, " If you need help that is." With a slow movement of his quarterstaff he'd poke of the others
"Oh uhh yeah! I am friendly and not a threat either!" the cloaked lanky warforged will say in his monotone voice.
"Oh, he told you about my little problem? Well i suppose I could use the help. I don't have much in the way of dragons to offer you, I could probably do about 10 a piece, and I'll even throw in a couple bushels of corn."
"Sounds good to me" The warforged will say, standing next to his companions."Point us to the problem"
Yes, what do you need us to do precisely.

"Sounds like a deal" The warforged will say, looking around for signs of them as well.

Dihek'nir mutters to himself, "Very interesting."
