Dihek'nir is staying a bit away and is trying to stay inconspicuous while cleaning his bagpipes and also keeping an eye out for anyone who might be watching them right now.
The bartender takes the other 2 gold, and replies to Gendal, "I've seen those other guys in here a couple times, I don't know them personally, but I've seen them go into a warehouse down on Candle Lane before, building with a snake symbol on the door. But like I said, I haven't seen any of the men, or Renaer, or the other guy since then."
Gendal finishes his ale and thinks about what the bartender had said. Thanks for the information. If its helpful we will remember it when we get paid. If you could describe the men we're looking for at the warehouse my friend and I will be off.
When everyone goes to leave, SP would like to hang back an extra minute in his perfect hiding spot and make sure no one starts trying follow his companions before running to catch up to them.
Gendal and Karugur fill in the other two on the information they learned. SP makes sure nobody is following all of you as you make your way down to Candle street. The buildings on either side of Candle Street are so tall and so tightly packed together that light touches the street only at highsun. Gloom envelops a narrow alley as dark as a dungeon — and as odorous as one, too. Nearly all the streetlamps have been smashed. The only light that pierces the darkness is a faint flickering from down the lane, like a distant candle.
Gendal uses the shadow to his advantage and slips into the darkness, until Dihek'nir lights up the entire alley with 4 glowing lanterns that hover above all of your heads.
The flickering flame you saw from afar comes into view and reveals a warehouse directly across the street. You can all see a black winged snake symbol painted above the door handle of the warehouse.
Can Karugur give me an Intelligence or history check?
“Spirit. In every language in all the Realms, surface and Underdark, in every time and every place, the word has a ring of strength and determination. It is the hero's strength, the mother's resilience and the poor man's armor. It cannot be broken and it cannot be taken away.”
We're here...I think. I don't see anyone out, should we just go in or try to sneak first. Even if these aren't the ones responsible I doubt they're the most savory. Be ready.
SP would approach the building and check to see if it is unlocked while watching out for enemies... As his hand approaches the lock, the tips of his fingers will fold over and lock picks and small sets of scissors will emerge from inside each finger. Very carefully he will insert the lockpick into the lock and begin to manipulate the tumblers.

With that Gendal turns and walks to the door. Come on, I think its still early enough to go to Candle Lane.

I don't know what to expect here perhaps we should approach cautiously. stealth 4
Dihek'nir will help the lighting situation by casting Dancing Lights and floating four lanterns around the group as they go.

None of you recognize the symbol, and as far as you can tell you're alone on the street.

**You guys are all lit up by Dihek'nir's lights, so your stealthing isn't great.**
SP easily unlocks the door.
*didn't know that was still on* Gendal moves up as stealthily as possible...just to the side of the doorframe not going in yet.
