“Thank you Donavich for preforming this service, sheltering us for the night, and this advice. I — I’m sorry about your son. I hope I can return to aid him one day — Raven Queen permitting. Good luck to you brother.”
To Zander, “Onwards to Vallaki then friend? We should probably only move during the day and we’re already burning valuable light.”
"Oh, brother Donavan.. before, we leave may I ask you to spare me a Holy Water (flask) for our journey? It may come in handy should we see more of the afflicted."
He moves to the room next door to the room with the chained trapdoor, which appears to be a rather untidy office, though it is difficult to tell whether it was made that way by an intruder or by the priest himself. He digs through the desk drawers for a few minutes before pulling out a small silver flask with a sunburst insignia on it and hands it to Lae. "This should do. I will send to the Abbey for another, but you will probably need this more than I."
You exit the church and head back down the road towards the town square. "I vaguely know about where Vallaki is supposed to be located," Ismark says as he turns right and leads you west down the road out of the village.
You continue down the somewhat familiar road until you reach the fork with the gallows. None of you notice anything out of place, however. You begin to head down the right fork as you had before, but Ismark stops you. "No. Not that way. His Vistani are that way. We head left."
It is a rather dreary day of walking with woods to both sides and the mists within the woods. The sky, as is nearly always tell case in this land, is overcast and grey. It always appears as though a storm is about to break, though you have not seen so much as a single drop of rain and cannot smell rain in the air either.
As dusk nears, you find no clearing in which to camp, simply the road and the woods.
“That sounds wise. Let me make share this is a safe place to camp.” Lae says as he palms the reliquary around his neck and mutters some arcane words under his breath.
“Seems like this area is free of anything nefarious at the moment. We should still post a watch to be safe, I’ll go first again unless there’s any objections.”
The watches go quietly for the most part. The howling of wolves can be heard occasionally off somewhere in the mist.
Towards the middle of Necros' watch, however, the stillness of the night is shattered by the shriek of bats and the flapping of tiny black wings. Necros yells in surprise (loud enough to possibly wake you) as the bats attack him.
Attack: 9
Damage: 7
The 3 bats can't manage to get a good bite on him, however, as the waving of his arms seem to keep them at bay for the moment.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Hearing the commotion Lae groggily awakens. “Argh what’s all the noise!” He grumbles. When he realizes bats are attacking Necros he snaps to, mutters some arcane words, and a a ghostly skeletal hand appears near the bats and attempts to grab one of them.

Zennas checks and secures his gear. "Right then, let's kick some dust."
Agreed, let's move.
-We are all just one failed saving throw away from someone else's fantasy...
(Are there any other loose ends you need to tie up before you leave the village?)
I don't think so.

"Um. I should."

Zander nods. Thank you.

“Thank you and good luck.”
Turning to the party, “Right, that’s all I needed. Let’s be off.”

Well, I suppose we'll just rest here on the side of the road, I'm not going in the woods if I don't have to.

OOC: Lae casts Detect Evil and Good.
You do not detect anything.

Go for it. Zander starts unpacking his bedroll

(Same watch order as at the church?)
OOC: Yes, lets go with the same order... Lea, Zander, Zennas, Necros, then Yid.
