You continue down the west path as dusk continues to fall until Ismark finds a suitable place to camp. Once again, the only place to camp is on the road, but with not wanting to travel at night due to the possible activity of other creatures, he stops as early as possible while creating a "safe enough" distance from the crossroads with the carriage.
The night passes quietly through the watches. As dawn breaks, you eat and break camp then start down the road once more.
Near midday, the environment changes a bit as you finally emerge from the trees once more. You continue following the winding path as it loops south then heads north, until you come once more to a crossroads. One path leads west, while the other continues north.
"Well, that road," He points to the one leading west, "leads to an old windmill. Rumors say there is a group of old women there who steal children. Otherwise, our road continues north."
Ismark nods and leads on up the path north. A loop of the road heads west once more, then follows along the edge of the forest in a north-ish direction. Dusk falls once more as you reach a place where the path turns west once more and enters the forest.
"From what I have heard, the town is only about another day's journey into the forest. We have a choice. We either press on and camp somewhere in the forest, or camp here and most likely end up reaching the town after dusk."
The night passes quietly once more. You break camp and reluctantly follow the path into the forest again.
As you walk along, a scarecrow lurches out of the forest and into view. Its sackcloth eyes and rictus are ripe with malevolence, and it's gut is stuffed with dead ravens. It has long, rusted knives for claws.

“Which way Ismark? Fastest route if you please.”
"Well, that road," He points to the one leading west, "leads to an old windmill. Rumors say there is a group of old women there who steal children. Otherwise, our road continues north."
“Old windmill.. missing children.. um.. North it is then. Unless you guys think otherwise?” Lae asks the group.
We tried to stop ONE old lady stealing a child, and I almost died, and we did nothing to her. I do NOT wish to go that way.

"Aye," Lae hangs his head, "North it is."

“What the town is in the forest? Nine hells. Either way is $h*t, but seems safer to camp here than in there.”
Agreed. The less time in the woods the better.
