Jut: Jut places the pieces on a large rock near the water and begins to chip away at the obsidian, The first two are able to be shaped into crude but serviceable mace heads. The last piece however just kept breaking just as it was taking form but in the end you did have a small hand axe sized axe head. It is a bit oblong in shape but it will work.
Shank: due to your years in an elven villiage watching the expert fletchers working to make the arrows and bows known for the elven peoples you were able to recall some of their actions and imitate them. Soon you were creating well shaped arrowheads and by the time you are done a pile of 2 dozen arrow heads are sitting next to you.

Seeing the others, noting some looking at the door, he was sure he had searched the whole door. " Anything new found outside? As for the door, not much that I could see, unless something new was found. "
Booker looks to the one that mentioned maxes. " If at all possible, may I have one, I be more effective than just my fists of coconuts in hand. "
Yet, he still looks back at the door, this is a disturbing door in his mind.
( would it be possible to cast the ritual Detect Magic, utilize supplies I havein my pouches, so I can detect more of the nature of the door? )
Jut hands the maces to the goliath, not sure if he intends to use both. He will take the rest of the afternoon gathering firewood for the night and offer to take the first watch when night comes.
Meanwhile, back at the cave, Whisper considers how to elevate herself high enough to get a better look at the symbols etched into the door. "Can someone give me a boost? Or I can boost someone else," she says, pointing to the spot 10 feet up on the door.

Whisper nods thanks to Shank and steps nimbly from his hand to his shoulders, bracing herself on the door. She blows the dust and dirt away from the etched symbols, using a claw where necessary to scrape out any dirt or grime. "Now, what is it we have here?" she mutters as she looks the symbols over closely.
Kruphal: You examine the area around the wall but other than the jungle ending at the abrupt wall you cannot see much. However do a survival check for me.
Booker: You may cast detect magic. I will assume a components pouch is something that would have remained on your person all along
Shank: You were able to gather supplies for more arrows and a bow but it will take some time to build. You step away from that temporarily to help Whisper
Whisper: You see the marks much more clearly now that you are closer to them but they still do not look right. Something nags at the back of your mind about them being familiar but there is also something about them that is wrong and you get the feeling that if it was corrected you could possibly be able to read it.

Night Whisper grumbles to herself, very aware of the strain she is putting on Shank. What she wouldn't give for some paper and charcoal to take a rubbing. She intensely studies the shapes to try and recreate them, then hops down and scratches them into the floor with a rock (or her claw).
Whisper: you write them out with relative accuracy but as you write them they feel awkward. Almost as if you are writing them wrong even though you are pretty sure you are writing them out the way they were on the door.

Rage simmers underneath as Night Whisper stares quietly at the etching she made on the ground. She stands terrifyingly still over the markings she made on the ground. "Where is that wizard, Theo?" she says at last, directed at Shank. "He seems like the intelligent sort. Maybe he can decipher this puzzle." This is not something she can smash or slash with her claws, as much as the storm inside her yearns for it.
As he stacks wood for the night Jut sees the frustration and offers consolation. I don't read well and can't really write much. I put the markings backwards sometimes. Do you think that's your problem? Eat some fruit and try again.

2 maces to whoever wants. I was going to keep the axe unless someone is unarmed.
(Back from my long weekend away. Also I'm fine, shouldn't need any maces.)
