As Ash sees his father's forge come in to view he stops. "Nope nope nope.. that's not right." He turns around and looks around at the neighborhood he's lived in for almost his whole life. If he's going to begin his quest, he thinks to himself, he's going to have to leave his comfort zone. He thinks back to deliveries he's made before and tries to remember which one was furthest from his home. He'll head there first, he hopes an unfamiliar place will set him on the right path, unbound by his own personal memories.
(I would like to do a stream covering this campaign and others, reading (in likely horrible voices) the story bit by bit, and then imputing campaign notes from the posts into WorldAnvil; which may contain spoilers, that I'm okay with you watching as long as you don't use them to metagame.
Vanyel, blood begins to flow down your arm and chest. You look to the direction that the shot came from, but only see the shadows of the thick forest. Laughter coming from all around; at least four voices. The wagon's ponies seem not to notice the danger yet.
Mercury, knowing bandits; they are likely not going to drop their ambush easily; and one of them likely has noticed your readied attack and is probably lining up a shot on you right now.
Penris, you feel confident that you could sneak behind one of them somehow and take them out, if you knew where they were. Your father's dagger feels incredibly light in your hand.
Ash moves away from the west side of town, past the comfort of your neighborhood, past the northern tip of the Bugbear district; many members of which are regulars of your father's forge.
It isn't long before the flood of Kender come to view. Your father would never let you deliver this deep; for fear that it wouldn't make it to the destination.
Vanyel would let out a roar as loud as his large frame would allow and fly into a rage before charging in the direction the arrow flew from. He will try and close the distance as rapidly as possible to remove any advantage distance would give them.

Ash, you see in the distance a large deep red and brown mix furred Squirreling looking out across the city around him; and you immediately recognize him as Kip, Champion of the Gods.
"Holy Torm, it worked!" Ash will yell as he rushes through the crowd and right up to the Squirreling and says between excited breaths, "Do..you.. know me?!"

Penris clutches her dagger tighter, watching and waiting for her chance to sneak up on these thieves.

I wanted to ask your permission before doing so.)
(That is totally fine lol!)
(All good with me).
Mercury, still with his Eldritch Blast Ready, see's the crossbow bolt hit his friend and raises his hands, the purple energy becoming more violent.

Vanyel jolts slightly from the impact of the arrow and then lets out a low growl in anger and pain.

(What actions would everyone like to take?)
Brell nods in agreement. "Yeah, can't even imagine." Is all he replies. The city continues below your feet.

Penris swallows at the sight of the blood running down Vanyel's arm. She whispers a quick prayer of aid to Krythlynn and waits.
(Good idea, Kip has advantage on the roll.)
(Vanyel, make a Perception Check with Advantage.)
