As Penris is studying the ground and realizing just how deep she might sink, she realizes Kip has taken to the trees. "Yes! Good thinking, Kip!" she whisper hollers, not wanting to alert whatever the thing is in front of them. She quickly works her nimble fingers into her clothing, procuring one of her throwing daggers. She watches Kip and the light, ready to throw her dagger at anything that might jump out at them, murmuring a short prayer to Krythlynn to keep them all safe.
Watching the light grow fainter as it moves away, Penris frowns. "Kip!" she yells. "I don't think it's friendly. Else it would come to us and not move away, yes?" She looks at Vanyel to see if he agrees. "Maybe you should come back here, Kip!" she yells again.
(Would kip know what a wisp is? Does kip think it is a wisp?)
Kip would watch the light for a moment before attempting to leap back towards his perch on the bugbears shoulder. Once back on top of Vanyel he would look to Penris and Vanyel as his tail twitched excitedly.. "That is not a person or animal... not sure what it is... but we probably shouldn't follow it like Penris said" the squirreling would say looking around to make sure there were not more of them.
You are unsure on what was making the noise, until you see it. You've seen this creature before, when Mercury's God Pluto dropped his terrifying visage, he held this form. That of a fairy.
"Hello there! Can you help us? We are trying to turn this swamp back into a forest." Kip will yell from the bugbears shoulder, as his tail swishes back and forth cautiously.
Penris squeals with delight when she realizes what it is. "It's a fairy, Kip! Isn't it adorable? Don't you just want to hug it and pet it?!" she gushes. Her fingers tighten on Vanyel's shoulders in her excitement. "I can't believe we're going to meet a fairy! Thank you, Krythlynn!" she shouts to the sky.
(If you could see Krythlynn, you'd see her blushing.)
The twinkling sound slowly changes, forming musical words. "Thank Pluto! Our emissaries words took root, and heroes came forth! You must come with me to see the king." They suddenly turn and quickly fly away for a moment, before returning embarrassed. "I, um, should probably wait; to show you the way there." She says with a magical songlike laughter. "The name is Glitter." She says with a smile. You notice that in addition to her natural, almost pink, glow; there are small sparks of silvercolored magic radiating from her body, like the sprinkling of rain.
Penris is utterly fascinated by the sparkly creature. “Your name is Glitter?! That’s soo adorable?” she squeals with delight. She suddenly frowns as Glitter’s words sink in. “Who is your king? And what is happening to the forest? Why is the swamp expanding?” she says as she fires off her questions rapid-fire.
Kip would stand quietly for a moment waiting to make sure the fairies appreciated being called cute and adorable, but once it seemed they didn't mind, the squirreling would join in. "See Vanyel! This is what I am talking about... the natural defense mechanisim... Do you think Penris is going to attack one of those fairies... nope.. and ya know why!Because they are cute!" Kip would say very matter of fact, nodding his heading knowingly to Penris and then the fairy. Kip would then reach into his jacket and grab the stone before holding it close to his mouth. "Hope! These guys know who we are! Have you been able to tell more people about us? Do the fairies know how awesome you are? Should I tell them? They probably know... " Kip would ramble for a moment as his tail twitched in excitement.
(Taking some time off for mental health; been having a lot of bad days lately. Will likely still try to update when able, but I can't promise consistency at this moment. Sorry for any delays. Thanks for understanding.)
Glitter smiles at the comments, not disagreeing with the words. "You weren't told about the hag Griselda? She has been stealing fairies and using our power to expand the swamp. I, I guess it got lost in translation." She looks at each of you. "How do you plan on helping us?" She asks quizzically.

As Kip approaches the light, it weaves between the trees, slowly flying farther away.
Watching the light grow fainter as it moves away, Penris frowns. "Kip!" she yells. "I don't think it's friendly. Else it would come to us and not move away, yes?" She looks at Vanyel to see if he agrees. "Maybe you should come back here, Kip!" she yells again.

Vanyel looks around curiously trying to see If there might be some sort of path in the swamp. "Any idea of the direction we should go?"

A faint twinkling sound comes from deeper into the swamp, causing the wisp to fly closer; hiding inside a nearby tree hole.
"I've got a bad feeling about this," Penris says with a shiver.

Vanyel walks towards the glowing form cautiously. He had been caught in traps by those wooden abominations and didn't want to be caught off guard.
