Most of Kabarr’s spare time is spent training to fight with his weapons and any new aqua gnome weapons. While resting from the physical exertion, he studies the basics of magic with Flayr. Kabarr has also enjoyed the time training Flayr with the Quarterstaff. Though he is much stronger than his friend, the use of speed, anticipation and body awareness has made Flayr quite effective with the simple stick. Personally the time inside the ship is difficult for Kabarr. He feels contained which goes against his fiery nature. This has given him horrible dreams and at times homicidal thoughts. Luckily the ship has mainly aqua gnomes, one of the few races that he is at peace with.

(Kaimos, you can define any characteristics or details you've learned about Tirana as you've gotten to know her better. Basically you can say what she's told you about herself. Also, the relationship may have advanced to being a couple if you'd like.)
Kabarr and Flayr, during your training a few aqua gnomes, of surprising strength and agility, inquire on if they may join you. They both work on the ship, but spend their off times adventuring. They do not have many opportunities to spar.
Gnook spends much of his time training with both the Crogduru and dual Kafaith. Though he notices Kabarr and Flayr, he will not ask to spar with them, but if they ask him he will comply. The time not spent training is spent reading, and researching, and he goes to a show every other day.
Kabarr excited to have a challenge agrees to train together. Donning two shields, Kabarr says “let’s start with striking accurately with force. Aim for the center of the shield.” If they don’t swing hard enough, Kabarr pops them with the shield to encourage more aggression. With each accurate strike, Kabarr encourages the opponent and moves in a circle to change angles. Once the gnome tires he switches to the other gnome or Flayr.

(Awesome)
Crogduru steps forward, his broad form almost barrel like, his arms are large, fist are meaty; his back flexes as he reaches his fist back. His black and curled mustache raises as he gives you a wide toothy smile. Light briefly glints off Crogduru's bald head as his fist flies towards the shield. (Crogduru's attack: 13)
His solid fist hits hard against the shield, his long scarred hand compresses upon the metal of the shield; a slight creaking sound and the eerie twang of metal buckling slightly is heard. Kabarr, you slide back a few inches from the blow.
You find that this exercise is going to be a workout for both of you; especially as his next punch heads your way. (Kabarr, make a Con Save DC 18 to endure the workout with Crogduru.)
(I would like to note that I houserule using your Save modifiers in all Ability checks. If you are proficient enough to gain you Proficiency mod in a time of crisis; why wouldn't you use that same skill and training during times of peace. /End Rant)

Kabarr constitution save 23 “My compliments to you sir on such a powerful blow.”
Realizing this is more forceful than he had prepared, Kabarr puts his hand up for short rest while he takes a mental note on how this gnome can produce such power with his fists. “Where did you learn to strike with such force.....my new friend?”
"I do most the heavy lifting around here; but you don't get like this without a steady diet and workout routine. Been practicing, stretching, and stressing my muscles regularly for at least thirty years; though it's more just maintenance these days, not much more growth going to come out of these bad boys." Krogdar (formerly Crogduru) says with a flex. "Dal Kyfith (formerly Dual Kafaith, lol) here favours a different style, preferring a more lean and agile form."
"The better to maneuver with." The skinnier of two says. He in lean and muscular, like the body of a mountaineer, with well used strength."
(If Gnook is near and interested, one of the gnomes would invite him to join them.)
Gnook takes up a Kafaith in each hand, and joins the others.
(For those who do not know what a Kafaith is(which is everyone, lol), it is a small, (iscosceles)triangular shield that curves slightly around one's arm, which it straps to, the baseof the triangle pointing outward, from one's hand. Protruding out of the base of the triangular shield is a slightly wider than normal blade of a shortsword. However, the shield connected to the blade makes it a little more clumsy, so that the best option for using it is brute force, rather than finesse. Essentially, a shortsword that trades finesse for +1 ac.)

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Kabarr says to Krogdar, “that would do it. Since we are going to be together awhile, maybe you can help me with something that I have been working on. My goal is to be able to wield a Greatsword with one hand while still donning a shield. It is quite heavy and my wrist and arms ache after training. My time training with the Drow was great for finesse weapons but little power. Is there something specific that I can help you with? “
After talking and training with Krgdar, he turns to Gnook “those are interesting. They look like gladiator gear. You must have great reactions to fend off range attacks.”
(Kaimos, you can define any characteristics or details you've learned about Tirana as you've gotten to know her better. Basically you can say what she's told you about herself. Also, the relationship may have advanced to being a couple if you'd like.)
Kaimos and Tirana get to know each other and grow closer over the trip. Tirana recounts how her parents died from illness when she was a teenager, leading to her becoming a dancer to make money to survive. How she rose in popularity among the dancers due to her beauty and grace (she didn't put it exactly in those words of course), eventually becoming the top dancer in Ixetan, allowing her to make more than enough to live on, leaving her extra that she put aside and saved to buy the house they saw, as well as some other minor properties. After that, she was able to charge rent on the properties she had purchased to pay for their upkeep. She also recounts how she ended up on the Casino ship from which he rescued her, how as she got older, younger girls rose through the ranks and replaced her.
Kaimos relates to her what it was like for him growing up as well, and tells of how he came to be at the monastery. He speaks of growing up surrounded by other races, and how he had always dreamed of visiting their homeland. How he was able to save up enough money to make the trip and finally made plans to go, leading to the final night before he was supposed to leave, going out to the casino boat with Rolen, where, of course, everything went wrong.
Kabarr smiles at the slight by Gnook but quickly shifts to trainer mode and says, “it is best if you use the circle and thrust technique to get the hang of a new weapon. First make a circle with your attacking hand . Four strikes and parries at each point of the circle then aim for the chest. Make sure you have chest protection. The predictability evens the odds but let’s you get used to the weight and reach..... or you can just face up and go at it.” Kabarr says with a laugh.
