In moments merrow can be seen all around as your vessel dodges and speeds towards the massive subs. The sound of bodies bouncing off your ship, the occasional scrape of metal or claw along the outer shell, occurs time and again. Suddenly you are surrounded by silence, as the vessel manages to enter for docking.
Minutes later the door opens and you stand in a long corridor, connecting the two vessels. It is metal, magically lit from above, with a single door on the far side of the corridor. Commotion can be heard on the otherside of the wall. Magical explosions can be heard even farther away.
The aquagnomes steadily fill the room, heading for the far door; many looking eager to get back to the fight. Others looking concerned by the threat of a literal army surrounding them.
Kaimos wakes, fully healed, with a gnome Cleric above you. The group funnels out with the aquagnomes, all eager to get back to the fight. You are all greeted by an officer, of some notable rank, that addresses the entire group.
"Thank you for aiding in the recovery effort of the... (did I ever name the first sub?). Welcome to the Torrent's Pride; noble vessel of the Deeptide family. We should have the remaining citizens onboard soon."
Seeing the anxiousness of everyone, the man adds; "Those that wish to get back to the action; may volunteer to add your name to the rotations. The first available shifts are eight hours from now." He lifts up a parchment, then hands it to another officer; which places it near the exit. "Sign up and we'll make sure you'll see action. Until then, follow the lieutenant, he with take you to your new rooms."
Glancing at the parchment, Kabarr tugs on Flayr as he follows the lieutenant. “Battle lust can be addictive.... let’s go rest and you can teach me more about magic. Do we know if we are still heading to our original destination?”

"Feel like new," Kaimos responds to Rolen. "That cleric definitely knew what he was doing." Listening to the lieutenant, he says, "I'm not especially eager to go back out and fight, but I am capable, and feel I should help defend us," and goes to sign the sheet.
"I suppose that means I'll have to sign up as well." Flayr mutters, scratching his name down on the parchment. "Come on then. I've been meaning to teach you 'Catapult'..."
Over time the chamber empties; the new passengers, following the lead of the sub's officers, are soon led down one long corridor after another until you all find a place of comfort to rest. Though rest is hard with the constant sound of combat just outside the vessel.
(Yes, though you may roleplay what you are doing during the time. This vessel appears more militaristic than the luxury vessel you were on; with much less frills.)
Flayr instructs Kabarr in the employment of the spell Shield but he is so exhausted that he stumbles over the hand movements and words. When the hour is up he bids Kabarr a good night and staggers to the sleeping quarters, where he collapses on one of the beds and falls asleep instantly.
Kabarr looks through one of Flayr older spell books after he goes to bed. Before taking a long rest he attends to his Greatsword checking for damage and sharpening the blade. As he falls asleep he thinks back to his time with the Drow in the under Dark. How similar fighting underwater felt to fighting through a drug reaction after being poisoned. The slowness of movement is continued into his dream by the movement of the sub.

Rolen and Kaimos are soon joined by Tirana and the lost Poldrik; which stands there with his pants still wet from the waist down.
The evening passes and you are all gathered to a massive dining room for the morning meal. Food is laid out and smells great. There is a stage on the farside, with several officers sitting at a table there, already eating. You can see each other as you enter.
Kaimos takes in Poldrik's still-wet pants as they walk towards the other pair and mutters to Rolen under his breath, "I don't think I want to know..." He smiles at Tirana, I'm glad you're all right."

Kabarr pulls out his Greatsword and takes his stance alongside the aquagnomes. “Let’s show them that we will not go down easily!”

Kaimos snores loudly. (Unless healers have gotten to me already)
Flayr sighs and takes up a position beside Kabarr.
(Was that respite long enough to qualify for a short rest?)

Flayr rubs his eyes wearily. "I'm not sure about anything anymore. Are you intending to put your name down for combat?"

Kaimos nods to Rolen. "I certainly intend to."
“I am willing to take a rotation. More practice and who knows how long until we get to our destination.” Says Kabarr.
