Custom Campaign - Cold Cash

(Got delayed by work and the holiday.  Releasing the character sheets as I finish them.  Yours is next on the list.)

(Ah. Ok. For some reason I thought that you had said they were finished. No rush though, it's all good.)

"Gnook, would you be interested in accompanying me and Kabarr to the library at the capital? The finest in the world, so they say." Flayr asks.

"Hm. Yes, I believe that I would be interested. When do we depart?"

Kabarr hands Gnook 100 pieces of gold and says, “If you need some supplies before we head out, let’s do that first.”   To Flayr he says “do you know where we are going? Maybe some more information would keep us all in the loop.”

(OOC: how many party members are there?)

(Gnook is teamed up with Flayr and Kabarr.  Rolen, Pang, and Kaimos are currently a different group.)

Rolen: (to everyone) "Tirana, is there anything to eat here?"

"Well, friends, I suggest we secure access to a transportation device before leaving for the Aqua Gnome capital. I am particularly interested in the gnomes' unique method of practicing transmutation. Gnook, you and I will have to have a discussion on it sometime. " Flayr says, hefting his pack and flipping through his spellbook. The light of adventure shines in his eyes.

Kabarr says, “ how do we get there?  I would like to upgrade my armor a bit before we head out.”

"I trust that Gnook knows the way. As for equipment, we should make some purchases before we set off." Flayr replies.

Gnook turns to Flayr.

"Ah, thing is, we don't really have a capital. We are a constantly moving race, and never stay is the same spot for a while. The closest things to capitals we have are the twelve huge submarine cities, one for each of our noble families, the Min family's submarine being the greatest of them all, of course. As for our method of transmutation(which is a thing now I guess :P), I am not much of a practitioner in magic, but my position as a noble required me to study in many fields, so I have some knowledge on the topic. I could possibly find out when the next submarine city is approaching, and we could possibly travel to it."

(@DM I think this is how it is, based on what we discussed. Let me know if I got anything wrong.) 

"Then the Min submarine it is!" Flayr, ever the improviser, declares.

"Well, seeing as I miiiight have left them behind, sneaking into my personal submarine while I was supposed to be studying, then went ahead of the Min submarine with a bunch of gold to go gamble it all away, then did gamble almost all of it away, then got attacked and lost my valuable personal submarine to those ice elves, costing our family a whole lot of gold, the Min submarine could be coming here soon, if it hasn't passed yet."

"*whimper* Mother is going to kill me..."

(Is there any way Gnook would be able to know when the next sub-city is coming?)

Kabarr says to Flayr won’t a look of concern,”fire Genasi on a boat... scary.... fire Genasi under water ... crazy.”

Gnook would know that one or more Aqua Gnome ships arrive in Ixetan every day; being a major port of the area.

Pang stirs awake as Tirana agrees to join the group to Qixallia.  She is very excited and nervous.  "Oh, you're awake." She says to Pang.  Then to the others she says; "So... when do you want to go?"

"Where's your sense of adventure?" Flayr cries. "I see it now! Three intrepid adventurer's battle to survive out of their element, surrounded by danger and death yet refusing to relinquish their grasp on life! "

“Okay my friend.  Trust goes both ways.  Before we leave I want to get some better armor.”  Kabarr says to Flayr.  To Gnook he says, “do gnomes make better armor than these hacks?”

 Poldrik sits up.  "So... I guess tell me about Qixallia?"  He asks Rolen and Kaimos as he continues to fidget with the wooden figurine.
