After finishing the remainder of his breakfastTak gets up from the table and heads over to the barkeep to order some nuts for Leaves and will hand the barkeep a silver piece. Returning to the group Tak says,
“Hopefully this will keep her from stabbing me for disturbing her beauty sleep. I’m up for anything today. Maybe they’re be an easy bounty on the board this morning.”
Once he receives the nuts he’ll head back to the room to wake her up.
" Well, if you want, I have a weeks worth of dirty dishes in the back. " Seeing your doubtful expressions he adds, "But if action is what you want, the city hall usually has some work needs doing. "
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tak Perception: 13
If Tak over hears the barkeeps comment, since he's waiting on the nuts, he will say "I'll have a crack at it" and go to the back and attempt to use Shape water to clean the dishes.
Locke leans into the group motioning for everyone to love in close.
“Guys I ran the numbers on our upcoming job. We have one group of shady characters who want us to steal poison from another group of shady characters. The goal as far as we know is to put the second group of shady characters out of business. Now we are being paid 1200gp for delivering the 50000gp worth of poison to group A. I propose we steal the poison and sell it ourselves. Potentially putting 2 groups out of business and making a lot more money for ourselves. I call the plan Locke’s Six. What do you think?”
"Did they specifically say we had to give them the poison? I thought we were just supposed to keep the poison from reaching the destination so the other gang goes out of business..." Shiv will say scratching his chin.
"That is a good question, Shiv. I was under the impression they wanted the poison for themselves, but you're right they didn't express that detail specifically. If that's the case getting paid to acquire an additional 50000 worth of goods seems like an even better and less complicated ordeal. "
"We could still be Locke's six though if it makes you feel better..."Shiv will say with a sharp toothed grin, his tongue flicking trying to locate where the delicous smell of bacon was coming from.
"It did not sound like the group that hired us is depending on this heist to make ends meet. I believe they just want to put another group out of business. Keeping this shipment will probably put us at odds with our current patrons" Atlas muses this, scratching his metal chin, causing sharp tinny screeching.
Locke sits back in his chair with a look of disappointment on his face.
"It does, thank you" Locke says as he crosses his arms in front of his chest and leans on the back to legs of his chair.
"Maybe we should get more information on both of these groups before we head out. As it stands we know very little about our employer and even less about the targets of our heist"
** As a Rogue would Locke know any more information about the criminal underworld here, or where to go to learn more? **
Len stares at Tak for a minute before hurrying off to the kitchen. He is back in a flash, shaking Tak by the hand with a grip of iron. "Many thanks, my friend! I just don't have the time for such work, what with running the bar and all. You will be well compensated." He hands you ten silver pieces.
"Thank you" Tak says, "Can I get that order of nuts when you get a chance?" Tak will walk back towards the group and wait for the order. Tossing a silver piece to each of his companions, "Sorry, what'd I miss? I was busy doing dishes."
OOC: In the interest of time, we'll say one of the group explains the previous conversation to Tak.
"I agree we should learn more about both organizations, but I also think it'd be unwise to make two enemies in one day instead of one."

Leaves awoke grudgingly, snagging the bowl into her nest and retreating into the dark confines.
"Land-dwellers!" She groused from within, as if Tak was not present. "Life aboard my clan-ship is constant, you're always on a bell schedule. I'm used to sleeping in when ever I get to port..."
Indeed, she considered the entire land-mass they were on as 'port'. Her beak poked back out of her nest as she spoke to Tak.
"But thanks for breakfast, feather duster. I'll have to remember to steal you something later."

By the power of Kenku, Leaves-Falling-In-The-Sea was somehow there in time to catch a piece of silver, probably intercepting one meant for someone else. She had just cantered into the room, having taken the time to preen and fluff her feathers, not to mention polishing her beak and claws. Notably absent this morning was her warpaint, and she seemed in a good mood. She was still wearing the leather hat she had found last night.
"Yes, fill me in too. Also, fruit juice bartender!"

The piece Leaves caught was meant for Atlas. However, since he was lost in thought at the time, he was ill-prepared to catch it. Instead, the silver bounced off of his metal frame with a sharp TING! Allowing it to be nabbed by their Kenku companion.
Seven guilds, who make up the Underworld Council, dominate the hierarchy of the underworld. Whenever a lesser guild pulls off a heist, sells an item on the black market, or declares war on another guild, they must first gain permission from the Underworld Council, and more often then not, pay a "permission tax". But there is one way a lesser guild can rise up in the ranks of the foul: if a guild eliminates one of the Big Seven, according to underworld law, they gain a seat in the Underworld Council and may exact taxes from the lesser guilds. Locke knows that neither the Slaine Guild nor the Cazanarro Guild are members of the Underworld Council.
Shiv will stand up, "I am ready to make a little more coin before our mission"The Viashino will say with a smile, flicking his tongue about. "I say we get out of here and get goin"

Tak returns from the back and pats Len on the shoulder pointing back to the kitchen, "All taken care of. So how much will that pay?"

“Let’s see what we can find out about the guilds and try to make some quick coin if possible by checking the city hall board.” Tak says.
