Leaves was curious about the tapestries and flapped over to look at them, breaking off from the group. Not being very schooled in history, she was interested to see if there were any Kenku involved...
Action: Investigate the tapestries and busts to get some history about Terra
Kenku are native to Terra, and thus are not represented on the High Council. However, the aaracrokra senator, Senator Windfellow, has proposed that the Kenku and a number of other intelligent native races should indeed be allowed a seat on the council and actively campaigns to make this a reality.
”it’s okay, Robin. Your people will have a voice one day even if they can’t speak. There has been large steps forward already. People just need to get past their own short sightedness. This isn’t the old world that they keep trying to cling to. This is Terra.”
Locke reaches out and his hand hovers over the Kenku’s shoulder. Then he sees Leaves’ coin purse. Locke lowers his hand for a moment, but then pulls away.
“Come on Robin lets go learn some more about these so called ‘Gangs’”
(so everyone realizes that if we were being watched on the way here the gang is totally going to think we are going to the police to tattle on the them right :D )
Leaves seemed uncomfortable with the physical closeness and shrugged away.
She briefly looked over at Locke, and saw his coin purse dangling enticingly. She lowered her hand for a moment, but then pulled back.
...
"Right this is Terra, and this is the new world. Even for Kenku..." She said gravely, absorbing her companions new ideals. It was known that Kenku were incapable of creating anything original, but they could mimic anything in existence-even ideas-and they had a hefty advantage adapting to the arrival of the new races. It was why Kenku like Leaves were sent into the world to learn whatever they could.
The idea that races should have some shared representation was previously unfathomable to her.
"...Right, off to work!" She chirped after a momentary hesitation, tugging off after Locke.
A squat little goblin clerk looks up from the paper in his hand as you approach, and adjusts the spectacles perched on the bridge of his nose. He coughs, shoves the paper under his desk, and regards you with beady black eyes.
"Hello friend!"The Viashino will blurt out as he leans eagerly over the desk looking at the goblin. "My friends and I are able bodied warriors and are looking to see if there are any job postings available for skilled adventurers!" Shiv would say as his tail thrashes around wildly with excitement. "We have a wide variety of skill sets really."he will say holding a claw to his lip. "I am really good at killing bad guys.. thieves and murderers... sometimes cultists.." He will then spend a moment listing off the different types of "bad guys" he likes to kill.
"Maybe something will less killing for once, Shiv? You do tend to make a mess sometimes," Jevyn stepped forward and pulled the viashino back a ways so he wasn't leaning over the goblin clerk. "Just a job that we can do relatively quickly that pays well enough for six people. Or maybe two jobs for three people each."
[I'm really sorry about the silence. I got hit with a few school projects all at once, but I'm mostly in a good spot for time management.]
The goblin taps the desk with a finger as he contemplates your question.
"That is quite a wide question, but perhaps I have something." He rummages around in a stack of papers for a minute. Adjusting his spectacles once more, he hands you a recruitment poster.
The goblin sighs and launches into a speech he has probably delivered many times before.
"Senator Windfellow, along with the gnome and halfling senators, has proposed the idea that the kenku... er, such as yourself, and a number of other races native to this continent be allowed a seat in the High Council. He has already gained the support of the wood elves, orcs, and and tieflings. Once the majority of the senate has approved this idea it will be made into law. But he has a long way to go before the majority vote in favor of this radical concept."

Tak notices Leaves inspecting the tapestry and puts a wing over her shoulder. "Soon your kind will have a seat as it should be."
Locke walks over to Leaves and the tapestry.

"May I be of assistance?" He squeaks.

"Where do we go to see what they have available?" Tak asks. (assuming the goblin handed the poster to the others out of his view.)
"The Watchtower, in the center of the city. Isn't fifteen minutes walk from here. " The goblin squeaks, looking anxious to be rid of your company.

"Thank you" Tak says bowing. "Shall we"
Tak turns towards the exit and begins to make his way to the tower.
Shiv will flick his tongue out a bit and then bounce along after Tak.
When Tak exits he will fly up about 30 ft and look for the aforementioned watchtower.

The Watchtower, easily one of the tallest buildings in the city, is a little east of your current position.

Leaves thought there was at least a few questions they could ask the Goblin before they left...
"Hey friend, before I go, what can you tell me about this Senator Windfellow I've been hearing about?"
If Shiv notices that people are still asking questions he will stay behind.
The goblin sighs and launches into a speech he has probably delivered many times before.

Tak will wait outside the Town hall for his companions.
