"I think my chainmail is probably better than the shirt but I will take the rest of the gear that is offered and will definitely wear the helmet as long as I can still bite people while wearing it!" Shiv will say with a toothy grin.
The burly man definitely gets a firm grip on Atlas, but the hulking construct is no stranger to hand-to-hand combat! He brings his arms up and clasps his hands together, and brings them down in a big hammer-like swing to knock his opponent prone!
Atlas hears the metal of his armor plated begin to whine as the mans bear like arms bend them! "What?!" comes a tinny, startled reply! Atlas will try to incapacitate him instead. He swings a big, metal-plated fist!
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gabriel grunts and loosens his grip, dropping the massive warforged to the ground. Wiping the blood from his nose, he tackles the prone Atlas and shoves his face under the mud, holding it there.
But Atlas is firmly held by the man. There's no threat of him suffocating as Atlas has no need to breathe, but not seeing is a pain. So he will attempt to throw Gabriel off of him (Another shove attempt to knock him prone)
Athletics to flip Gabriel off of him and knock him prone: 6

"It's not merely strength." Leaves quietly said to Jevyn. "I've studied various types of humanoids for my...well, anyway, wrestlers practice endurance combat. They can push their bodies past the point of self injury to assert, at least for a short time, a power far greater than you'd think. I can assure you Master Gabriel is in a great deal of pain, and his muscles are suffering from a powerful strain, but whereas it would cause any normal person would stop and quit-or die-he's trained himself to take as much pain as he needs to win." It was a seemingly random comment, but she hoped it could help Atlas win somehow...would it be possible for Atlas to strain his body in the same way? Or were Warforged limited in some way?
Atlas shakes off the mud, ejecting as much as possible from between his armor plates. "It was a great challenge." He states plainly. There's then a long pause. "What is this Hit Team?"
"It's the most efficient task force in Terra. We take on the hardened criminals and the thugs when their pretty sticks" Gabriel indicates the half-elf and Lang, "Just aren't up to the job. "
Witherwick steps forward. "It has just come to our attention that a shipment of a deadly poison, lithmir extract by name, is to be transported across the city at approximately 2:00 this morning. The majority of our forces is concentrated in the north of the city, and we are low on Watchmen. We need you six to intercept the shipment and apprehend the escort. "
"YES YES YES YES YES!" Shiv will say literally bouncing up and down with excitement, his tail flipping back and forth wildly. "I am really to hit that shipment hard!" Shiv will say with a grin. A moment later, he will look to Witherwick and narrow his eyes. "So what level of force are we allowed to use when "Apprehending the criminals?" The viashino will say lowering his voice.
(Also, it appears that Viashino are no longer a thing... it looks like they were removed for UA options so I don't know if you want me to change my race? Just let me know...)
Leaves stepped in front of Shiv, waving her claws.
"Wait! We need to talk this over as a flock...er, a team. Give us a few minutes."
Personally, she thought posing as guardsmen (surely they had planned this all along) would be a great help for securing the shipment...she gathered her friends into a huddle in a nearby room, so they could speak quietly.

"Alright, anybody want to speak up? I think we can do this and play both sides...depends if they wanted that poison or they just wanted it stopped. I don't recall them being very specific, myself..."
((OOC: Btw, asking the GM for clarification on what exactly the previous job offer was to do with the poison))
"Guardsmen is a perfect cover and we could always say the shipment was destroyed during the fight... I think Slaine said we would have 4 associates to accompany us and handle the shipment. If the guardsmen want us to apprehend the transport they probably expect survivors and the package. We can't have survivors or they would give us away. From what Locke said neither guild is large so I think if it came down to sides I'd rather have the support of the entire guard than a small crime syndicate." Tak adds.
"I don't really care what happens to the shipment... If we hit the caravan, I have no problem escorting any prisoners back to HQ with the four other members of the watch if the rest of you want to skim some of the shipment off the top... I think trying to take the whole load is going to be rough but whatever you all want to do.... I have no problem playing both sides... but I would rather do it as an undercover watchman trying to bring down a gang than merely pretending to be a watchman so I can steal a shipment of goods for my own profit" Shiv will say with a low voice.. his tail suprisingly still...

Leaves waves off the offered gear.
"None of that is useful to me. Armors too heavy, my bow and swords are better, and I sincerely doubt you have a helmet that fits me."
She did pin to the badge to her feathered chest, however.
"I think my chainmail is probably better than the shirt but I will take the rest of the gear that is offered and will definitely wear the helmet as long as I can still bite people while wearing it!" Shiv will say with a toothy grin.
Tak will also decline the equipment.
"I'll take a dagger and grappling hook if you have those available. If not I'm not in need of anything else."
Atlas is shocked, which is pretty unusual for him to say the least. What's even more unusual is to be lifted off the ground to deftly!

Jevyn winced as he heard the sound of creaking metal. "What does this Gabriel guy do to get that strong? I've never seen Atlas in a bind like this."

In a last-ditch effort, Atlas tries to grasp Gabriel one last time in order to hurl the man from on top of him!

Atlas' armored plates are jammed with mud and he is unable to free himself as Gabriel finishes the countdown and pulls you to your feet.
"A worthy fight, a worthy fighter! You must join my Hit Team." Gabriel praises.

(The Slaine Guild requested that you steal the shipment specifically.)
