" You and Leaves can decide and tell us through Esme once the debriefing is over." Tak responds "Unless anyone has a better idea. I don't know the city that well."
Esme, now in the form of a barn owl, flapped over to Locke's shoulder. "Remember. Exactly one hour from now." Jevyn addressed the rest of the party. "Anybody have anything they'd like to take care of before we reconvene?"
The six of you exit the training grounds, your newly acquired badges drawing respectful nods from the passersby about you. You part ways in the center of the city, Locke and Leaves heading for the Frowning Jester Tavern and it's questionable clientele, and Atlas, Shiv, Jevyn, and Tak to the more pleasant task of exploring the city. The scent of warm pastries and meat smells doubly delicious after your exhausting ordeal.
Locke and Leaves take the back alleys, and their lot is the noxious odor of garbage and sewage. You arrive at the Frowning Jester anhour or so later, and this time the two bouncers nod to you and step aside without a challenge. They clearly have specific orders to show respect to a certain human rogue and kenku ranger.
Leaves nodded. She was good at watching Lockes back for trouble, and could read things into people-particularly humans and lizardfolk-he might miss. Her beady eyes scanned the room by nature.
The badge had gone who knows where. It's unlikely anyone would ever see it again, having been added to her personal treasures.
You immediately spot Lazarus. The albino tiefling is lounging at one of the tables, a massive mug resting on the table before him. He idly rolls a pair of dice, snatching them up without even looking at them.
Jevyn continued with the group, checking the time every so often. As Leaves and Locke reached the Frowning Jester, Jevyn switched his view to that of Esme- or at least he would if he was in range. "We're too far out," he muttered aloud. "Shiv, Atlas, Tak. We need to move closer to them. I miscalculated the distance from here to there."
Leaves must have seen the Tiefling at the same time her partner did. A subtle Kenku whisper floated up to him, though she did not turn her head or give any sign of recognition.
"Good day Lazarus" Locke Greets the Tiefling and pulls out a chair for him self and one for leaves then sits down. "I have some information that you may be interested in."
Leaves flapped into her own seat, after checking to make sure it wouldn't collapse or maybe had a nail in it. Lockes display of politesse was unusual to her.
The tiefling does not return your smile with his customary grin. Not even looking up from the pair of dice he is rolling, Lazarus replies, also in Thieves' Cant.
"It has recently come to our attention that you are interested in joining the City Watch. Tell me, what has prompted this sudden... change of heart?"
"Shiv and Atlas, head back to the watchtower for our breifing before it's too late. I will go with Jevyn and fly back to y'all once Jevyn can make contact with Locke and Leaves through Esme and I will fly between to transfer messages quickly" Tak says as he purchases a cooked chicken and tosses it to Shiv.
"Sounds good. Come, Tak. We have a bit of a trek ahead of us, I think," Jevyn said as he took out the map of God's Hope. He traced a finger over the map's surface, trying to find where they were relative to the Frowning Jester.
Survival to get within 100 feet of the Frowning Jester: 13 (If with advantage because of the map: 3)
[DOUBLE 1's???? Should I hang up my wizard hat and cloak now?]
Shiv would give Tak a good pat on the shoulder and he tears into the chicken on the way to the watch tower, licking his lips and sucking on the ends of his clawed fingers as he walks. "Thank you friend! I was starving!" The Viashino would say with a smile.

Locke waits for Jevyn’s ritual to finish then turns to Leaves “Well ol’ chum, shall we”
Locke takes a few steps before turning back to the group “Where and when should we meet up with you guys?”
" You and Leaves can decide and tell us through Esme once the debriefing is over." Tak responds "Unless anyone has a better idea. I don't know the city that well."
Leaves nodded silently, assenting to the plan.
"Great! Then we will reconvene at a later time" Locke says as he heads out towards The Frowning Jester.
Esme, now in the form of a barn owl, flapped over to Locke's shoulder. "Remember. Exactly one hour from now." Jevyn addressed the rest of the party. "Anybody have anything they'd like to take care of before we reconvene?"

** I assume the frowning jester is further away from Jevyn than 100’ that the familiar would no longer be with them **
On the way Locke will take off his badge, put it inside his jacket pocket and will suggest Leaves does the same.
Locke turns to Leaves. ”When we get in there let me do the talking, my avian associate. I speak these people’s language”
“Respect” Locke says in Theives Cant as he lasts the bouncers. Upon entering Locke will look for Slaine or Lazarus.

Shiv will bounce around excitedly through the crowds. He will keep an eye out for criminals and also an eye out for any pies or cooked chickens.
Pies and cooked chickens abound, to Shiv's great delight.

"Bet you a gold piece he cheats."
"you're on"
Locke and his companion move towards Lazarus.

Shiv would have had every intention to being at the watch tower 15 minutes early for the meeting.
