Jevyn took his share of the gold. As he counted it out, he looked at the cart. "Anyone particularly proficient with this sort of thing? I've never been particularly good with anything I haven't summoned myself."
[Is it 250.5 GP for everyone or are we still going to count Locke's share for now, since I'm sure JJ has something planned for him that we don't know about?]
(Believe me, you know just as much as I do about Locke's fate. I'll come up with something. ;) )
Len slams open the back door. "Run for it!" He yells. "They're breaking down the front door! And don't even think about staying. I can convince them of my innocence, but not if you four are hanging around!"
(Technically i left Locke outside the place where Tak picked up the chest and told him to wait there, then told the group he was meeting us outside the city. I probably should've rolled deception)
(Tak wasn't. Tak knew that once the slaine guild found out it was a fake, they would come for us so if Locke was an easy target/ diversion it could buy them time. Thus he formed the plan of telling Locke to stay where he was while Tak flew off with the gold. Then once Tak returned to the rest of his comrades he would say Locke was meeting them outside the city "a mile away" so when Locke wasn't there the group would think that he had run away or got captured, allowing the group extra time to escape.)
The last exchange you hear as you depart the Cowardly Lion is Len bellowing at the intruders and an apprehensive goice stammering a reply. You get the feeling that the loxodon can take care of himself.
You encounter no more trouble as the cart, pulled by a sturdy mule, rattles through the streets of The God's Hope, and within the hour you have been waved through the city gates by a sleepy guard. A vast expanse of hills and scattered forests stands between you and the nearest recognized town, a fishing settlement, Byting, fifty miles down the coast. Beyond that is the domain of the wolf and the bear, of ancient empires and savage natives.
You leave behind the comforts of civilization and enter the unexplored wilds of Terra.
You continue down the dirt road which leads as far as Byting, passing several rural farming communities as the sun begins to sink on the horizon. By the time night has fallen, you are in wild country. The farmhouses are replaced by towering trees, which loom over you impassively. You stop for the night in a clearing just off the road as the moon rises in the sky.

((Too bad it's entirely out of character for Leaves to abandon someone she's currently copying mannerisms from, but we'll just have to roll with it.
@Xtracrispy07You should roll deception :P She won't confront you for the sake moving on the game, but if you fail, Leaves will remember that.))
Leaves seemed to be more relaxed in the wilds, but she hadn't talked much or interacted with the others recently. Locke's disappearance had affected her more heavily than the other members of the group. She was silent and thoughtful, organizing her memories of him into the person she was becoming.
Upon stopping, she immediately began a recon of the area.
"Get a fire going. And make dinner." She said brusquely, vanishing into the brush.
Action: Survival to scout the immediate area for signs of threats be they animal, man or weather related
Shiv would quietly gather some wood and stack it in a pile before lighting a fire. Every now and then making sure he still had the object close by as he pats his vest.

Jevyn takes some time to reshape Esme's form. Performing the find familiar ritual, he reshaped Esme into an owl. Closer to a raven than a lizard was, Esme seemed less than pleased, but happier than she was as the small reptile. As she fluttered up to his shoulder, Jevyn paused to address the party. "I'm going to send Esme back a ways to see if we were followed at all. Tap me on the shoulder if anything comes up." With that, Esme took flight, flying back the way the party trekked across the countryside 300 feet, and Jevyn's eyes glazed over as he began to see through her senses.
Perception via Esme: 15 [Advantage from Keen Hearing and Sight]
[Byting is here too! Good times, what with the fish people and eldritch horrors.]
(Easter egg! When I find a fantasy name I like, I don't give up on it easily!)
Leaves scouts the immediate area and notices rustling in the bushes on her peripheral vision, but they always cease when she approaches to investigate.
There is no shortage of dry wood, and Shiv and Tak soon have a roaring fire going with a combination of manual labor and magic.
Esme sees no creature besides an owl on the hunt.
(I'm not sure how you guys want to handle travel, but I personally like to go about it Lord of the Rings style, where the journey is often just as much a part of the story as the destination. I'll do this with a combination of travel-montages, encounters, and locations. Any thoughts?)
Jevyn recognizes the owl as a common breed native to the temperate forests of Terra.
In a gap in the trees below him, a short distance from the temporary encampment, Tak sees a silver pool ringed in by pale white flowers. The pool reflects the light of the full mon and shimmers with an otherworldly quality.

"Let's go!" Tak says.
Shiv is out the door, running or getting in a cart or whatever the game plan is!
(To clarify: You are not planning on picking up Locke?)

Shiv witnessed Locke try to steal from others on a few occasions and doesn't really care if they get him or not lol
[Jevyn is technically Lawful Evil, as a good hobgoblin should be. I feel bad as a person, but I don't think Jevyn would particularly mind.]
Jevyn hopped up onto the cart. "I'll try to keep them back if they start coming after us. Someone take the reins!"

Deception: 19
Tak will assist Shiv with the fire using Produce Flame.
Insight 19
The slighest shudder of Taks wing-feathers was all she needed to know.

Jevyn focuses in on the owl, trying to tell if it is a familiar or a normal owl.
Nature: 19 (+2 more if it's actually Arcana.)
[I'm cool with that kind of thing. I've been trying to figure out how to handle travel for Eternal Warfare, and that seems like a good way to do it.]

Tak will fly around to see if there is any water nearby. If so he will attempt to hunt some fish for dinner.
