Lero has a look of disappointment on his face as he hands the notebook back to Flux. "The visions have faded," he says. What once was beautiful aether flowing around the chamber has been replaced by the dull cavern walls and the glow of moss.
"Namura has been stricken by some sort of fatigue. Make that go away, and your price to me will be paid." He looks over at Namura after saying this and adds, "You're strong and you hide it well, but I can see it in your actions. We need you well."
"In that case, for my gift I want you to grant Lero the Wisdom of the Elves," Namura said simply, deciding to ignore Lero's revelation that she was still sick.
In truth, she had been feeling worse after her trance. Her eyesight had grown cloudier and she had still felt so tired. It had scared her, but Namura was too proud to share that with the rest of the group. They had needed her to be well, so she had intended to pretend until she started feeling better.
Szayez smiles at their requests. "Ssselflessssss acts, from the both of you." His smile quickly fades though, as he continues, "But the art of healing iss above me. I do not have accessssss to white mana and such sssspellsss that could cure your ailment, nor do I know anything of the local fauna and its propertiessss that might help heal you... which, for that matter, I also don't know your ailment. These things said, I can bestow such a gift to your close friend, Lero." He pulls out a vial of liquid, the liquid shimmering amidst shades of red, blue and purple. "Thissss vial issss an essssence if wisssssdom. Don't assssk how I got it. It'sssss... too complicated."
"Why thank you. This would have made life much easier yesterday, had I had something of the sort. Just a handful of questions about it: you've explained how to get a creature in, but how do I get it out again? Would it work on a lifecraft? Finally, is it single use or reusable?"
Flux is impressed by the technology that must be involved in the item, in addition to the raw magical power flowing through it, though the magic doesn't appear to be the aether everyone in Kaladesh is familiar with.

"The bugs caused whatever sickness she's afflicted with... what about something that will raise her constitution. Something that'll help her natural immunity fight off the disease?" He looks down at the little vial in his hand and shakes his head. "You're some kind of master bio-snake-man, right? There's got to be something you can do."
Quill gingerly took the sack from Szayez, and using a technique not unlike that of Aetherborn with the Gift, absorbed the contents into his body. The foreign mana was strange at first, but appeared to settle after a short while.
"To get it out?" he addresses Flux. "You jusssst throw it againssst a ssssolid object, and the creature will appear where the sssphere ssssstruck. And lifecraft? I don't know the term, sssso I wouldn't know. You should jusssst try it out when you find one. And ass long asss you don't throw it ssso hard that it doesssssn't break, than it can be usssed again."
His mind swirls with thoughts on healing her ailment and other monsters he's encountered. But he shakes his head. "Such things might be possible, but the side effects would be.... undesirable. Unless you'd like to die and come back to life. But that isn't my specialty, in either case. I'm afraid I don't have the skills to help you."
"Ok, I'll do that then. As for Namura, I've been considering what may be causing her ailment, and I've come up with something that should help, and shouldn't have any negative side effects."
Flux pulls out of their satchel a salve which immediately and visibly draws in some of the ambient aether. They approach Namura, and apply some of this salve to her neck [Casting Lesser Restoration].

"We have bigger problems to worry about, I'm fin-" Namura's protests were interrupted as Flux rubbed some salve on her neck. The elf gasped as she felt a burning warmth spread from the site of he application, grabbing Flux's shoulder for support. She felt as if she was going to collapse for a long few seconds, but with every blink her vision cleared. The world came back into focus and the pain faded. Namura still felt exhausted, but a wave of relief washed over her again.
"Oh," she murmured incredulously, finally getting a good look a her surroundings. "Thank you Flux," she said softly before awkwardly wrapping her arms around the aetherborn for a very quick (and even more stiff) hug.
Lero watched as Flux rubbed the ointment and seemingly fixed Namura's ailment. "Wow Flux... thank you. I didn't know you could do that." He seems relieved that she's well. She'll probably have to rest again to feel 100%, but this was a start.
He turns back to Szayez and raises the small vial he gave him, "I'll take this. Allow Namura to request something else for herself, if she so desires. I honestly didn't even think about getting the... wisdom of the elves as a reward for helping you." He nods to Namura, "It was a very good idea."
"I don't even care," Namura replied to Flux with a soft smile. "It's just such a relief to just be able to see again."
The ranger turned back to Szayez, contemplating what sort of modification she could need. "I am quite happy with my skills the way they are," she said slowly. "But in truth, we could use allies. I would like a favor, to be called in when we need you most. Perhaps you can give us a way to call you, so that if we need assistance in battle, you and your Crocanura could come to our aid."
Szayez sighs and shakes his head. "I breed and bioengineer living organismsss, my dear. I don't have any sskill in teleportation magic. That'ssss more in line with the Izzet..." He shakes his head again. "Not that you would know who they are either. Crazy ssssscientistss and magessss. A madhouse, but they have their diamonds amongssst the dirt. Anyway, I can't fulfill that request either. Something else on your mind?
By this time, Gemphora has spit out the large fish that she sucked into her mouth earlier, and begins eating it once again.
"I hope you'll be patient with me not understanding the scope of your abilities, I've never met anyone like you," Namura frowned and pinched the bridge of her nose. After a long moment of contemplation, she decided on a new idea. "Do you have any healing droughts?"
"Healing droughtsss? I offer you the chance to perfect yourself through gloriousss evolution... and you want healing droughts?" The confusion, and slight disdain, are both evident in his telepathic voice. "But if that'sss what you want, I do have a few for emergenciesssss that I can give you..." He pulls out four vials, the red liquid glimmering in each of them as they move. "They're a notch above the basssic healing drought, sso fairly potent."
"Like I said before, I'm happy the way I am," Namura pocketed the vials. "And what good is all of your glorious evolution if we are too dead to use it?" The ranger rubbed some of the sleep from her eyes, finally allowing herself to feel tired.
"Szayez, we appreciate all of your gifts. Just know that as soon as we deal with Chaxaxeuduhm, I will come back to check on you and your Crocanura. And if I find that you have ruined my forest, I will have to go after you both," the elf turned back to her party members at the conclusion of her ultimatum. "Are we ready to go now?" She asked them, eager to return to the rest of their party and perhaps take a rest.
Quill nodded in agreement. "It has been a pleasure, Master Szayez. I hope that we can meet again sometime. I would like to discuss research with you, if we ever get the chance." Quill nodded at the rest of the party, affirming that he was ready to go.
Szayez nods his head and smiles. "Of courssse. Besssst of luck to you in your quesssst, heroesss." Szayez turns his attention to Gemphora, giving it a big hug before closely examining the eggs.
The party makes their way back to the camp, noting the time to be about 1:00 p.m. before they arrive to their little alcove where Buama has waited with the two lifecraft and Elto's control module. The quietness of the swamp around the lhaesvinbiir is soothing, with the only noise being from a faint breeze which rustles the leaves and vines high above you.
OOC: A couple of options for where to go. You have the "supposed" Consulate ship, docked on the southeast side of the lhaesvinbiir. You also have the Darksite to go visit still, which Quill would know is maybe a half hour away along the northern side of the tree. You are currently along the west side of the tree.
Lero climbs out of the murky water and watches the sun, hand raised to his brow. "We've lost time again," he says. "Those tunnels are not to be trifled with."
"I don't think we should be rushing into the Dark Site just yet. I think we should see what we can do about this consulate ship..."
Looking over to Buama he asks, "How did the morning go?" Before she can answer he adds, "Do you want to blow up a consulate ship?"
Buama grins. "Only if you are ready to kill the roaches that run from it."
She carefully puts Elto back in his packaging. "Yes, you will get to help and record the fun." She pats the control module of Elto as if she could pat his shoulder. "I really should figure out how to put an eye on you, but this morning's attempt had a compatibility issue."
She looks back up at Lero. "So did you find the beast and where it laid its eggs?"

"Yes, it has certainly helped, but more rest will be required for a full recovery."
Flux is a little taken aback by the sudden hug, but also glad to see that the salve had the intended effect.
