Meep seeing the face of the kruthik, "No. No. No. No." Shaking his head as he moves right around the corner, furthest away from the Kruthik. Once his back is safely against the wall he'd set his box down and point at Kamos, "Fancy feet, do that again."
Bardic Inspiration for Kamos. 1d6 to a d20 before or after you roll. Used within 10 minutes.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Well this is certainly unexpected"
Jaylen will walk next to Kamos and cast Shield of Faith on him as a bonus action raising his AC by two. He will then point his finger at the larger creature (If it is still alive that is, if not he will target a smaller one)
Action: Toll the Dead DC 13 Wisdom save 1 necrotic damage if it fails.
If it has to target a smaller one and they are uninjured then it's 5 necrotic damage
Meep, after seeing the kruthik, retreats in fear and urges Kamos to finish the thing off - granting him inspiration.
Kamos continues his attack as the first one seemed to be very effective. With the kruthik now turned, Kamos aims and lands a shot on the bottom half of its torso, which lacks the armoured plates to protect it. In pain, the kruthik sways abruptly and forces Kamos to take a step back. (Big Kruthik-12HP)
Dhara re-adjusts her aim and releases another arrow upon the kruthik, but as the creature sways from Kamos’ attack, Dhara’s arrow once again hits the armoured plating and bounces off.
The Small Kruthik-1 runs forward, flanking Kamos. It lifts its front leg and lunges it aggressively to stab Kamos. However, it loses its balance and hits the ground instead.
Jaylen runs to aid Kamos, making a shimmering field appear around him. Then, Jaylen turns his attention to the big kruthik and points at it, but the creature just continues to stare at Kamos (Kamos+2AC for 10m)
The Big Kruthik, agitated and in pain, lifts itself on its back legs and slams its front legs back down. The first sharply pointed leg, by all accounts, should have hit Kamos, but it seemingly slides off the shimmering field. The second leg then falls, hitting Kamos and severing his side. (Kamos-8HP)
Halhace moves quickly to throw another mote of fire at the big kruthik. This time the fire hits the kruthik’s head, erupting in a puff of fire and smoke. After a moment of it standing still, the big kruthik falls stiff to the ground. (Big Kruthik is DEAD)
The Small Kruthik 2, seeing the big one fall, runs full speed (30ft) away from the party.
To the party "We can't let it escape, there might be a whole hive of those things down here! Kamos, take care of that one" Jaylen quickly nods toward the first small kruthik that fell. He then mutters arcane words under his breath and points his staff at the fleeing kruthik. From the tip of the staff almost instantly a thorny vine buds, then blooms, then lashes out toward the kruthik, and then withers and disappears almost as quickly.
Action: Thorn Whip
11 to hit
If hit the kruthik is pulled 10 ft closer to us and takes 5 magical piercing damage
Halhace will move to pop around the corner and fire at the smaller creature that has not run away with another Firebolt, finding the spell to be rather effective at killing the kuthriks.
Dhara shakes her head at her lousy aim, pulls out another arrow and lines up her shot. She shifts her Hunter's Mark to the escaping beast, and then looses the arrow at it.
Meep picks his box back up while slowly moving toward the others, "Meep eats them now, yes?" He had seen the large one drop so quickly and assumed the same about the smaller kruthik, but as he got closer he saw one still alive. Not as fearful of the smaller one, the kobold bares his teeth. "Stupid, bug. Don't even make proper tunnels."
As the big kruthik falls and one of the small creatures’ runs, Jaylen shouts, instructing Kamos to kill the little one in front of him and encouraging the party to finish them off before they can alert any other of their kind to the party’s presence.
As Meep sees the big kruthik fall, he closes in towards Kamos and Jaylen. When he sees the small kruthik still facing Kamos, Meep bares his teeth and insults it. (Small Kruthik 1 -4HP)
Kamos runs after the small kruthik2, not wanting it to get away. He catches up to it and punches it with all his strength, slightly stunning it. (Small Kruthik 2 -6HP)
Dhara, frustrated at her lousy aim thus far, manages to clear her head as she moves to the centre of the room and looses an arrow at the retreating kruthik. The arrow flies past Kamos and impales the stunned creature to the ground. A slight twitching is all the movement the creature gives. (Small Kruthik 2 is DEAD)
Trapped between the body of the big kruthik and Jaylen, the Small Kruthik 1 tries to fight its way out. It lifts its leg to stab Jaylen, but once again fails, completely missing him.
Jaylen repays the creature by slamming his quarterstaff on top of it, (Small Kruthik1 is DEAD)
FIGHT IS OVER. All current enemies defeated. (Sorry Halhace)
(All good I at least did better then another game where I didn't hit a single time in two combat encounters.)
With the creatures dead, Halhace will move back with the rest of the party, looking at the creatures as he pokes the big one with the tip of his quarterstaff. "I have the feeling these are not the only ones will will come across."
To Halhace "I was afraid you would say that. Perhaps some of the more stealthy among us could attempt to scout out a path ahead so that we may avoid these creatures if possible, and if they prove unavoidable we can at least have forewarning and set an ambush or trap of some kind"
