Meep rather frustrated at this point will simply continue to hurl insults at the suit of armor. The lack of shine, poor quality, dents, dings, and scratches.
Meep continues to insult the armour, frustrated that it’s still standing.
Dhara fires again at the armour. Only this time, the arrow hits and pierces the metal.
Jaylen swings at the armour, but at that moment, a sharp pain from all the damage he took shoots up his body and he misses.
Halhace, now more angry than frustrated over all the missed attacks, slams his staff into the ground, stabilises himself and shoots one more firebolt. The firebolt blasts into the armours helm and with a loud shrieking of metal the helm visibly bends from impact.
Following Halhaces firebolt, Kamos runs to the armour and punches it. The first swing misses, as the armour sways from the fireblot impact. The next one hits with just enough strength that the armour slides over the floor for a couple of feet, where it topples over, falling to the floor. Whatever was holding the armour together is gone, as parts that are not jointed fall away. Parts of the suit lay motionless on the floor. (Armour is DEAD)
Halhace nods as the armor falls to the floor, dusting himself off as he returns to the rest of the group. "Now that this blasted thing is done if it is not ruined perhaps it would be wise to salvage what is useful.
"I agree. I also think we should consider popping behind this wall and taking a rest - some of us are injured and it should keep us out of sight of this 'puddle'".
I'll search the remains of the armour and also retrieve my arrows.
"Yes a rest is in order. And I am interested to see what lays beyond the illusory wall. Dhara did you find any arcane writing or symbols on the other side?"
"I don't recall seeing any, no. Just that guy (kicks a piece of it on the ground), and a small room with a desk, and another door that goes ...somewhere."
Kamos: (to the party) "After that near death experience im not in a hurry to go off to the next one. Thank you Jaylen and Dhara for saving me. i owe you both one."
(are we taking a short rest or a long rest?)

"No thanks necessary my friend. I am sure you all would have done the same for me. But let us catch our breath in the room beyond. I certainly like our chances of getting an undisturbed respite between a closed door and an illusory wall better than out here in the open"
Halhace and Dhara look over the armour. It is an embellished plate armour, without the inside padding. To be used, it would have to be padded and repaired from all of the beating it took from you guys. The metal looks to be, although old, of very good quality. You don’t find anything else on it.
(Is everyone going through the illusion wall or staying on the side you fought? It has only been a couple of hours since you’ve been in the tunnels. It would be about half way to midday.)
"Well Meep seems reluctant to pass through this wall, but it is nothing more than an illusion - it will keep us out of sight for a bit while we tend to some of our wounds. If we stay out here you never know what could stumble across us. Also, there is another door in there that we could investigate. I didn't try to open it because .. you know .. I got jumped by magic armour".
"I should like to use the ritual I used earlier to detect the presence of magics in the are so we can investigate the room properly. We should bring the armour with us inside, and examine it further as well"
I ritual cast detect magic, and following that, bring the armour in past the illusion with me, unless someone drags the armour in first.
Halhace shrugs and moves to take the armor despite that need to be repaired, figuring at the very least they could perhaps sell the armor for scrap and make a few coins. If it seems that no one is getting hurt from the strange wall he will make his way through.
In the time Jaylen performs the ritual for detect magic, Halhace gathers up the embellished plate armour.
With a short instruction to everyone on how to get through the wall, Jaylen swiftly crosses over. Dhara following closely after him
(Kamos, Halhace and Meep – if you feel you will have no problem convincing yourself that there is no wall then you don’t need to roll. Otherwise roll 1d20 – DC5, on fail you hit the wall and can’t cross)
You cross through the illusion wall. On the other side, the wall parallel to the illusion wall is made of stone blocks and in the middle is a thick open door. Beyond is a messy room that has long been abandoned and forgotten. In the room opposite the open door is another door. The wall between them is lined with cupboards. Parallel to the cupboards and in line with the open door, is a desk piled with parchments and books; most of which are damaged beyond repair and fallen apart. Beyond the desk, the rest of the room is a mass of things, with 5 glass columns in the middle of it all.
Jaylen, you don’t see any new auras of magic.
(Dhara – when you were in the room last, you took the gold. What about the box and the 3 books?)

I'm guessing a short rest, unless we want to set up camp here. I'm not sure how long we've been travelling for at this point?
