Themberchaud - "Your pursuit is more likely because of a mortal pride that has been damaged. Or perhaps a disgrace that must be amended. Mistress Ilvara, of whom you escaped from seeks your punishment...or sacrifice. As for your companions, I don't make it my business to know the whereabouts of all creatures in the Underdark nor will I expend my energy to locate them. You'd do well to befriend a wizard who may scrye their location."
Lord Holderhek - "Dormo wins again! Blingdenstone pulls ahead with 2 points while Adbar remains at 1. With three rounds left, it's anybody's contest!" The crowd is getting rowdy. Another mug is brought to each of the contestants. This one is heavy with a creamy finish. "Contestants ready...on your mark...get set...GO!"
To Thumberchaud. "So he really was protecting something of value? That stubborn old bastard! If only he hadn't been so secretive, I could have helped him! . . . I'll find the bastards responsible and make them understand they made a grave mistake the day they killed my father!"
To Leon, "The gem . . . I am not your enemy, but that gem is . . . Damn it I'm not even sure what I would do with it. But I ask you for it now so that I may decide when the time comes . . . it was my father's and I believe he intended to entrust me with it . . . or at least the protection of it."
Back to Thumberchaud, "Thank you sir Thumberchaud, you've done me a great service with this information and I will see justice for my father's death. How is it that I may repay you?"
Themberchaud - “As an agent of a Dragon, this is only the beginning of many benefits you shall have. There is something that I must know...something these Keepers don’t want me to find out...and that INFURIATES ME!” the great Red Dragon shuffles on his mound of treasure and the earth shakes around you as does the ringing in your ears from the volume of his voice. “Hungry...tell Gartokkar that it is time I fed as you leave..” you can see that he is restless..
“Now that the demonic corruption is off of it you can have it back. I believe he was referring to me when saying Someone in our group could use it. I don’t know exactly how yet but when the time comes let me know and I am at your service. I know this is a rough moment for you with a lot going through your head. Take your time. I am here if you need counseling.”
"Thank you friend, I believe we'll need each other's help more than I realized in what lies ahead . . . This gem is a burden I wish my family had never come upon. I have no idea what my father's intentions, if any, were." Rowland shakes his head, "That bastard has ****ed me in death more than I ever thought possible while he still drew breath . . . I'm tempted to bring him back just so I can kick his arse like I should have done long ago! ****! I need an ale."
Turning back to Thumberchaud, "Sir, is there any other information you wish to impart upon us regarding this secret that the keepers are, uh 'keeping?'" Rowland shakes his head realizing how ridiculous that sounded.
Dawnbringer telepathically to Leon - “Leon, this spell gem is of the highest rarity. It contains an incredibly powerful spell called True Resurrection. With the right materials, you could use this spell to bring someone back from the dead..I wonder why it would have been given to a Human in a forest to be protected..”
“I’ll get somebody to feed ye now. Take these in the mean time.”
Elmo empties all of his pocket meats onto the ground. It’s a surprisingly sizable amount of cured meats For a halfling to have smuggled on his person. Several lbs worth. After emptying his pockets, elmo Darts out of the room shouting that the dragon is hungry.
In his rush, Elmo may not have seen the gleam of interest that the Red Dragon has towards the copious amounts of various dried meats spilling out of the Halfling's pockets.
Themberchaud muses to himself as the adventurers all leave, "Perhaps this group will prove themselves greater assets than the rest..."
Lord Holderhek - "Dormo has this match again! We're starting to see some slow-down happening and we're going to check on our mysterious turtle contestant who appears to be calling it a day judging by his head hanging low and the staring contest he's silently participating in with his own mug of ale..." the crowd cheers loudly then gasps at Mikey's unwillingness to continue followed by some booing in the crowd. The next round of ale is served and it's a pungent hoppy ale by the smell of it. "We have two rounds left, and Blingdenstone may be taking this year's prize - An audience with the Deepking!" The crowd cheers loudly again, ready for the next round to begin. "Contestants...on your mark...get set...GO!"
As the group departs the inner chambers, they exit to a lair where Gartokkar waits to take them to the guard house where the Keepers of the Flame keep watch. He darkly asks what business the dragon had with them.
Gartokkar - "Well? What business does Themberchaud have with outsiders?"

As they leave, Leon hands the gem to Rowland

Themberchaud - “That is what I expect you to find out, young Ranger. Now go. It is time to feed...” he begins pacing..
Telepathically to Dawnbringer
“Thank you my dear. Your knowledge is greatly appreciated.”
To Elmo and Rowland
”Let us return to to the entrance and speak with the gentleman out there so they can feed the dragon.”
The Red Dragon looks over towards Elmo, his tongue darts out and his nostrils flare. Clearly this dragon needs to eat...
“Okay boys let us go.”
Leon begins escorting everyone to the front to talk to Gartokkar
Panicking frantically
“I’ll get somebody to feed ye now. Take these in the mean time.”
