Bring it in close mates (elmo says in a whisper). Something aint been sitting right with Ol' Elmo. Something that Orc **** who's name I cant remember said. He said that our they have been receiving info about our group. How else could the drow have tracked us this far? (Elmo glances at each member of the party) I don't think that any of ye is a turn coat. That wouldn't make sense. What I do think is that we may be being followed. (Elmo glances over both shoulders) Specifically, I think we are being followed by the gnome **** Buppido. (elmo spits)
Something seemed off about him from the start.
Unless one of ye has a better answer for how the be tracking the lot of us, then I propose that we/I help (who ever has the highest investigation score) to look into Elmo's gut feeling. I was actually thinking of setting a trap for the **** if we cant find any clues off hand to see if im right. If we are going to make it out of here, eluding drow tracking could only help right mates? What do ye think mates?
Somebody roll an investigation check with advantage. Bob, if everybody is looking for clues (NPCs included), can we all do an investigation check at advantage? If not, then only the best investigator should try right?
I only get plus 1 to my investigation check so it probably isn't my job.
To the party: "It's worth looking into, but I'm not sure Elmo is correct. The drow have been hunting and enslaving people in the underdark for centuries. I'm kinda shocked that they didn't catch up to us sooner. They wouldn't necessarily need a guide to do it. If they are getting info, I'm thinking it might be because these demons are in our heads, or have you forgotten the haunting dreams as of late? I agree that we are probably being watched, but where are you getting Buppido from?!"
To roll for investigation with advantage, I'd recommend having either Elmo or LHutz make the roll and somebody assisting that person to grant advantage. Both Elmo and LHutz have +2 Investigation. You're investigating for clues to being tracked?
Lass, you and I have a history on needless bickering. I know that's not what you're trying to do now, but I feel like your reasoning ignores a lot of what Elmo and the rest of us have seen and heard. I like your theory about the dreams lass, but I dont think that's how they are tracking us. I think the dreams are why they are tracking us lass. I think the lot of us may have been chosen for something dark, and that we are needed. I think that's why hey be pulling out all the stops to find our band merry misfits. I suggest we do our best stop their ability to track us. The reason I be thinking its Buppido is based on years of experience and Elmos gut feelings. I know that may not be for some of ye to go on, but if ye could give me some of your time helping me get to the bottom of this, I think it could help us all.
(looks again at morg) If ye can lass, put your brain on a way to trap a sneaky gnome shite who may or may not be working against us. Find a way to trap a sneaky somebody would follow us lass. Id be happy to help set traps with ye.
Elmo and Gremryl look for any possible marks or indications that they're being followed, although there's nothing that they notice from their position. Morgana begrudgingly joins in the search and looks for anything that might give credibility to the notion that they're being followed by Buppido and comes up empty-handed.
It's clear to the group that they are being pursued, although the means of which their pursuers have been able to track the party still eludes the party. Perhaps laying a trap for their pursuer may yield better results, although unless the plan is to backtrack after some time to check on the trap, there's no guarantee that anything was accomplished by the effort.
Stool acknowledges Morgana and attempts to communicate with the plant-life around them, but also turns up nothing of value in terms of information. It appears that for now, they'll have to trudge on with the constant threat of being chased by their former Drow captors.
Deciding that it's best to move forward through the Underdark towards Gracklestugh, the party marches on for a few hours in silent contemplation of the discoveries they've made thus far. Elmo is in a 'scout-ahead' position and comes upon a loud clanging sound with shuffling noises coming from just up ahead. The cavern passageway is only wide enough for a single-file order and only about 5-feet high at best.
What does Elmo wish to do and how does he communicate his intentions to the party following him?
1. As we are hiking we want stool's psychic spores around us at all times so that we can be in constant communication.
2. I've got my mage hand out and at the ready at all times.
3. Morgana says to Elmo: "I won't say I told you so, because I don't hate you anymore, but take some advice from someone that's been down here allot longer than you have. Common sense and logical thinking are the only differences between the living and the dead. Stick to facts and leave your gut for digesting meat snacks (she giggles as she hands him one as she falls into line).
Elmo doubles back to let the group know what he heard and tells them to wait while he investigates further. Elmo then creeps forward slowly and cautiously to get a better eye on whats happening and causing the is clanging and shuffling noises.
Elmo sneaks forward after communicating back to the group what he's hearing. Once he gets close enough to start seeing what's making all the noise, Elmo sees the back of a Giant Rocktopus! Even though Elmo is unable to make out what the creature is currently engaged with, it's obvious to him that it's fighting something and it's attention is entirely focused on it, leaving Elmo with an opportunity to strike if he should choose to..
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I'll assume that Elmo communicated the situation to us telepathically. I'll go ahead and move up next to him since the rocktopus appears to be distracted. From there I'll try to do a perception check to see if I can make out what it's fighting with 17
Morgana only notices that there is another entity engaged in combat with the Giant Rocktopus. The cave is rather small, even for dwarves, halflings and tieflings so looking around creatures is nearly impossible.
To the party (silently/psychically): "I say whatever these two things are, we let one of them finish off the other. Then we kill the wounded survivor and reap the spoils! Anybody got a mirror or something shiny? I've got an idea."

wait, don't you have to write Hutz in first? Where did he come from?
He'll come in shortly. I'm going to have you travel through the Underdark towards Gracklestugh and 'bump' into another wayward traveler.
You'll also be learning LHutz's background through RP dialogue. It'll be his story to tell, if, when and how he wants to. :)
Responding to Morg
Elmo Begins searching for clues.
Elmo rolls with advantage due to Grems help: 11
To Elmo: "If it'll make you feel any better..." Investigation check=19
To stool: "See if you can put out some psychic spores and lock minds with anything out there in the dark. Let me know if you sense anything."

Gremryl will ready his weapons and move towards morgana to see this vile beast
I'd also like a better idea of what a roctupus is. Describe what I'm seeing please.
