Seeing the effect is just not quite what Morgana had in mind, she focuses all of her attention on repeatedly casting the Ray of Frost cantrip until the vessel is eventually held into position.  Wiping her brow clear of sweat from the effort, she then realizes because it was coming closer and closer that she's also frozen their own vessel together with the abandoned vessel!

"can you use your magey handy thingamajig lass?" pointing at the boat..

Hemeth what do you make of this?

Hemeth - "I'm pretty sure this boat isn't 'abandoned'. Be on your guard...but this is a cargo vessel.  It's likely not out to attack anybody."

As she glances into the boat, Morgana sings under her breath "row row row your boat, unless you are no friend, then you can go **** yourself, and die a fiery end!"

"I have a bad feeling about this.. " 

Gremryl wants to stab at the frozen ice with his javelin to attempt to free them of the boat!

Gremryl - Your efforts to break apart the ice joining both watercrafts is working.  If you wish to break free, you'll have to keep at it for now.  No additional rolls are necessary.

"I can break us free if need be! What do the plan?"

Hemeth takes the javelin.  Calling out gets a response from somewhere on the vessel, "We mean you no harm!"

Morgana sees nothing on the surface of the water.  You notice movement under the water's surface, but you deduce that it's not the source of the response, nor is it related to this boat.

"Then show yourselves, like good aquatic neighbors!"

Can elmo walk accross the ice?

"We're not idiots!  You look evil with your bat-wings!" You still can't make out exactly where the voices are coming from.  "You froze our ship to yours, you're stealing our ore...and you want us to show ourselves so you can what?  Kill us or take us as slaves?!"
