Harry takes his seat in the back of the cart and leans his quarterstaff up against his right shoulder with his right arm wrapped around it. He is wearing a leather duster style coat with just normal clothes underneath. He holds a book in his right hand that has an unmarked cover and his left hand traces small patterns in the air. Harry has short brown hair and his matching brown eyes seem to be locked onto the pages of the book. Between him and some of the cargo sits his backpack that holds the rest of his personal effects.

Too Anxious to sit, and perhaps having a small feeling of obligation, Kylar helps steer the cart. Knowing precious little of his new comrades, He finds few words. To pass the time, he recites his blade master's training in his head, prepping himself for danger, should it arise. His hand nearly always on the pummel of his longsword, His Blue eyes wonder the forest as he runs his hand through his dark-brown hair, hoping for a bath once they arrive.
Himo reads quietly in the rear of the cart; this trip has been relaxing and thankfully peaceful. His companions haven't been much for talk up to this point, which he is also thankful for. Not sure what he'll do when they get to town. He's not a big carouser, or gambler, and these backwoods areas don't often have much in the way of culture besides those things. Oh well, he shall figure something out.
The wagon, which is loaded with various mining supplies and rations, steers easily and the voyage is quite pleasant so far. You've been on the Triboar Trail for about half a day. As you come around a bend, you spot two dead horses sprawled about fifty feet ahead of you, blocking the path. Each has several black-feathered arrows sticking out of it. The woods press close to the trail here, with a steep embankment and dense thickets on either side.

The second the dead horses come into view, Whisper fits an arrow to his newly waxed bow and jumps of the wagon. He scans the area briefly before moving towards the dead horses.

SAKARIA
The moment she hears someone getting off the wagon the tiefling wakes up from her meditation state. "What is going on?"she asks to her new companions, her voice calm, while her hands go bracing her armaments, the right one on her mace and the other to her shield. Her gaze is directed towards the head of the wagon.
Himo looks up from the book as the wagon comes to a stop. "Hmm?" He says, "are we here already?" The horses surprise him a bit. He dons his shield, though he doesn't move from his spot on the wagon
Harry looks up from his book, snaps it shut and stores it in his backpack before jumping over the side of the wagon with his quarterstaff in hand saying in his resonant, baritone voice, "It is a little early to have reached Phandalin." Harry walks around the side of the wagon and in seeing the dead horses goes up to investigate.

Seeing his allies move forward to investigate, Kylar watches from the wagon, prepared to defend the driver. His sword drawn and shield raised, he sighs as he glances into the trees.
Answering the questions from the back of the wagon.
"Dead horses block our path, best be on our guard."
It is a clear sunny day, around noon, the area is well lit.
Kylar: as you see Harry and Whisper separating from the group and approaching the dead horses, you notice movement in the tree line. Your friends seem to be unaware and are solely fixed on the obstacle ahead.

Whisper calmly turns to contemplate these new foes. "They are goblins." He states quietly, the first words his companions have heard him utter in days.
