Clambering over the massive stone slab, Humphry emerges into a twenty foot corridor that runs parellel with the room in a straight line. At the west end is a wooden portcullis, and to the east a wooden door. The corridor also runs south from the room and branches east towards another wooden door. There are three exits total.
Dagon frowns darkly as he watches Perry manage with his splinted leg and quarterstaff, but the hulking half-orc remains quiet for a moment. He simply watches the Human, then rumbling deep in his chest, the marauder approaches and begins speaking quietly.
"When I was a pup hunting in the low mountains, I came across a bobcat trapped in a snare. The creature's hind leg was mangled and torn beyond recognition, but I still tried to kill it for it's pelt and it's meat. Never before or since have I met a bobcat as ferocious as that one, it fought like it feared nothing and had nothing to lose. The gods had given it four weapons and now it had three, but it used them with fierce abandon. Take a lesson from that respectable beast, Human."
Grunting and nodding at Perry, Dagon then turned and began following in the direction that Humphry had gone. He wouldn't go too far ahead without turning over his shoulder and glancing in Perry's direction though, silently remaining near enough at hand to assist the Human if he needed aid.
Kic will assist Perry to his feet and lift him up and fly him around (300lbs lift/ drag capacity assuming half movement so 25 ft flying) the stone slab and down the corridor behind Humphry. "Don't worry friend, soon we'll be out of this place and the healers will patch your leg up quickly. In the mean time best to keep your weight off it until we have to fight."
The half-orc marauder sniffs in thought again as the group reaches the next series of available pathways. He glances from the portcullis to the eastern door, toward the corridor that leads south, and back to the portcullis again. Snarling and muttering to himself beneath his breath in his own language, Dagon approaches the portcullis and leans his face as close to the openings in the barrier as he can. The barbaric warrior begins sniffing the air aggressively and pressing the side of his head against the portcullis in the hopes of hearing or smelling anything on the other side.
Perception Check, to hear or smell anything beyond the portcullis:8
After a moment of this, Dagon turns back to his companions and speaks. "We have encountered these before." He rumbles, large hand gripping and rattling the portcullis, "But have we yet gone past them? I believe we have opted for the doors instead. Shall we see what lies beyond this barricade or should we continue trying the conventional doorways?"
"I can smell something beyond this gate. It is very faint, but it reminds me of an active forge perhaps. Molten or heated metal, something of that nature." The half-orc grunts to his team, immediately conveying the information that his senses gather.

Dagon turns toward Kic and nods affirmatively. "Yes, I think we should go this way." Turning then in Humphry's direction, the half-orc will add, "If that is alright with you as well, little pack mate. We are all together in this. Are we safe to proceed?"
While waiting for the gnome's response, Dagon will glance around the area of the portcullis looking for any sort of opening mechanism.

The half-orc marauder briefly swats at an annoyance buzzing around his face and even snaps his jaws at it in a decidedly animalistic manner, but his momentary distraction is remedied by Humphry's affirmation to continue forward. Without yet identifying a particular mechanism or lever that might open the portcullis however, Dagon instead chooses to resort to the option he knows best. The brutish warrior squats down and grips the slats with both meaty hands, and closing his eyes to focus himself, begins trying to force the barrier with his entire body. His thighs flex and swell and the veins of his massive arms stand out starkly against the exposed areas of his grey/green colored flesh. The half-orc emits a visceral roar with the strain, but his resolve holds fast for the moment as he attempts to move the portcullis enough for him and his companions to pass through.
(Sorry about all the blunders, but Humphry when you investiagted the portcullis you found that when it is lifted a trap will be triggered, releasing magical flames into the face of the intruder.)
Dagon abruptly releases his hold on the portcullis and staggers back a step, defeated by the obstacle. The half-orc roars in anger at the inanimate object, spittle flying from between his jagged tusks, and he launches a futile but frustration relieving kick at the heavy iron barricade. He swears a lengthy and colorful streak of expletives in Giant before finally calming slightly, his hulking frame heaving with heavy breaths as he glowers menacingly at the portcullis. Finally, Dagon half turns to look over his shoulder and addresses his team in his surly, rumbling growl.
"If anyone else has a means of breaching this... contraption, they are welcome to try."

Kic will move Perry away from hte Portcullis and say" Back up a bit. Hopefully this works" and begins launching flames focused along the top of the portcullis in an attempt to weaken the top brackets enough to break through the obstacle.

Kic applies a crude splint, but he does not have the correct herbs to apply a salve. Perry, you will have to move at half speed until your leg heals.

Humphry sighs and shakes his head, then starts walking down the open doorway. All the while checking for traps in the corridor. Investigation 14

Through the narrow wooden slats you can smell a faint odor akin to melted steel.
