Kic turning to Humphry, "You said there was nothing at the eastern door perhaps we should try it and try to make our way around." Kic will turn and pick up Perry and move him closer to the eastern door but not too close in case of traps. Then he will walk over tot he door and try to open it silently.
Beyond is a large square room, with a stone dais on the northwest wall and a shallow pit in the eastern side of the room. There are two doors on the west wall, one of which you have just opened, and one door on the north wall.

Dagon enters into the room and, like his Aarakocra companion, will make a small circuit of the chamber, casting his dark gaze around to get a feel for the area. The half-orc hefts his greataxe onto his shoulder and rumbles to himself, but so far little stands out under his casual scrutiny. Knowing that other members of his team are more well-versed in careful inspection, the marauder will instead shuffle toward the eastern side of the room where he notices what appears to be a shallow pit of some kind. Dagon edges toward the shallow pit but does not get too close, peering around the area and sniffing aggressively to try and glean any information from his sensory awareness.

The half-orc snorts as the unexpected smell once again greets his nostrils and he whips his head in his companion's direction, his heavy dreadlocks whirling around his head with the motion.
"Pack mates!" He growls loudly, "Come, I have found something strange here." When they are near enough to the pit to see, Dagon will gesture toward the pair of rocks that have caught his attention.
"These two rocks here," The warrior jabs a meaty finger forward to specify them, "seem to be giving off heat, and I believe that they are the source of the molten metal smell that I have caught twice now. Do any of you have a guess as to what this may be? Should we inspect them closer, or leave them buried and forgotten?"

Humphry peers down at the rocks from the edge of the pit with a squinting inquisitive eye. The gnome makes a horrible gurgling noise from deep in his throat before hawking up a viscous glob of phlegm and spitting it at the rocks seeing how they sizzle.

The rocks apparently do not appreciate being covered in Humphry's oral liquids, because they grow wings and begin to fly towards you, chittering angrily in an ancient tongue.

Dagon roars in surprise, exclaiming in Giant something particularly explicit about a Storm Giant's particular reproductive organ, and he back peddles several steps. The half-orc marauder shifts his greataxe into a combat grip and plants his feet in an aggressive stance, and again he shouts his challenge at the strange winged stone creatures.

Kic will fly between Perry's legs and wild-shape into a Brown bear using his remaining movement to carry Perry over to the (two?) foes and if in melee range attack.

Perry having been defeated mentally, had little to offer the group since springing a trap and crushing his own leg. He was fortunate enough Kic was willing to carry him around, but felt like nothing more than dead weight at this point.
Even still, faced with a challenge and suddenly riding upon a bears back into battle, a scene worthy of songs, the monk was filling rather lackluster. Not wanting to be entirely useless, Perry would grab at his staff and swing at one of the rocks once in range.

“Worth a try”. Kic says shrugging.
Humphry attempts to slip through the gaps in the portcullis. Dex? 10
Even the miniscule gnome cannot fit through these narrow slats.

Among the rubble of broken slabs of stone Dagon spies a pair of rocks which seem to be emanating heat, and he again smells the scent of melting steel.
