(You can target them when they're latched on IIRC. Though in one campaign we fought some if you missed you had a chance to hit the person they were attached to)
(In post 967, when Noam was mentioning the missing persons, I should have included that, in hindsight, this might have been going on for months. The escalation in the recent weeks had someone look over older cases. Some of those cases will be "normal" accidents that happen all the time in the wilderness. But the uptick in the rate has officials suspecting something new and out of the ordinary is going on. Other groups have investigated, but no clues found so far.
When I said "general request", maybe that should have been "open request". Adventurers should be aware that this is going on, and to keep an eye open, while going about their normal routine. They don't want the townsfolk to panic about something that is still a rare problem.)

Reverie sighs slightly as she heard Jack's words, and then smiles. "The deities are helping out of the people, just in the unusual thought we have, or, at least, that's how I think. I just want to see if they have a chapel of Eldath. It has been a while for me to actually visit the chapel." Another pause, this time, with a hum in thought as she listens to Froskan's words and then to Jack and Trim's. "I suppose I have the same thought with Trimyrai..." Then she walks towards Trim and asks quietly. "Trimyrai, do you have any ranged weapon with you? If so, I would like to buy it from you instead of this... weaponry."

Trimyari: (to the party) "Ranged weapons? of course. as an expert archer, i pride myself on the skills at using ranged weapons. i have this magic longbow, its not for sale. i have a normal long bow, it was my trusty longbow I've had for many years before finding this magic one. i suppose i could part with it... I have this heavy crossbow, and i have this light crossbow. I'm not attached at all to the crossbows. And don't worry about buying, i'll let you have one, consider it a gift of friendship."

Reverie listens to Trim's explanation about his weapons and his skills after she asks him if there is any ranged weapon he carries. "Heavy crossbow sounds beautiful. I would like to buy—" Then she blinks her eyes as soon as she hears his last word. A friendship. That was a moment where she couldn't say a word in surprise. She just couldn't say anything but a small opened lips. "—It's wonderful! But—I mean—it is your weapon that you've been carrying all along." A moment as she tries to find a word to Trim. Her blue-green eyes blink again as she listens to Trimyrai's reply to Jack and everyone in the group. "You are not wrong, but I just... I can't accept it for free from such a good friend like you."Hopefully, that wouldn't make him feel bad or worse.

"What?" Reverie starts to confuse at the situation. She looks at Jack with her widened eyes for a moment, realizes what just happened. "Wait—" She blinks once again, her expression shows in a slightest of panic. "Wait, how about we make a deal? Not that I do not value our starting-friendship. It is very important, but I think I would feel better if I could pay you a price or anything that is equal to your heavy crossbow."
Then she pauses as soon as she received the heavy crossbow and bolts from Trim. Her eyes gaze down on her new weapon and then looks back at Trim, in a bit of apologetic way and still confusing. "Thank you, Trim. I owe you... Let me know if you need anything and I will pay them for you." And then she turns to look at Jack. "And thank you, Jack. I will buy you some foods and drinks."

A hum escapes from Reverie's closed lips as she nods at Jack. "I'll remember that. I will try not to die and I won't let anyone of our group die before me." She chuckles quietly. "And, yes, I agree. We need some healing potions."

The dwarf nods at Jack's "we'll think about it" comment. (It is dangerous, after all.) If you do decide to deal with it, he asks that you let him know the day before you head out. The dwarf would need some arrangements before embarking on a full day's round trip. (The dwarf would need to lead you to the location, and would want to be back in town by nightfall.)
Reverie asked about chapels in town. The dwarf doesn't visit the chapels (he says a short prayer to Moradin every time he blacksmiths), but is aware of a few. There is one to the south dedicated to Bane (god of tyranny, ambition), and one near the bay for Umberlee (goddess of the sea), but Reverie would rather avoid Evil gods.
There are two Good suggestions:
southwest is one for Lathander (god of birth and renewal; Af left your group to visit the temple in Nunkreet), and
in the well-to-do northern area is a temple for Eldath (goddess of peace).

Reverie finds herself parking her ears up as soon as she heard of Eldath’s temple. It has been a while for her to visit the temple of Eldath. ”I did not know they had a temple of Eldath. It surely has been long for me to visit her temple and give a prayer to her.”
