Froskan spends his time practicing new spells and playing with his fancy new wand. While practicing the ability to move earth and familiarizing himself with the cantrip, he uses the spell to excavate sections of dirt and form them into pillars, then using various spells to blast the pillars apart. Starting out he mostly focuses on his cold spells, rotating between ice knives, frozen chromatic orbs and snowball swarms. Over time, he starts mixing in other elements, trading in balls of fire or lightning to replace some of the frozen ones. After a particularly spectactular explosion (*obviously* a critical hit :P), he calls out in a deep voice, "There are some who call me....TIM!!!", then begins cackling.
(As they approach the dining hall through the snow)
Froskan grins and lets out a contented sigh. "Nice to see some real snow again. I always did like winter the best."
(Froskan's turn for combat)
Remembering what he had learned about trolls and the spectacular explosion during training, Froskan says, "It's not my favorite element, but I can manage some fire just fine." He makes a motion with his hands as if rolling something bewteen them, and a spot of fire appears between them, growing as he continues the motion until about 4 inches in diameter, then he stops the rolling motion and shoves his hands toward the troll, propelling the ball of fire towards the creature.

(If it fails the save it will stop attacking, and then walk until it reaches the south wall. After a minute, it will have satisfied both parts of the Suggestion, and the spell will be over. It can't get out to the west with the front gate locked, it won't go towards your group to the east, so it goes south until it is stopped by the compound wall.)

(It has been 2 days since round 1 was posted, so I will move things forward. I figure Reverie will move closer and use the heavy crossbow on the first round.)
Reverie crossbow Attack: 24 Damage: 13 Trim's archery tips pays off, as the bolt hits an artery in the Troll's neck.
Trim has a solid arrow hit for 7 piercing.
Isk casts Hex, and hits with an Eldritch Blast for 13 total damage.
Froskan says fire is not his favorite element, and then has terrible aim on his spell. (Wand use in practice is not the same as in combat.)
Jack makes a Suggestion. Troll WIS save: 10 It fails the save.
The Troll realizes that it got his for 33 damage this turn. Even though it will regenerate, maybe it should head south away from all this fighting...

The Troll moves 30' south (walking, so not double-moving). It is not fighting, as it was affected by Jack's Suggestion. It regenerated 10 hit points, so it has taken 23 damage so far in combat. It is currently out of sight (total cover). If you use most of your movement to move west, you can get past the admin building and that tree to get line of sight. If the tree is between you and the troll, it gets 1/2 cover (+2 to AC).
The party needs to decide what to do with the troll:
If you attack it now, then Jack's spell saved you from being attacked this round. You can position yourselves 35' away so the troll can't attack you on round 3.
In about 2 minutes, the Troll might return, with the Suggestion over. All damage will be regenerated, but you have time to prepare.
Maybe some of the WG guards in the south part of the compound will deal with the Troll, if you don't want to. The fight with the troll is over, but you only get a fraction of the XP.
(You can discuss if you like. If any of you attacks and hits, the spell will be broken, and you will be committed to option #1.) Entire party is up.

There are alarms going off at other places in the compound, and flashes of spell magic in the distance, out of your line of sight. With all the other distractions, it is not clear when more help will arrive.

Jack, were you trying to get the Troll to a certain position? For example, it Dissonant Whispers works, the Troll will move 30' south from its current location. But you could also hold your action, let it use half its movement, then cast the spell. It would then use its remaining half-movement back south, and end up in the same place it started.)

Trim's arrow is deflected off the Troll's hide.
Froskan's wand makes a funny noise. (Think of a car engine not turning over, on a cold winter's morning.) The fiery orb eventually emerges, but lands between the Troll's feet.
Jack prepares a drum beat for the Troll. WIS save vs. DC 14: 6 (5 psychic damage) As Jack is playing, there is a loud bang from the main gate, interrupting his spell drumming. The Troll is in some pain, but does not run away.
