A pixie wearing a hooded cloak lands on Reverie's (armored) shoulder. "Try to act like you don't know me," says Clarion, keeping her face concealed. "I think the same as the lady paladin. If Rufus was just paranoid, acting weak might work. But since he is a bully too, weakness is something he will take advantage of.
"When we saw those Redcaps follow after your group, I figured it would help to have plenty of witnesses to keep them from trying anything. We'll stay around your tent as long as we can, so you aren't disturbed while you are tending to your wounds.
"Messengers will inform Rufus that the shadow beast is slain. I don't know what he will try next, but hopefully it will take some time for him to decide what to do next."
(OOC: You can head to the tent, and try to get a Short Rest. Or you can visit Rufus. Or maybe you have something else in mind.)

Both the pixies and the redcaps stop Iskander. The shells are part of the village's trade. (Like visiting someone else's diamond mine, and helping yourself to what you find.)
If Isk still wants a shell piece, roll a Sleight of Hand check.

Reverie Forestgleam—Human Paladin Level 5 in Frontier City of Nunkreet Extremely busy and busy as ever recently, but I will trying to catch up as much as I can
The party makes it safely back to the tent. The redcaps march into the main hall, where (even from this distance) you can hear angry shouts from Rufus.
You keep an eye on your surroundings, as you tend to your wounds. There are quite a few pixies keeping busy around your tent (to watch over you). But as time passes, you notice that, one by one, they are sent on errands far away from your tent.
(You are able to get a Short Rest. Most of you are heavily wounded, so it might be easier to roll all your hit dice at this time, instead of one-by-one. Your choice.
Jack will do a Song of Rest (the drum beat is more inspiring than restful), so you get to add an additional +1d6 to your hit dice total.)
Rolling for Jack's hit dice: 6d8 + 1d6 + 18 (CON bonus) = 56 (Jack is at full health.)

Reverie frowns as she looks around the tent, realizing the pixies are going off to the errands. "My friends," she calls her friends in whisper, "I am guessing we might need to go see Rufus as soon as possible. But then, I am worrying what should we do when we get to see him."

(OOC1: Sorry about the delay on my end.) (OOC2: Almost forgot to update Reverie's equipment. Have fun with improved scimitar.)
During your rest, you notice it gets quieter outside the tent. One at a time, the pixies and other villagers are sent to work in the mines by the redcap thugs, now that the menace of The Angry is gone. By the end of the hour (shortly after Reverie has re-attuned with her altered scimitar), it ie eerily quiet outside.
Then you hear the trod of metal boots approaching your tent. A trio of Redcaps enter. The third one is twitching and squirming. (Reminds you of a child that has drunk too much water, then keeps asking when the wagon is going to stop at an outhouse.) After they are sure that no one else is present (except for them and you), the third redcap starts swelling and growing, until you are faced with Rufus the Fomorian. He has to squat to fit in the tent, but gives an ill-formed smile to your party.
"That's better... Well done for a bunch of "entertainers". I did not expect to see you again. But now that these village scum can work the mines again, I am free to give your group a proper greeting for trespassing into MY land."
The redcap near the tent entrance smacks the ground with his sickle. With that sound, more redcaps march into the tent. They have their weapons drawn, and look at the party with barely contained fury. The tent was crowded enough with Rufus' misshapen bulk, but now you have every redcap in the village surrounding you.

Isk summons his glaive and with a puff of purple smoke it appears in his hand. He spins it so the blade is in the ground and then he leans on it, like a farmer might lean on a pitchfork while taking a break. "A proper greeting of food and ale would be most welcome, Lord Rufus, as well as the paymentpromised for our services."
He taps his finger to his chin for a moment and says, "Untold riches, I believe that was the promised reward, was it not? Surely you are not here to renege." He focuses his eyes squarely and adds, "Surely, all of these gathered pixies are here, fiddling with their weapons, because they are guarding a horde of treasure, just behind them."
(I think you meant "redcaps" instead of "pixies", but Isk gets his point across. Unless you are deliberately referring to the redcaps as pixies?)
Isk can roll a check for Persuasion or Intimidation. If someone else roll-plays a speech in support of Isk, then the roll can be made with Advantage from a Help action.
(Rufus won't start groveling if you roll really well. This is just to let me know how he should react: with contempt, anger, or fear; overconfidence or caution.)
