(In case it comes in useful, Froskan, Iskander, and Reverie please make a Stealth roll. Reverie has her usual disadvantage. I'll use the rolls that Jack and Trim already made.)

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(OOC: I'm going to push the action, so we don't get stuck here.)
Froskan stealth: 22, Reverie stealth: 3 (redoing Reverie's roll, as her roll was 2d20)
The party enters the side cave, hugging the west wall. There are three cages, all of the same sea plants and bamboo construction. You can hear the sobbing from the cages, but cannot see inside them (bars closely set, dim lighting, 70' away).
The four Rutterkin were projecting their "crippling fear" into the cages. The top two are oblivious to the party, but the southern two noticed something and turn around.
There is a red chalk line on the floor, just east of the demons. There are words written in Abyssal, but none of you can understand it. (Reverie would have to be in direct contact for her helmet to translate it.)
Combat situation:
Initiative order: (1) Iskander and Froskan, (2) R1 and R2, (3) Jack, Reverie, and Trimyrai, (4) R3 and R4
This round, R1 and R2 are surprised (no actions or reactions) and unaware of the group (your attacks will have Advantage on them).
The entire party gets to act (post in any order), then R3 and R4 get to act. (The campaign page DM Public notes section is updated.)

OoC - the grid lines, the solids are 10 feet and the dashes are 5?
(Yup. So from from Isk's starting spot, R4 is 41' away, and R1 is 64' away)

Isk takes a deep breath and move 10 feet diagonally north west. He holds his glaive in one and and extends the other as tendrils of purple energy swirl around his forearm bfore lancing out at the nearest demon (R4). Eldritch Blast Attack: 16 Damage: 9
Isk takes a deep breath and move 10 feet diagonally north west.
(Northwest or northeast? Using Froskan as a shield, or being a shield for the sorcerer?
As a side note, the demon's hides are not much tougher than flesh. All attacks so far have easily hit.)

Iskander moves 10' east and 10' north, and blasts R4 for 9 force damage (R4 has taken 15 damage total).
Froskan hits R2, but forgot Reverie's comments about demons (post 1464). The ice orb is less effective, and does 5 damge.
Jack moves 20' east, 20' north. R1 WIS save: 2 The demon is stupid, and doesn't understand Jack's words, but it still suffers the sting of Jack's insults. (1 damage, disadvantage on its attack next round)

Reverie Forestgleam—Human Paladin Level 5 in Frontier City of Nunkreet Extremely busy and busy as ever recently, but I will trying to catch up as much as I can
(Sorry! The work has been caught me up so bad! D:)
(No worries. Real life always comes first, no matter how much the DM grumbles about it. D&D should be a relief, not add stress.)
(Reverie's move of 30' will not get her in melee range. What I will do is move her diagonally, like Jack did, and have her Ready an attack at the first demon within range.)
Reverie moves forward, to defend the long range fighters behind her. The R4 demon moves forward to attack her. Reverie slashes with her scimitar for 6 damage (21 total). The demon reaches its hand forward, and tries to bite her. Attack: 10 Damage: 17 (and misses)
The R3 demon moves forward, but is still outside melee range, so it Dashes.
Start of Round 2
Froskan and Iskander are up. Then the R1 and R2 demons get to act (no longer surprised).

Isk moves another 10 feet diagonally northeast, putting him at Reverie's back while keeping each of the demons within the reach of his whirling glaive. He strikes our at R4 with it. Attack: 8 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
Isk uses his full movement to get to the square diagonally SW of Reverie, and strikes down the R4 demon. It collapses into a pile of rotting flesh.
Froskan is up, then the R1 and R2 demons.

OoC - I should have asked earlier, but do you allow the diagonal movement to count as 5 feet? I was moving assuming so, since Isk's speed is halved by exhaustion.
"I have no intention to be close to them in the first place to need to retreat while you try to put them to sleep," Froskan says wryly.
