Raiik would like to consult the group in a huddle.
”Where do you folks stand on making... (whispers) *temporary* alliances? We’re couped down here, surrounded by already established factions, it would seem. Why not play them against one another? Or at least ally ourselves with one before clearing the lot out? Or are we going to be our own independant force of justice?” He says, getting excited at that last comment.
Azrael would join the huddle and whisper, as his voice was overly loud when not kept intentionally quiet. He seemed to speak more to Raiik than anyone, but he still addressed the group. If these were simply bugbears and goblins on their own I would hold no Ill will towards them, as they are not inherently evil beings. The vampires... and potential other abominations however .... We should crush them.... Annihilate them like the scourge they are, and flay them from existence, back into whatever hellscape or rotting hole they crawled out of. Beings like that have no right to exist. And as these creatures belong to one of the guilds that oppress the commonfolk above.. much like that cult from before.... I will show them the same mercy I showed that cultist woman.. but after we deal with the vampires if I have a preferential choice. Moving freely will aid us in learnign their numbers, paths, and make life easier for us as a whole.he said, alluding to the cultist he had fried just outside the Asmodean windmill.
But first thing is first.... MY opinion is we take out these vampires while we have the advantage, and they don't know we are coming, nor are we prepared for them.. but if we do.. I have already used my strongest spells... with that in mind.. should we rest a bit so I can... better prepare my arsenal for such foes?
(How long would it take to recover my 2, 3rd tier spell slots?)
An uncharacteristic smile flared across OU812’s faceplate at Azrael’s mention of battling the vampires. “Agree with proposed tactics. Set the battle rhythm ourselves before the enemy selects it. Fighting in our own terms is always advantageous.”
This is the direction of where the Xanathar guild believes the Undertakers are hiding out. If you agree to let the bugbear live, and bugbears or goblins you encounter for the rest of this level will be "friendly" and not "hostile" towards you. (Think WoW =P) It would take a full day of rest to recover your spells, but there's no problem with you going back up to the Portal to rest and come back down to continue.
Also, Dani, are you still slaying the sleeping goblins?
“Alliances are unnecessary, temporary or not.” Alessandra finally speaks up, her arms crossed in front of her chest. “I agree with the dragon: let’s get rid of these so-called vampires. The bugbears and goblins will let us through with no issues, besides, they are well aware of what we can do.” She alludes to the bodies in the room they’re in, snoozing away or dead.
“We know what we’re up against for the most part. If there are any objections, please do speak up now, if not let us head out.”

Ok, so here's the setup. You guys do whatever you want to do at the Bugbear watchpost. As you head back to the "main room" indicated on the map heading north where I stopped making dots, you can see AHEAD that the north path splits - there's a room up ahead on the right, and that FURTHER ahead, the path splits left and right. Choose your path.
Raiik nods. "Being our own force of justice seems wise- and cutting the snake off at the head so to speak will reduce casualties- give these underlings a second chance."
He'll bust down the door on that small room on the right before headingggggg left at the T.
Raiik is now reserving no enthusiasm as he's realised that it seems whatever is down here has nothing to fear if they are operating in the realm of good. His master Rhee's teachings gave him an understanding that most individuals have a choice on their actions. Even if that is simply 'following orders', the strongest willed creatures will hesitate and are worth saving. The weakest follow with no hesitation and these creatures, along with their masters, are worthy of purge.
Raiik has already bust down the door to the room above, so let's explore that first.
In this room is:
Sword Stand. An unadorned wooden armor stand rests in the middle of the room, with a faintly glowing long sword stabbed into it. At the base of the stand lie the skeletal remains of a hand, amid stains of dried blood.
Distant Voices. Echoes of distant voices occasionally fill the room, emanating from 10-inch-long, 5-inch wide vents in the ceiling.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“Huh. Yeah, good. This seems positive.” Raiik says bluntly before inspecting the sword. He puts his hands behind his back and bends over at the waist, looking at it closley. Arcana: 15
*Aggressive bear noises directed at the bugbear*
Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 12 (8W-4L)- - Coliseum of Conquest: Master of Faerie Fire. Just don't ask her to spell it.

Lythril gives the bear an affectionate hug.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"

Dani gave a look of disgust "Giant flying brains with tentacles and beaks. Hideous creatures."
Indicated in blue, here is the area of Level One that you've explored so far. Where would you guys like to go now?

Danitriel frowned "The former would probably be wisest, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe a series of surgical strikes?"
Bearianne nods her head in approval. To which plan, your not quite sure.

Ok! Unless no one objects, all of you are heading to see what these Undertakers are all about?

As they enter the common center room, OU812 stands in the center of the room, pointing west down the hallway with all the little insets, and grunts.

The sword is definitely magical. It would require inquisitive spells to learn anything more.
