"Dammit man, or I mean... well, whatever... Watch what you're doing with that thing!" Evrik shouts at Biggs as the dagger pierces his arm. "And that was more of a snap I'd say, not really a boom there was it mate?" he laughs as he brushes off weak effect of the attempt on the drow. (-7HP)
"Let me show you how it's done good sir." And with that, Evrik continues into the room, targets the Elite warrior and adds, "Your darkness holds no sway over me filth!" Evrik's grip tightens around Myke as he unsheaths Belfast and in an inspired motion he first swings the hammer, then the blade unleashing his pent up anger against the foe before him.

As you catch your breath, you wonder why do the Drow have a presence on this level? What are their intentions? What was T'rissa up to? Why are spiders exploding from people's bodies? Perhaps the answers are still further below. You can hear a massive river, the river Sargauth, roaring through the level and through the next. Your journey further deeper away from the dwarven ruins and away from the Drow lead you to..
LEVEL FOUR: THE TWISTED CAVERNS
Go ahead and level up!
1. THE FUNGAL FOREST
Mossy paths run between patches of (mushroom?) and a forest of towering (mushroom?) whose caps scrape the 40-foot-high ceiling. Throughout the cavern are small clearings where the fungi have been torn out of the mossy ground.
PARTY FYI: If you are within 10 feet of L:ythril you will get +2 on saves AND AND Resistance to Spell Damage.
Lythril is enchanted with the new environment. "This is like out of a bardic story. My nuncle told me about special mushrooms that had magical effects. I wonder if these are like that too?"

"I do apologize, Mister Dwarf. I am far more used to using Chip and Bosco here than I am any other weapon."Mr. Biggs said while looking and rotating the dagger in hand. He turned next to see the battle won and sighed in relief. The dagger gets promptly put away, Wedge once more perches on Grianna, and the bugbear gets to work rolling the drow bodies for anything precious should noone else do it. In the case of weaponry, he bundles it up and stash it away on the level to be sold later.
Should Evrik decide not to destroy or secret away T'ressa's spellbook, Mr. Biggs asks for it on their way down to the next level. "If you do not mind, that is. At the very least I would like the chance to make some good come out of her misuse of the arcane arts."
"Well, hopefully we're in luck and some Myconid fellows are about and willing to give directions."Mr. Biggs examines their new surroundings. He tries not to get too close to any of the bigger shroom stalks in the process. Wedge flutters on to join Biggs and bops him in the head whenever a dumb idea gets muttered by the bugbear.
Yes, they did. In a nutshell, T'rissa was chosen by her family to find a way to take over these levels, find a new way to inbreed humans and spiders, and eventually take over Skullport. Obviously, she was no match for the nine of you, lol - but she is not alone, there are more of her lieutenants around. That is what her button revealed to you. The Drow are not easily dissuaded, however.
This first cavern is filled with several large, bare humanoid footprints, which lead back and forth from AREA 1 and AREA 2.
You can't tell what these mushrooms are, or what would happen if you eat them. Survival DC12 would, though.

Evrik's eyes light up. He hears Biggs about the book but is not really focusing on the discussion "Um, yeah, maybe, in a minute... I um..." A tear comes to his eye as he remembers the fallen one. The small one who he should have protected. Evrik was distraught, but perhaps... perhaps in some way if this were not the home of Stool, they could still feel his soul, and somehow get the message to his lineage using the mycelium that ties them together. The light found a crack and crept into his heart. The promise, perhaps could be fulfilled. He said a small prayer, asking for guidance hoping he could interact. (Survival: 5)
Evrik approached a cluster of the mushrooms with the joy of Stool in his heart and the story of the brave myconid standing strong against the Drow, falling in a fight that few escaped. Evrik knelt, bowed his head reverently a began to offer these thoughts to the fungi around him. He began to pray and he called on Marthammor Duin's strength and love of nature, on Mya for her love of family, Sharindlar for her gifts of life. And most of all, his one above all, the Revered Mother, Berronar Truesilver for her love of truth and home. Evrik's warm heart reached out to the fungi and he begged, "Please, see his soul home. Raise his memory among his strain. Grant stool the homecoming and everlasting life deserved of a warrior."

Mushrooms in this area:
Trillimac: A trillimac is a mushroom that grows to a height of 4 to 5 feet and has a broad, gray-green cap with a light gray stalk. The cap’s leathery surface can be cut and cleaned for use in making maps, hats, and scrolls; its surface takes on dyes and inks especially well. The stalk can be cleaned, soaked in water for an hour, then dried to make a palatable food akin to bread. Each trillimac stalk provides about 5 pounds of food.
Zurkwood: A zurkhwood is a mushroom that can grow up to 40 feet high. Its large, grain-like spores are edible (one specimen provides 5 pounds of food), but the fungus is more important for its hard and woody stalk. Zurkhwood is one of the few sources of timber in the Underdark; it is used to make furniture, containers, bridges, and rafts, among other things. Skilled crafters can use stains, sanding, and polishing to bring out different patterns in a zurkhwood stalk.
Evrik seems to be having a tender moment among the fungus. Somewhere, someplace, someone is at peace, now.
