After waking Ducolis, the White Wolf heads to the window to see if he can spot anything.
Perception: 9
"I'm not sure," he says back to Ducolis. "But I think there's something... something terrible in the stables." He shivers, then tries to think. "Those other two who were with us - not the dwarves - but the others... They didn't come into the inn. Do you think they're out there?"
Briar grabs her pack projecting her thoughts to Hanzo, 'would of, should of, could of... she sighs... I don't know about you but I am out of here right this minute, you can come along if you like but no one is going to believe either of us. We killed his snake and he killed our ox... I guess all is fair in love and war.'
Not waiting for Hanzo, he can catch up if he likes the little Hedge Witch starts walking away from Inn before the crowd gathers...
"You mean the girl and the airman? I thought I offered them a room? But if they did camp outside we shiuld check it out. Them being hurt could cause us problems."Ducolis says now thinking more clearly and ready to go downstairs.
Hanzo will think back to Briar “You’re right they won’t believe we didn’t kill the ox best to move along now.” Hanzo turns and runs back to Briar and begins to collect his things, once done he’ll chase after her
When you look out of the window, you notice that the magical image of the night sky fades as you think of the stables, and a new image appears revealing a top down view of the stable and Briar walking away.
The White Wolf frowns at the image. "I see one of them, I think... but I'm not sure we should trust this window."
More decisive now than he has been, the Wolf dashes around the edge of his bed and pulls together his pack. He shoves the book of Elvish fairy tales in along with the rest of his things, straightens his cloak, straps the pack to his back, then hurries back to Ducolis. "Agreed. Let's go."
When Ducolis and White Wolf reach the stable area, Briar is Gone, and Hanzo is frantically packing to follow her. Terrance is processing the horrifying scene in the stable, the exit of Briar, and the fact that there is no head for him to bash in with his hammer.
Terrance turns from the gruesome sight, "Ho Genasi, what's happened here? Where is the evil I sensed?" He sees the bag Hanzo is packing "Something roams the night my crystalline friend, leaving now would be ill advised."
He will also turn to The White Wolf and say "Great destruction has been delivered in the stables, put your skills to use and see if you can determine the nature of the beast." (He's assumed the wolf to be some kind of tracker from the wolf pelt.)

Zaroc, seeing the confusion, and the bloody dagger still on the ground, uses his wild shape once again. He slowly begins to hunch forward, his clothes becoming a smooth fur covered flesh, his mouth and jaws grow wider, and his lips and cheeks swell and droop. In a few short seconds, where the dwarf once stood, a dark brown mastiff now stands ready to track and hunt down the individual who executed this heinous attack. The mastiff quickly approaches the dagger, sniffing the handle in an attempt to catch a scent to track.
Terrance will call to Ducolis, Hanzo and The White Wolf "Zaroc's caught the scent of the creature, let's take the fight to the beast and clear the road." He then takes off after Zaroc.
As you are almost completely past the graveyard, confused, mind full of everything that has happened in the past 24 hours, you are abruptly and suddenly grabbed from behind and your mouth covered with a scaly hand. As your abductor pulls you off the road towards the graveyard, he whispers in a familiar voice, "I happened to be very fond of that cobra... It seems I have two hawthorns to punish now."
Briar uses her awakened mindto project her thoughts to her abductor, the gag (hand) pretty much useless to shut her up, 'took you long enough... here I thought Yuan-Ti had a bit more intelligence, live and learn I guess! Like I don't know about the whole Yuan-Ti obsession with tit for tat you doltish feckless fool!!! You escaped me before, ran like a little Gnomish girl! I lost you back in the alley, but I figured killing your little worm would bring back to me for revenge, tit for tat right, what a shocker? How utterly and sadly predictable... Now, I am going to find out what you know about Bramble one way or the other. I can only hope your idea of punishment shows a bit more creativity and flair than butchering an ox and dropping the blade my feet or I am going really be disappointed!'
He hisses back verbally, "Well well, aren't you feisty... Perhaps you will be a more suitable apprentice than your weak minded fool of a sister. I will be sure not to... permanently injure you."
Hanzo turns to the dwarf "I need to get to my friend, I'm sorry." And he runs after Briar (idk how far i would be because i said earlier i left as soon as my stuff was packed)

Terrance bursts through the door of the inn brandishing his warhammer and shouting "Where is it? Whatever it is? Let me at it!"
Hearing Hanzo's shout he reiterates to Briar "Stay put Briar we'll handle this" and rushes towards Hanzo's voice in the stable.

@Terrance
You see the bloody mess, and you notice stirring over your shoulder as Briar gathers her things and begins to quickly move away from the scene.
*Hanzo and Terrance both now have blood on their feet.
@The White Wolf

With a sniff of the handle, followed by a deep howl, the mastiff takes off running, hot on the trail of the killer.
@Briar
As you walk alone down the road leading out of the city, you pass a dark, demented, dilapidated, grave yard.
Make a perception check
