Hanzo... I do know where the old man is, he gave me a location to meet him at. I will take you with me, and after we speak with him I’d like to continue working together to go beyond. It may be too dangerous to go alone, and I know how to sail a ship which seems important to cross over.”
Briar smiles up at Hanzo, 'thank you... I cannot ask for more than that, you are most kind. I am just hopeful of finding some sort of clue regarding my sister. Let us continue on then we have a long way to travel and hope the old man has answers for both of us.' As they continue to walk Briar takes out herViol and begins to play.
Terrance follows after the white wolf coated elf who over took him from the tavern door. He is impressed by the tracking ability of the elf following the creatures long after Terrance lost sight of them. "Oy you white wolf cloaked fella, whats your name? And I don't suppose you have any skill at turning rats into dwarves because Zaroc seems to have got himself in a pickle here?". Terrance's little dwarf legs are working double time to keep up with the fur cloaked fellow so he is a little out of breath.
"you can call me Ducolis"he says when Terrance calls out to follow him."And this is a one time thing only, I can not see myself around you for very long." Ducolis is however dissapointed to have gotten back the money. "And about the money, I have more than enough."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The White Wolf throws a few glances around, ignoring Ducolis and trying to make sure they're not being overheard, at least by guards.
Then he puts a finger to his lips and whispers. "Quietly now, unless you want your friend to be caught." He gives Terrance a wry smile from beneath his hood. "I am called The White Wolf. I see you have spotted why."
He looks around again. "I don't know if I can help your friend, but I will try." He offers his hand and red-thread-bound wrists, which sadly Terrance doesn't recognize. "I will do all I can."
Perception: 14 (for when and if it's safe to continue following the trail, or if they should stop)
Hanzo nods at Briar and increases his walking speed in the direction of the meeting spot. Hanzo will keep walking until 1. It’s dark 2. They bump into something worth stopping for 3. Something stops them 4. Briar needs to stop for something. Other than that he’s walking.
Briar does her best to keep pace with the barbarian, having no need to stop along the way other than a short rest or a bite to eat, doesn't have much in the way of funds for shopping or other extravagances, etc. so sticks to the task of traveling to the meeting place.
Caught by surprise Briar turns about suddenly to see where the voice is coming from and who is speaking to her... or if not her, maybe someone talking to someone else??? So also looks at Hanzo...
Stepping out of the shadows steps a tall man in a dark green robe with a wicked looking dagger glowing green, seemingly attached to his hip by magic rather than a sheath or strap. he wears no hood, hair slicked back, shaved high on the sides, his skin a light shade of green with darker green raised blemishes. as he approaches Briar and Hanzo, it is clear his attention is fixed on Briar.
"Dont act so surprised my dear... Surely you did not think you could simply stroll around town unnoticed after you betrayed your new family. Perhaps you are not as capable an apprentice as i thought. Why, even your betrayal was unsuccessful. The family has righted your wrongdoing, now all that remains is your... Discipline."
“Briar who is this man? Is he a family member of yours? What betrayal is he talking about?” Hanzo is confused and takes a slightly more defensive stance hand rested on his blades pommel the other hand rest on one of the hand axes hanging from his belt. He takes one step forward so he can place his body between the two of them in necessary.
Briar looks at the tall figure at first relieved thinking the voice might have been her pesty ex-boyfriend, Sneaky Pete but this rather ominous person confuses the Hedge Witch as she looks him over closely... trying her best to place him as he is not all familiar to her! As her mind struggles for clarity, she thinks looking at him, that someone like would be hard for her to forget!
Her head tilts to the side, confused and addresses the stranger, "excuse me... do we know each other? Forgive me as for the life of me I cannot recall ever meeting you before. Who are you then and what do you mean my new family, righting my wrong? What wrong? Apprentice... I am no one's apprentice, I serve Yggdrasil and the Unseen Sanctuary who gave me permission to leave the sanctuary to look for my lost sister?"
Briar turns to Hanzo... a very confused and bewildered look on her face...
Stand aside genie boy, this does not concern you. Bramble please dont force me to make a mess of this. Come quietly and pay for your sins. Nobody else needs to get hurt because of you.
Hanzo recalls that Briar told him she has a twin sister... turns to the man approaching them “I’m sorry but I think you are mistaken, she is not the one you’re looking for.”
Hanzo turns to Briar “I think this man believes you to be your sister.”
Briar looks Hanzo and nods and then at the stranger growing excited meeting someone that know her sister... "I am Prudence Hawthorn... most people call me Briar. I have twin-sister named Willow Hawthorn... Bramble! You think that I am Bramble... have you seen her then recently, where? I have been looking for her everywhere!"
"Wait!" Briar cries out rushing off to the follow the stranger, "please tell me at least where you last saw my sister... you are not looking to hurt her are you? Please stop and talk for a moment..."
Hanzo follows after Briar, this man seemed dangerous and Briar appeared to be unarmed, he couldn’t live with himself if she was hurt and he could’ve done something about it.

(( Actually, nevermind this. The others should catch up with him first. ))

A soft, dark, voice behind you interrupts your walk.
"I see you have made a new friend. I wonder... how long before you betray him as well?"

With a fling of his robe, he swiftly turns and walks towards the nearest alleyway.
