Briar slowly stands to be sure to keep her empty hands in front of her where the guards she sees them and knows she is unarmed and bows respectfully, "I am called Briar m'lord if it pleases you," introducing herself before her gaze falls to the figure of her attacker on the ground unconscious, pointing to him and looking back to the leader of the guards, "that man there if he be a man, killed an ox back at the inn owned by that gentlemen there with you. I saw it all and when I started to cry out for help he grabbed me and carried me off here to do only the gawds know what to me. But these kindly men came to my rescue. There was a terrible battle... all I could do was stand helpless and watch in horror until they overpowered him, bound him where he lay now to await the arrival of the proper authorities, that being yourself m'lord."
"Wait! I know these people! Well, not all of them. Never seen the the one they've tied up there, and i dont recognize crystal head. But the rest of these visited my inn tonight!", he explains.
The White Wolf stiffens at the guard's words, but remains bent over his patient, adjusting (fidgeting) with the bandages in the vain hope the guard is referring to someone else.
"Yea, Yea, you bandaged up the guards in the market today! Its all the barracks talked about all evening. Even the Yarl has asked about you!", he declares excitedly.
*Guard A*
"The market eh? Seems like you find a lot of trouble... Or trouble finds you...", he ponders. "Where is it you all are traveling? Seem like a rather strange group."
The White Wolf relaxes slightly at this, though he doesn't like the sound of the Yarl asking about him. Weighing the odds, he 'finishes' with his patient, then stands up to face the guards.
He steps forward, bows his head, and crosses his wrists, offering the symbol of his god. "I was glad to be of help," he says softly. "As I am here. Though this man attacked one of our companions, he has been wounded. I have steadied him for now, but he will need more extended attention to heal properly." He hesitates, then bows his head to the first guard. "I seek only to help those in need."
"Well then, I suppose we will take it from here. Thank you for your help. All of you. But especially you.", he looks around at everyone before looking at The White Wolf and extending his open hand gesturing for a handshake.
"Yes, I am travelling with 2 dwarves. I suspect them to be still asleep in your inn. I am here because this gentleman (the white wolf) was woken up by something and I was in the same room as him."
Briar uses her awakened mind to project her thoughts to Hanzo, 'I am not sure but so far so good, the guards appear to believe our mysterious stranger did, in fact, slay the innkeeper's ox but the stranger knows about the robe the old man lost, I doubt if he has it but it possible but I believe he at least knows something. Could you please when you an opportunity and time seems right before they take him away to lock him up could you be sure to ask the guardswhere they will be taking him exactly, where someone like him would be locked up and how long do they think he might be held for his crime? We may need to come back to find our mysterious stranger later, about the robe so it would be helpful to know where he is taken and when he might be released so we know where to go to wait for him if we feel the need to later. Thank you, I would ask but I think questions like that would be better received by the guards coming from a fellow warrior, a fellow peer... Also when I speak aloud following this, to you, don't respond to me... just nod your head and let it go. Thanks.'
The Hedge Witch standing up next to the taller Hanzo looking small and frail by comparison rubs her bruised bandaged forehead which she dressed with bandages just before the guards showed up. Looking directly up (not anyone else) at Hanzo, Briar speaks to just him with her voice, "I TOLD YOU..." loudly at first then quickly trails off lowering her speaking voice as not to be overhead that would require someone eavesdropping to overhear adding, "I don't know, I don't remember, he hit me pretty hard," rubbing her injured head, "something about the ox was just being the start, something about being hired, the family, someone jealous about being too business savvy, too successful, too respected, influential and too arrogant for their own good... it's all kind of hazy now but the attacker definitely made it clear he killed the ox in revenge for something, but that's all I can recall."
Briar sits back down not talking to Hanzo anymore and just rubs her head...
"Well then, I suppose you will be heading back to the inn to fetch them? Possibly get more sleep? Why, the Light Giver has not yet even began to wake from her slumber. And clearly it is much too dangerous to continue your journey until there is adequate light.", he says suspiciously.
*Guard B* @Briar
"Are you sure you are alright miss? Do you need further medical attention?", he inquires.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zaroc sniffs the air and then begins to growl loudly. The hair on the back of his neck raise and the growl changes to a deep bark. He faces the entrance of the cemetery and continues barking loudly
Hanzo did as Briar asked and just nodded along as she spoke. Once Hanzo sees the dog barking he takes that as an opportunity to ask what Briar wanted to know. (To any guard) “Excuse me sir but where will you be taking this man? And how long will he be locked up for his crimes? I’d just like to make sure he gets what he deserves, he’s an awful man that should never see the light of day again..”
Zaroc runs toward the man on the ground as they turn the corner and growls at the tied man on the ground. He barks loudly multiple times
*Lead Guard*
"What the hell?", he says drawing a sword. "Who are all of you? What's happened here?"
*Guard B*
"Well, go on, you heard the man, out with some information or you are all under arrest!"

Lead Guard (Guard A)
"Zis true?", he says looking around at the rest of the group.
“It is true, they all stayed at your inn. I couldn’t just stand by and allow this man to harm a lady so I took action...”
*Guard C*
"Hey I know you!", He says as he points to The White Wolf.
Terrance will remain hidden for now and see how things play out.

"You there!", he shouts to Ducolis. "Were you not traveling with some dwarves?"
"Yes, I am travelling with 2 dwarves. I suspect them to be still asleep in your inn. I am here because this gentleman (the white wolf) was woken up by something and I was in the same room as him."
