Hey everyone! Just rolling for stats at the moment. I have an idea or two PC wise that I would love to explore, but lets see what the dice have to say first. I'll get a character up ASAP.
Backstory: Lorfras's parents discovered him abandoned on their doorstep as an infant and raised him as their own son. During his 11th year, they told him for the first time that he was adopted. They gave to him an amulet — a symbol of Kelemvor — which they found with him in the basket. Kelemvor is the god Lorfras's adopted parents (and especially his father's family) worships. After being given the amulet, Lorfras experienced more changes during his adolescent years than most. He developed abilities and physically changed into the man he has become: pale and magical. He also became obsessed with Kelemvor and has decided Kelemvor is his biological father. He left home to find a way into the Shadowfell to physically be with Kelemvor. He did find his way to the Shadowfell, to the Fugue Plane, and attempted to enter the City of Judgement. Because he was still living, however, Lorfras was unable to enter Kelemvor's city. So, he has since been in the Shadowfell, trying to work out a way to be able to be with his father.
This is his original backstory. I'll be glad to shape it to fit this new world with your help.
Special item: The amulet Lorfras's parents found in the basket with him has a magical bond with Lorfras. He grew up as a normal human until he received it during his 11th year. Having it around his neck has changed him into the man he has become, and it is continuing to have a profound affect on him.
Backstory: Artemis was always something of a renegade, an outsider and loner unafraid to chance the unpredictable wilderness rather than subject himself to the structure of society. His parents had abandoned him and several elder siblings in a desperate flight for refuge from the tumult of the times, but they were now presumed dead and the siblings had all gone in separate directions. Artemis could hardly be kept indoors; he lived for the feel of soil or tree bark against his bare feet and hands, and from the time he was very small he displayed a natural aptitude for archery. It was not long until the Archfey learned of his gifts, and he was quickly spirited away to Moonshade Isle to be molded and trained to suit the Archfey's needs. Surprisingly, Artemis took to his education eagerly; the Archfey recognizing his skills and cultivating them rather than trying to reshape who he was at his core, though even their masterful techniques could not entirely quell the independent and wild streak that seemed an indelible part of Artemis' soul. They honed his skills at archery, with the swift and oft-underestimated hand crossbow in particular, and taught him adaptability, fortitude and resilience in the face of adversity. The wood elf was a devoted and loyal student of the Archfey, despite his chaotic nature, and when he was deemed ready to begin the mission he had been groomed to undertake Artemis readily answered the call.
Special Item: Artemis' hand crossbow, a gift from his instructors, was crafted to be particularly suited for combat as opposed to any clandestine applications. Where many traditionally utilized the weapon as a stealthy means of ambushing, Artemis had been trained to fire and reload the weapon almost without thought and with incredible precision, and thus his weapon reflected this usage. It was slightly larger and more solidly constructed than most other weapons of it's type; a crossbow as durable as it's owner and capable of firing bolt after bolt without showing signs of wear or fatigue. It was carved from the beautifully burled trees that were particularly cherished by the more naturally-inclined wood elves of the East, but in keeping with it's owner's rustic nature, the hand crossbow was not ornately decorated nor was it ostentatious in any way. It was a weapon for battle, and it's sleek beauty could be found in it's sturdiness of construction and ingenuity of design.
Interested, but I won't be able to post an application until this evening (US CST). If you already have a roster by the, no worries.

Calinar was born from the love of an elf-maid and a mighty human barbarian of the tribe of Culainn. Born with the mark of Eachthighern, it was known that he would be summoned at the earliest age possible for special training with the Archfey. He ran with his father's people across the Blight, hunting monsters and learning the ways of the land and of battle, until he was exchanged for another babe under the shadowlight of the new moon. His father and mother have no memory of Calinar, having fully embraced the deception that the changeling child placed with them is their actual son. The half-elf boy, however, has grown into a man under the strict tutelage of the Archfey and is ready to prove his worth to them.
Special Item: Shield with the crest of a tapestry with the moon in its five phases, with the moonlight weaving itself to seem like the moons are generating the tapestry
