Calinar picks himself back up off the deck, a bit woozy from all the damage and poison and magic. Shaking his head, he sees the dragonborn up close attacking Artemis, scoops his rapier up off the deck, and attacks! He bellows up to Kyra, "Are you coming or not??"

Hearing the wyvern fall, Gilnur pauses and checks behind him. It's appears the tide has turned for the group with a dead dragonborn at Artemis' feet and two more screaming as they plummet to their deaths, as well as the appearance of a number of giant owls. He immediately turns back and runs up next to Calinar. "I think we can turn this fight around...I hate running anyways."He calls upon his healing magic again for the paladin (Healing Word5). "Go get 'em, Calgon!" He grits his teeth, looks at Kyra's foe, and bangs on his shield once more
Seeing the sudden shift in momentum, Artemis quickly checks his forward advance. He grins as Calinar dispatches the Dragonborn nearest to them with lethal precision, and the wood elf winks brightly at the Paladin.
"Well struck! It seems like we have a bit more fight in us yet after all."
Turning to see the Dragonborn engaged in combat with Kyra, the archer brings his crossbow up. "Lets see how much fight they have left in them..." Artemis takes another deep, steady breath as he waits for his Half-Orc companion to be safely clear of his shot, and when the target of the Dragonborn's vital midsection becomes available, the archer fires twice in rapid succession.
Seeing the battle swinging back the other direction, Desarian turns around as well, heading back towards the battle. He sees the captain barely hanging onto the wheel still, and knowing they need the man to help them get to their destination, he calls, "Hang in there!", casting Healing Word (Second level spell slot) to heal the captain for 10.
The owls continue trying to drag the remaining dragonborn off of the ship (I'm assuming they keep trying to follow what I said until it's done or they die/disappear. If needed, desarian just reiterates the command).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
18 and 17 and 12
1 more roll at disadvantage for him, because he has 4 owls swarming him. 13
The first dragonborn manages to fight off the first attempt, while the other owls grab the other 2 drqgonborn without insident and flying them overboard. The last 4 owls swarm the dragonborn and as a group manage to grab him and toss him off the boat.
With the rest of the dragonborn seemingly gone, the gnome captain is able to get the other sailors to grab the wheel and pull it up. He comes running over to you, eyebrows and beard singed from the firebreath.
"This airship is going down kids!" He says. "Get what gear you need and get to the lifeboat. As soon as this thing touches down in that ocean its gonna sink."
He turns around and starts calling out orders. The remaining sailors stop fighting fires and trying to save the ship. Instead they grab some supplies and toss them into the lifeboats. All of you do the same, getting your gear, and getting to the boat.
As you climb in, the captain climbs in after you. Pressing a red gem on the console, the lifeboat lifts off gently from the deck. It has an uneasy warble to it as you shift your weight around in it, like it's in the water. "Careful. The gem that powers this flight is limited."
As the lifeboat lifts off the deck, you can see how close you are to land and water now. "Had you not driven off those attackers, we could not have bought this much time. You saved a lot of lives today. Hopefully it will not hurt the mission to greatly."
The lifeboat slowly shifts downward in the sky, and floats down towards the coast to thr north. As the light hits the blight, you can see the misty shadow rolling and undulating. Anything within the most is completely obscured and it has a dark ominous feeling about it.
It takes about 10 minutes for you all to land in the sea, and within eyesight of the mist within the Blight. "Well kids... good luck. I best be off to help my crew."
You look up behind you and you can see 2 other lifeboats descending from the sky. Looking off in the distance to the south, you can see a trail of smoke still bubbling out from the ocean.
"Thanks for the lift, captain," Gilnur say as he gathers his belongings from the skiff. "Sorry we couldn't bring it down in one piece." He scratches his head as he looks off towards the smoking wreckage. "Is that a common occurance in your line of work?"
(are we being dropped off on land? Or is one of the other boats coming for the captain? It sounded like the boat landed at sea and he was kicking us out into the water....)

Ooc: sorry about that. He got you to land. Basically on the shore.
The captain shakes his head sadly. "Not frequently, but still to often for my liking. But a ship is a ship... the people are what make it a home. You saved my people, so thank you for that. Heroes already I see."
Digging through her belongings, Kyra pulls on her clothing. As she does so thr wraps from the gloves unwind back into her gloves. "That is pretty neat!" She says, watching it happen. "Well... I guess we best be off?" She says looking to thr group.
Not waiting for the rest of the party, she walks over to the nearest area of some natural protection (rocks, trees, etc.) And begins setting up camp. "I am beat... I did not sleep well, and I am feeling a but banged up from those dragon people. Let's rest for the evening, and then we can head out?"

"When we return, Captain, we will hunt down these dragon-blooded pirates and they will answer for this. Long days and pleasant nights to you, sir."Calinar salutes the captain and slings his pack over his shoulder and trudges through the sand towards the barbarian's camp.
"Is anyone still bleeding? The blessing of the Archfey is still upon me, and I can heal some more wounds so you can rest more easily."

Kyra looks over her wounds. "I am a bit. I would prefer not to scar over, but it is kind of a badge of honor. So either way." She says stretching onto her bed roll.
OOC: You are in a desert like terrain. It is a blighted wasteland much like the Sahara. It is late afternoon, as you all did not fo to bed until the early morning. The mist is about 600 yards.
Artemis bids the captain farewell with a solid clap on the shoulder and a silent but intent look of thanks, the wood elf not being much for sentimentality or small talk. He nimbly hops from the lifeboat and walks around on the sand for a moment, smiling enigmatically at the feel of it shifting beneath his boots. The elf obviously delights in the small, subtle pleasures given by the natural world. His smile fades however as his gaze roams across the Mist, and his emerald green eyes take on a steely resolve. Artemis continues to stare into the Mist for a long moment, his face expressionless and his posture rigid, but as Kyra begins to form the group's camp and the others begin to take shelter there, the archer breaks from his reverie and joins his companions.
In response to Calinar's question about wounds, Artemis replies "I took a few slashes from our cold-blooded adversaries up there, but nothing worth taxing yourself further over brother. I believe it is time for us to rest and re-gather our strength, for our trials have just begun. I will gladly stand the first watch as I require fewer hours of rest in order to regain my strength."
"It would probably be best to be well-rested when we enter the mist," Desarian says, watching with interest as the strange wood armor melts and runs back up his body and down his arm to form into a staff again. He picks some Goodberrys from where they hang from the crook of the staff, unsure of where they went when the staff changed to armor, and hands them out to the rest of the party. "Eat these, they'll help sustain us."
Kyra looks at the berry skeptically. "This little thing is going to sustain..." she says as she pops it into her mouth. "Oh..." she says as it fills her belly and makes her feel full. "That's impressive.

Kyra attacks again throwing herself at the dragonborn in front of her, lost in the thrill of the fight.
Kyra slams her fists into the dragonborn, and brings a knee up as well, but the last strike is blocked.

OOC: correct Saute.
Cal brings his rapier forward and stabs the dragonborn in the arm joint, severing major arteries. It drops to the ground no longer moving.
The bell rolls at the dragonborn facing off with Kyra. 8. The dragonborns ears and eyes start bleeding from the sound, but is still standing.
