If you make a bluff, you must roll a Deception check opposed by your opponents Insight.
When you try to cheat, roll a Sleight of Hand check opposed by your opponents Passive Perception (10 + WIS + Proficiency bonus if you are proficient in Perception)
Lumin thanks the Innkeeper, steps away, and turns up the left corner of his mouth at John's comment. To Nahim, "I thought I might get us some information about the downed ship from last night...might be a way to make things better. Innkeeper said to check with Gormund over there in the corner, but we should probably use a little tact...," Lumin says quietly as he takes in Gormund. (Can I do an Insight check? 5 )

"What's 'earlier' supposed to mean? I don't want no damned strangers disturbing the peace." Your tactics do not seem to be producing the desired results.
"After a couple of fisherman had the unlucky prospect of attacking our group, we don't wish to be disturbing anything but they feel bad for it and seems like fun to be doing something other than just sitting around the in."

Stan will deal a few hands going over the basics of the game & observing the patrons. Stan is convinced the others will bring a mob of angry fishermen down on his & companions heads. He will stay particularly alert. Perception: 8

As the group sits in the tavern and awaits their next move, Conrad begins to play his flute to pass the time. An inspiring tune adapted from the old Alarian symphony.
"It's no use, you know. The gods won't listen, if they even exist, and there's no point in any sorrow. Just accept that you failed, and move on."
After a moment, Leo replied to Hubert's statement. "I've stopped praying to the gods. All I do now is ask that whatever force of death there is guides them safely to whatever afterlife they were awaiting. Death is a natural part of life. That doesn't mean I don't wish I was able to save them." He looked up at Hubert. "I'd be more concerned, if I were you. I need to hone my speed, because if I'm not fast enough, that could be your end. Or anyone else's, for that matter." As he stood up, he decided to change the subject. "I need to collect more ingredients for poultices. Do you want to come with?"
"aye John your right but shut up" I say with a laugh

Whatever makes you happy. I do have two rules:
If you make a bluff, you must roll a Deception check opposed by your opponents Insight.
When you try to cheat, roll a Sleight of Hand check opposed by your opponents Passive Perception (10 + WIS + Proficiency bonus if you are proficient in Perception)

Hubert notices Leo praying over the bodies.

(Hubert isn't very good at the whole "making people feel better about letting someone die" thing.)
(Also, I agree that we could possibly slow it down some.)
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
"Let's play, Stan. It's time to D-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-duel!!!! (Can we make Yu-Gi-Oh canon in this universe lol)

While setting the game up, John observes Lumin and Zahim trying to interrogate the fisherman and is keeping an eye on the situation.

The man looks up at you. He as a square jaw and stubble covers the bottom half of his face.
