Wander runs a hand along the table as he stands, shaking his head at the other two warforged. "Then you should have him fixed. Our kind do occasionally need maintenance beyond what a healer can do."
Jebben pauses mid-sip, and watches for a moment. He clears his throat and steps forward, next to Barnum. His speech is uncharacteristically slow and deliberate. "Barnum, here, is concerned for this child's safety. You two look equipped for battle, not childcare--I hope you understand. Could one of you perhaps go and fetch her mother to transfer custody, herself? It would be much less traumatic for everyone involved, especially the little girl. Look at her, the poor thing!"
Ellayne frowns ever so slightly as she listens to the sobbing bartender who does not want his child to be away from him. It seems like family matters; however, the man seems genuine that he would like to keep her and afford her for good. The ex-wife who is an evil woman who wants her child to be back. "The bodyguards have no manners." She mutters before she moves her steps toward the girl and the two Warforged. "You should not treat your soon-to-be mistress so aggressively. Also, if the mother wants to bring her child back, then why isn't she coming to get her with a gentle?"

The child is obviously upset she has to leave her father. Her bedraggled state is enough for you to realise that he probably can't take care of her properly. The two Warforged look well maintained.. and it may be a better life for her elsewhere, even if her mother has been called 'evil'. With the word 'mother', she seems to hold a resentful tone when saying it, as if she doesn't want to call her a mother at all.
Annie blinks at Dorstaer, "I don't want to leave daddy."
Silver looks at Wander and smiles, "It's not something that needs fixing."
Gold and Silver push the child gently behind them and stand shoulder to shoulder. The green glow becoming more of a ball of energy now, weaving in between Silver's fingers. Gold's leg suddenly jolts a little, and you see a blade hilt pultruding from inside. "I mean it, Dwarf. This is NOT something you want to start. The girl will be looked after, I assure you. And you... littler one... You are not in a position to ask of anything from us, you understand? You are quite obviously new to this place, and it is foolish and arrogant of you to start butting your noses where they don't belong."
Silver sends a sharp stare at Ellayne, "Baroness Hawksong does NOT trivialise her day with babysitting duties... she leaves that to.. us. She is the legal guardian of this little girl and her father is not fit to take care of her. Look at her..."
Jebben's eyes narrow as he takes another sip of his beer. He lightly elbows Barnum and mutters through the corner of his lip, "The varied denizens of The New World continue to appear friendlier and friendlier the more we explore it, eh, Slickfoot?" He then nods at the two constructs. "No gravy off of my mashed potatoes, friends, for I'm not the one who will have to face the mother with a hysterical version of her precious little girl in tow. Good journey and good luck to you."
The gnome lays his hand on the dwarf's shoulder and encourages him back, away from the bar and to their table. "Come now, let us get to celebrating your victory, and keep in mind that some of the world's troubles are destined to be sorted out by a god or gods or pantheon of gods, rather than us mere mortals, especially after some of the aforementioned mortals are still on the mend from felling vicious, toothed doorways of death."
Wander shakes his head in disbust at the other two warforged, waving them off as he returns to his seat. The other two have a point about him not knowing the rules of the land and it would be unwise for him to cause trouble so soon after arriving. "Yet more warfoged that have lost any sort of decency. I imagine if those that created us could see they would be rather proud since they wanted mindless soldiers who follow orders blindly."
Barnum's eyes narrow further, and he pulls his shoulder aggressively away from Jebben's touch, his eyes never leaving the gold warforged in front of him.
"Ye'll not. Be takin. A child. From her pappy. If she doesn't want to go."
Fire burned in the dwarf's eyes, a deep-seated emotion barely held in check as he held his position in the doorway.
Dorstaer nods along with Barnum and glares at Silver. "That statement alone tells me she is not fit to parent this child. It is not 'babysitting' to care for your own child." He steps forward to stand next to the dwarf. "And taking the child from her father is FAR from a 'trivial' duty."

Wander can only let out a sigh as the fighting starts, having hoped that it would not lead to more violence. He had been merely asking a question when he began to speak with the other warforged.
