Damien ignores everyone and gets started with setting up camp, tying off the dinos near the river and locking down the wagon. He glances at the new arrival, but pays little mind to her since 2 others are already giving her enough attention.
OOC: Retrieving arrows FAILED, Nature check PASSED and sent to your DM. Retrieving Dagger PASSED.
Ignoring the old man she turned her attention to Jadyn, her eyes taking in the Clerics fair skin and demeanor. “I often like to come to this secluded area. It’s very relaxing and a great place to take a bath.” Looking expectantly at Quill riding on the Wagon she gave a deep grin to the young girl. “What fair skin you have. It’s been so long since I had any myself.”
Thom focused on the woman with extreme prejudice. He didn’t trust women... Was it just his mind playing tricks on him or did something not seem right about her.. Her appearance shifted. (CRIT 20 PERCEPTION CHECK PASSED!)
The woman’s pale skin became covered by slimey scales, her long hair became like seaweed draping over her body. Her glassy eyes seem lifeless as claws pertrude from her fingers.
Xandala screams as the woman’s lunges at the Party her cover none blown!
Gairlick curses in dwarvish seeing the figure before them shift into something even uglier than it first appeared. "Oh shit!"He snatches his maul and prepares to charge in at their new threat.
"Screaming in horror, Quill quickly moved away from the enemy, moving closer to the cart where she can use her longbow unhindered. Scrambling for purchase on the jungle floor, she aimed a warning shot towards one of its limbs. Hopefully it would scare the ville thing away and hinder any attack it might make. Taking a deep breath, she looked her arrow, screaming for it to go away." Ignoring her the Sea Hag continues it’s approach towards the group. Quill pulls her bow back and let’s loose another arrow. It pierces the woman’s pale skin causing her to howl in pain. (Hit! 10 DMG, Foe slightly hurt.)
Still screaming Xandala raises her hand towards the Hag and releases an Orb of electricity at her attacker.Casts Chromatic Orb: (HIT! 12 electric DMG, Foe Hurt)
Saldia draws her bow, pulling the string to her chin she releases it, her arrow flies through the air. The Sea Hag smacks the arrow away with her claws before it can do any harm. (MISS!)
Damien, seeing his party in danger, quickly hides in the shadows and approaches the Hag unseen. (Stealth PASSED)
The Bard tells a great joke about a Sea Hag and her quest for beauty. The Sea Hag falls over in a fit of laughter! (WIS Save FAILED! Sea Hag knocked Prone!)
Garilick does what Barbarians do best. Releasing his inner rage, the Dwarf charges forward and swings his mighty Maul. The weapon crashes into the creature with extreme strength. (HIT! 8 DMG WIS Save Failed, still Prone)
Jadyn worships to the Mighty Raven Queen and she answers her call. The Toll of Death rings over the Sea Hag. Yet, the Sea Hag chooses to ignore it.(Casts: Toll of Death! Wis Save PASSED! WIS Save Passed, No longer Prone!)
Lesnalore refocuses herself and once again sends a Chaotic bolt coated with Poison at the Fiend. It strikes her right in the chest and she howls in pain. (Casts: Chaotic Bolt! Hit! 15 DMG, Sea Hag seriously injured!)
The heavily weakened Sea Hag charges Xandala and strikes at her with her long claws. Xandala screams in pain as the creatures claws rips her open, blood flowing freely from a severe wound! (HIT! 10DMG, Xandala is knocked out from the blow!) Dariel shouts “Lets go Fuego!” and fire shoot should from the palm of his hand. It strikes the Sea Hag, her skin starts boiling as she collapses to the ground motionless. (Casts: Produce Flame HIT! 3 DMG, Sea Hag Defeated!)
As soon as the hag and Xandala stopped moving, Jadyn ran to Xandala. She put her free hand on the unconscious woman, whispered a prayer to the Raven Queen, and felt divine energy flow into the woman's body, closing the gashes caused by the hag's claws. (OOC: cast Cure Wounds) "It is not your time yet, child."
Jadyn approaches Thom, as he appears to be obsessed with the hag's corpse. "What is wrong with you? You were going to kill her just for being here, while she still appeared human. This something you do a lot? Just murdering people?"
Damien, now un-stealth, goes back to setting up the camp. Taking time to make a fire ring and clear the floor for tents, he calls out to everyone "If you don't have anything better to do, I suggest hunting or doing a perimeter check. No telling what you may find."
Using his tinderbox to start a moderately sized fire, Damien goes about setting up everyone else's tents.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Snapping her fingers as casting bonfire on top of the fire smirking ever so slightly at Damien. "But thanks for the help." Breaking off to attempt to forage in the nearby forest. Survival check: 2. Never really was one to forage, whole lot of nothing to find for her.
Thom bent down and started carving the corpse of the hag pulling off hunks of flesh. "We are in a jungle where everything is trying to kill us." Thom glanced at Jadyn as he continued his task. "It's best to be cautious of anyone we meet." He pulled a bag from his cloak and started stuffing the slabs of flesh into it, before returning to his butchering. "It may surprise you, but women are far more dangerous then men. I can count the number of men that have attempted to take my life on a single hand. Women?" Thom shock his head as he dug into the hag trying to get through the bone. "If she didn't show any sign of danger..." Thom whispered in a low voice "...and answered the right questions" Thoms voice picked up "I would allow her to approach." Thom started cleaning off his dagger and started rummaging through the seaweed that remained looking for anything of value.
Mouth set in a grim line, Quill went over to the body, her footsteps softened by the jungle floor. Going up to the body, she gave her arrow a vicious yank, pulling it from the body. Grimacing, she whiped the arrow head on the ground, frowning as she realized that the arrow had nearly snapped at the head from the impact.
Clearly noticing her distress the cleric of the Raven Queen, whose name was Jadyn as Quill had deduced from the contract, looked over to her briefly. A muttered word in a language she didn't understand and a hand gesture soon mended the broken arrow. Searching her arrow, but keeping a loose grip on her bow. Quill turned towards the body, at once fascinated and frightened of the hideous form. How did the bard know? Why did he protect her? Why did the creature attack? Was all the jungle this horrible? Seeking a calm that seemed to escape her, Quill clapped her hand over her chest, consisting the spirit of the creature to whatever power it had perhaps worshipped in life and it's body to the care of the earth. Making a gesture of salute as if to a conquered enemy, Quill cleared her throat, knowing she was interrupting but needing to make some attempt of normal manners. "Thank you for....your aid." She told them both. "I will leave you to your discussion now."
Whistling sharply to Book, Quill announced to her party "I'm going hunting." She needed to think and time. Hunting would provide both. Besides no need to waste rations if her arrow, dagger, or traps could provide. "Would any care to join me?"
Although she craved time alone, it might be wise to have someone watch her back besides Book.
Damien shrugs at his companions assistance with the fire, not paying it much mind and goes back to his work, taking out a pot from his sack and going to the river to fill it, then placing over the fire on a stick, set up in-between a set of tripods made from sticks.
Changing her direction, Les waves at Quill getting her attention. "Raised by elves, but never really got into the tracking part of it, I would join you, got to have someone watch your back right?"
Les had never really pick up on the tracking of game from her mother or father side, the hunting came naturally, getting to the kill itself was were the trouble was at.
I pick up the dagger and say, "Didn't your mom teach you to not point knives at other people. Oh or was that an attempted throw? Go next to a tree as protection from the next throw.
Standing at full height, Damien turns around to look at the man, having drawn his shortswords he looks up at him from under his hood. He takes a few steps forward, placing himself at the edge of the camp.
".....Are you evil...if not, I'd put down the knife."
Damien ignores everyone and gets started with setting up camp, tying off the dinos near the river and locking down the wagon. He glances at the new arrival, but pays little mind to her since 2 others are already giving her enough attention.

I just wandered into this camp. Hmm not a smart move. Well I guess I will just go for it. Anyone home?
Damien immediately tosses a dagger at the man's feet, glaring at him from his spot at the fire, "......Don't move."
I pick up the dagger and say, "Didn't your mom teach you to not point knives at other people. Oh or was that an attempted throw? Go next to a tree as protection from the next throw.
So listen, I am trying to see if I might get some help on a quest. I have a little money and a lot of fight and now 2 knives.
Standing at full height, Damien turns around to look at the man, having drawn his shortswords he looks up at him from under his hood. He takes a few steps forward, placing himself at the edge of the camp.
".....Are you evil...if not, I'd put down the knife."
I may be able to get other adventurers by selling these knives. Stop for a second and listen.
Listen for second. I am a good guy when I am not killing someone.
