Garrik finds some decent trees and calls over one of the soldiers with an axe. As Tusk grabs at the snake, Ledmo is logically confused, as Tusk's movement helps obscure the snake. The snake, deciding Tusk is a more obvious threat, tries to bite at his hand as it comes close.

Wilfred looks at Wraith and Kalahari with a bemused smile. "No need for sirs and misters. Name's Wilfred Redguard, if you wanna be official. But out there in the field, all that matters is experience and courage. I rather you judge me by that". Turning to Kalahari, he adds "You seem a little nervous. Want a drink?" as he offers her his flask.

Belorin raises his head as he watches the owl, a curious look on his face, his eyes following its movements. After a while of simply watching, he turns his attention elsewhere, and as time draws on, he begins to feel and hear his stomach rumbling. For the most part, he could ignore hunger, but this was on almost a day without eating, so when the pangs came, his eyes almost instinctively shifted over to the owl. Almost with a shrug to himself, he stood and knocked an arrow to his longbow then took aim as he pulled back the bow string, his muscles growing taught. And released.

Impatient, and bored of just waiting around, Wilfred starts to head out, although he said he'd like to keep to the middle of the formation. At least now they would be moving, and that meant not being as cold. He wasn't particularly happy that this assignment had gotten him so far north, but for the last 18 moons he didn't have anything outside of his service, to give him purpose, to help him heal, and to give him a shot at redemption.

Ganathor takes the map, studies it for a few moments, and tries to figure out the best way to get to the Orc's camp. He then begins to lead the group out of the camp,
It became instantly obvious what Tusk was doing in the grass when the green viper's head lashed out at him. "Belly crawlin' boot lickin' ankle biter..." Ledmo growled lowly. The dwarf regarded Tusk with a quick look. "Ya lookin' ta kill it, er make a pet outta it? I gotta say, we got 'nough hazards 'round this place wit'out addin' poison serpents ta the mix. Ya want tha' I should put my 'atchet ta it? Make quick work of it, 'twould."
The dwarf straightened up then, slinging the handle of his battle axe through the leather loops on his rucksack. Ledmo then pulled the hand axe from the holster at his right hip. "By the by, name's Ledmo, Ledmo Embervein, though mos' tend t'be callin' me Led, which suites me jus' fine. So, shall I be separatin' tha' snake's head from it's body fer ya, or are ya 'avin' other plans fer the beast?"
Tusk's response brought a short shrug from the dwarf. "So be it.", he said as he slid the hand axe back into it's holster, and pulled his battle axe off the rucksack and back into his grasp again. "Good to meetcha, Tusk. Jus' take care tha' no one gits bit. Camp's full a' wounded as it is."
Ledmo then cast his look toward the dense foliage beyond the work area again, and he sucked at his teeth loudly. "Which reminds me, we're makin' quite a bit a' noise out 'ere, wha' wit' all the choppin' and knockin' down a' these trees. We oughtta think 'bout gittin' this lumber back ta camp soon, and seein' 'bout repairin' the defenses. It's my guess tha' out there..." and he gave a quick nod to the taller trees, the shadows beneath them, and all the brush cover between where they stood and there. "...are eyes we ain' seein', but surely are seein' us. It's a sure bet that the scalies'll be hittin' us again, an' we don' wanna be outside the walls when tha' 'appens. D'ya know iffen the Cap'n's sent out a recon crew yet?"
Ledmo nodded. "Very well. I'll leave ya ta it then, Tusk. I'll be on perimeter duty 'til we're gittin' the call ta move out. Give a shout iffen yer in need." And with that, the dwarf resumed his circuit of the work area, keeping a careful eye on the wooded boglands.
