Kyne nods in understanding as Moltaris tells her tale. He recalls reading tales of the Kalashtar and how they came to Eberron in the libraries of the Order, but has never before personally met a cleric of Taratai.
"Probably," Kyne answers Mathilda. "It's certainly the right colour."
He leans over the book to take a look for himself, not looking for language so much as alphabet. The elegant script doesn't look like Dwarvish, but maybe Elvish?
(OOC: Kyne speaks common, Elvish and Dwarvish. The Dwarvish script is also used for Giant, Gnomish, Goblin and Primordial. The Elvish script is also used for Sylvan and Undercommon.)
Seeing as Kyne does not seem to be able to read the language either, Mathilda flaps the book shut and stashes it in her bag. "Let's take this, maybe we can find someone to translate. What do we do with the potion? Destroy it?" She is looking at Kyne and Moltaris. "I'm going to go upstairs and get some fresh air, if that's ok." Back outside, she brushes the dust and ashes off herself and breathes in some fresh, clean air. After all that fighting and killing, she needs a moment to collect herself and sort her thoughts.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kyne sighs.
I bet Seb would know exactly what language that is. He thinks to himself, but then shakes his head. Seb wasn't here and she wasn't likely to be. They'd have to find some other way to work out what was going on here. He searches through the shelves, taking time to look through the books and scrolls especially. Voren must have worked with the big book somehow. Maybe he needed a book on the language?
Kyne gathers all the books for Mathilda's bag of holding, as well the scrolls, especially any that look like they might be the magic kind. He also gathers all the alchemical ingredients in case they need them later, before, finally, searching Voren's corpse for any magical items, gold or other valuables.
Once he's done he goes upstairs and also searches the other two bodies.
Kyne doesn't know that Mathilda has a bag of holding but I will allow it for speed up reasons ;)
While Kyne and Mathilda put the things on the shelves in Mathilda's bag, they do recognize some books as books of history, a treaty in local plants and fungus, some drawings of beast, both magical and mundane, and Kyne stops at one that is written in another stragne language. This one's script is sharp and it's all written in a brownish ink. It has pictures of demons.
When he walks towards Voren's corpse he find his belt with some magical components, a blue pale cristal in a thin gold chain around his neck, a coin purse with some gold and silver pieces, another purse with two pearls, one black and one white, and he wears a ring. It seems to be a platinum band with no jewels and no engravings. Putting it off he can see that there are some runes inscribed in the inside of it.
He notices, too.. that the blood of the wizard has reached the runic circle wich is drawn in the floor, and instead of covering it, it seems that the blood has, somehow, filled it, as if instead of draw it was carved on the floor and had made a path for the blood to follow, but it's not carved, it's draw in the floor.
Perhaps it was his imagination, or the reflection of the dim purple light of the magical lights in the walls but he would say that the circle now has a very faint redish brilliance over it.
Mathilda finally gets some fresh air and she sees the two warriors talking to themselves. She can't barely believe all that had transpired since they got there, and suddenly her stomach reminds her that, with all the excitment, they had probably skip the eating time.
Meanwhile Moltaris see how Kyne swears and looks around anxiously, he runs towards the shelves and bang and hit one of them until he broke it and goes running towards the drawing in the floor and he tries to disrupt the drawing with it, scratching the floor with the broken shelve.
She was about to ask what he is doing when she notices it. The faint red glowing around the simbols and drawings in the floor. Kyne looks with horror that his efforts are in vain. Is like the damn thing is painted into the floor rather than draw with chalk. And it seems to have absorbed the blood and now its like it has been painted with it. The glowing intensifies. Not much, but enough to be visible now.
Seeing the intensifying glow of the arcane circle, Moltaris immediately turns her attention away from Voren's body and swings around. Shouting in Quori, she brandishes Taratai's reliquary towards the circle and casts Dispel Magic! A silvery radiance sparkles forth from her hand and settles over the circle, absorbing the effect and quieting the powers driving it.
Moltaris looks at Kyne, golden eyes glittering. "That was close. TOO close."

The half-orc lets out a small chuckle at the elf's imagery. "Though I'm sure I could still learn a thing or two from your kin." Hurosk takes a moment to continue to scan the surroundings, allowing his gaze to linger on the lake. He glances back inside the lodge. "I know most of us got pretty singed in there, but other than that, this all seems a little too easy. Definitely something bigger than a few thugs brewing up some concoction in their basement. We may have satisfied the 'nose's' requirements but what have we uncovered here?"
Mathilda stretches, easing the tension out of her limbs. She joins Hurosk and Lyreis. "I'm afraid I know very little about magic... we found some books downstairs, maybe we can have someone translate them later? That might help us?" She pauses, looking at the perfectly serene lake again. "Do you think the, uhm, "hunter" was lying about there being something in the lake? It looks so peaceful, more like a nice place for a little cookout." Her stomach growls and she laughs in embarrassment.
As Lyreis looks out over the water he replies to Hurosk "You cut to the heart of it, we have uncovered a piece of a wider puzzle, some of the answers must lay out there" he says gesturing to the lake "maybe that will be the end of it, I do not know." Looking over his shoulder at the house he continues "they may have found more clues, maybe not - if there is nothing solid to go on I think we can return to the town and find our handsome friend, possibly the fey will show himself as well. We might learn more from either of them."

"Why don't I stay with him down here while you and the others go upstairs and deal with the living one. I might need to say some things to Voren that won't be as believable if anyone else is here... things like 'These fools I travel with are blind... your mistress is fascinating and I wish to serve her...'"

As they all stare at the lake the can see that it looks like a peaceful place indeed.
The calm water reflects the sky and the clouds as well as the woods at its banks. From time to time, a fish or other aquatic creature breaks the surface of it, sending waves all around. Inside the lake, here and there, there are some small islands, covered in trees, that dot the lake about two miles from their shore and more to the west along the coast.
It is hard to believe that there is something foul somewhere there. It seems to peaceful and full of life and beauty.
"Fine by me. Just let me finish looking at this 'Red Dream'..."
Kyne takes a long spoon from near the cauldron and stirs through the bottom of it, looking for anything solid. If he finds something, he brings it up. Otherwise, he decants some of the liquid into one of the glass bottles from the shelves, stoppers it and takes it with him upstairs for later investigation.
"Molly will just be a little longer," he tells the others with a smile, before beginning to go through the cupboards and drawers looking for food.
Kyne takes some of the liquid with him after not finding nothing solid inside the pot.
He and Mathilda start looking for food upstairs and they indeed find it. They are well supplied with salted meat, bacon, eggs, fruits and even a couple of trouts wich seem fresh, probably from that very morning. .
She can't believe her luck when she finds, in a crate, a sac with dragonmallows, a sweet very popular among kids durin the summer festivities.
Mathilda jumps up and down with excitement: "Dragonmallows, my favourite!! We must have that bonfire now, please?" She claps her hands together and starts gathering some plates and cutlery without even waiting for an answer.
"I don't like the sense I got coming from within there... Oh, as a note. I also detected dragons roaming far to the south of here, at the edge of my senses." Hearing the rustling of plates and silverware from within Hurosk's stomach begins to rumble. He turns back towards the house and says to Lyreis. "Hmm... Sounds like someone is preparing some lunch."
"How far do your senses reach out? Dragons you say, Hmmm. Nevermind, apart from not liking it could you learn anymore about whatever is in the lake?" Lyreis seems to be going through the.motions with the last part of the question, apparently still being stuck on the idea of dragons. He doesn't react at all to the mention of food and he has a faraway look.
