The dragonborn takes their orders, most of the food she has to offer consists in fresh cooked fish, and she recommends the roasted trout, she looks at Hurosk.
"Black magic? Not that I've heard of no..." she answers.
She then retires to get ready their orders and rooms and by the time the food arrives, the inn has been filling with people. It seems that some locals had come to the tavern to relax after a long work day. The companions share their meals in silence, happy to have a hot and decent meal after the journey and pondering their options.
When they are finishing their meals, Both Hurosk and Ari notices that, among the people who had entered one particular individual stays in a table at one side of the fireplace, wich casts long shadows on that particular table. He has the hood of his cape over his head, but even the hood can't cover completely the large nose the man has, wich protudes from the shadow of the hood like a vulture beak.
They look to each other. Could that be?
Sorry to cut a little bit the inn scene and to be somehow blunt, but with all my last trips we need to get this moving... alas there are still some other quests in the inn for you to take if you wish... ;)
A messenger appears in the lobby. Ary excuses themself from the party talks briefly then returns.
"Sorry friends but this is goodbye. Best of adventure to you," they add tossing 10 gold onto the table. "First round on me," they add before striding away with the messenger.

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
Hurosk bids a farewell to Ary and thanks them for the drink. He turns back to the others and shrugs his shoulders. "Anyways...," he continues in a lower voice to Lyreis and Moltaris and motions to the figure by the fireplace, "that one there has quite the noticeable nose. Shall we see if this is the one our satyr friend told us to seek out?" The half-orc rises from his chair and strides over. "Excuse me...?"
Moltaris moves forward, staying close to Hurosk, ready to assist with anything if necessary.

Molly shakes her head, lips in a frustrated frown. "He seemed to make it a point NOT TO tell us his name... but he talked a LOT and was very worried about someone with dark magics... said someone with a nose that escapes the darkness would be able to prove his trustworthiness..."

The man seems confused and looks from one to another when they talk to each other.
”Dark magic? Satyr? No I don’t... are you trying to con me? Because this is the lamest try at it I’ve ever wistened...” replies the man.
He takes off his hood and reveals a round face, bald and thin lips. Without the hood around it the nose seems a little bit shorter but it’s still a remarkable one.
“You are not from town I can tell... let me give you a piece of advise for free. In this city it’s not polite to start talking with people remarking their physical attributes... or how big this attributes are...”
Overhearing the exchange as he follows the others over Lyreis laughs, but not unkindly. "If we have missed our mark then we apologise sincerely but you do match a description we were given, perhaps another patron has been here that you might have noticed, his prominent nose being the main identifying feature." The mischief is clear in the elf's voice and the twinkle in his eye.

"Should I order something for you to drink? " offers the man. After whatever answer they give to him her order a wine for himself. Once the drinks ordered are served he says.
" You seem like the wanderer type to me... " he looks to you " going from one place to another, whenever the wind takes you... sounds like an interesting life, but not all of us hear that calling... or dear to follow it." he adds before take a sip from his cup. " Well, thing is that those of us who has a more settled nature really care about our homes, either it be a small village or a prosperous city like this one " he opens his arms to include the whole main room of the inn, wich is filling little by little of people and its getting more lousy by the minute.
"Thing is that I am a worried citizen for some nasty things that had been occuring in the city lately. I lack the abilities required to look into such matter but I do have the means to procure me with individuals with such abilites. And you seem to posses them... " he says looking significatly to your weapons, specially the doubled scimitar of Linerys.
He takes another sip of his cup before continue. He leans a little bit on the table and lowers his voice.
"Recently there had been some... incidents. They seem related to a substance, at the consume of that substance to be precise. It tends to turn people into no more than violent animals that attack whatever they had on sight. And the good people of this city cannot let this... drug, loose in its streets. The guard... well, you know, they do what they can, but they are restricted by the chains of the laws... and I think that this need a more... direct and free thinking approach so to speak. "
The half-orc scratches his chin as the man explains the situation. "And why can't the law handle this? Is the producing and selling of such a substance not illegal?"
"Oh indeed, but I think that you, not beign held by the rest of the rules and laws and procedures that the city watch has to deal with... will be more... effective and hopefully faster to handle the problem. " replies the man with a grin.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Moltaris stares at the talkative bald fellow with the enormous nose. "Oh, I'd hate to see the grindstone," she murmurs to herself. As the man talks, she grows increasingly curious and suspicious. He likes his wine... he likes the sound of his own voice...
Insight: 17 (Does Molly think the bald man is the satyr, behind some illusion?)
"The city watch, in my experience, is also vulnerable to influence by those with wealth and title," she adds to the bald man's response to her half-orc companion. "It can make them positively blind."

Moltaris is quite sue that there is not illusion here, and she notices that he is only simulating to drink the wine, but she does have the hunch that the man wants to avoid the participation of the guards, for whatever reason.
At the mention of those with wealth and title he tenses for a second.
"Indeed, if someone powerful enough is involved, wich I do not know... yet... it could make the guards to llok the other way, wich would be... unfortunate. "
"Wealth and title blind all but the strongest of wills, Moltaris," a deep voice interjects from off to the side. The words flow from the man's tongue like honey off a spoon.
Those who look around for the voice's owner find a tall wood elf with waves of chestnut hair that fall to his shoulders, leaning lazily against the nearby bar. He returns the looks with a charming grin, casual, but composed. A dark green cloak is cast back over his right shoulder to reveal a well fitted suit of studded leather underneath, as well as a sheathed longsword at his hip. This man has clearly seen action and is ready for more.
He rights himself and strolls over closer to the trio gathered around the table with the long-nosed man. The move seems nonchalant to most, but to trained warriors such as Lyreis or Hurosk it belies the prowling grace of another skilled fighter.
"Gentlemen," he nods in greeting to the half-orc and the elf, before extending a hand towards Moltaris. "My name is Kyne Thandúil, although in these parts most know me as Kyne 'Stormchaser'. Our mutual horny friend, told me I'd find you here. Apparently, there is work to be done."
The man literraly jumps over his chair, spilling the wine all over himself and the table.
"What the.. owh.. in the name of the Gods!... who are you? And who is that mutual horny friend you keep talking about?? Who do you work for?? " he seems pretty on edge.
"A concerned benefactor with an interest in getting this 'substance' off your streets," Kyne smooths over, deftly fetching the man a new goblet of wine and tossing him a cloth for his clothes. "Nothing you need worry about. Now - to business. Do you know where we can find those responsible?"
