Dworic, face covered in dark stains from machinery squints as he tries to get a better look at the glint in the sky. "wunda wut tha' coul' be?" He says to himself out loud hoping Higgywick and any other soul could see it to make sure he isn't going crazy. As the flying reptilian creature gets closer and he notices what it is he exclaims, "What da bludy hell is that?"He quickly closes the circuitry compartments of his armor and reaches for his helmet as he braces himself for what is to come. He sees Seb waving her staff and a storm suddenly raging near the creature, whew glad I'm not the only one that sees this thing. He finishes strapping on the final pieces of his armor as the suit begins the emit a buzzing sound as the light in the chest piece begins to shine and charge the suit. He readies the blasters in his palms with his hammer by his side for what comes next.
Molly follows Hurosk forward and steps up to the bow ballista. "Captain, can I get a loader here, please?" As she passes the mighty archer, Dworic reaches the deck and the kalashtar calls out, "Bright Mother, bless our eyes, our hands, our hearts!"

"Ry'lanth" he says and the Kalastar sees how the ballista charges up with energy and gets ready to fire. The gnome winks an eye to the cleric.
"Please do" says Tandriel to Hurosk at his suggestion "I would ask myself if they were here to talk later..." she smirks to the half-orc as the bell starts to sound.
The shriek of the wyverns fill the sky, answering to the evident threat of the occupants of the airship.
Kyne sees one of the wyverns begin to close and acts quickly, choosing fire over air. The elf twists on the ball of his front foot and the crackling spheres of flame in his palms blossom into six streaking comets. He twirls on the spot and sends two hurtling into the cloud bank, where they explode around the dragon and its rider.
A roar of pain comes from behind the cloud curtain and the silhouette of the wyvern can be seen thanks to the explosions of the fire bolts casted by the sorcercer.
That's all that Hurosk needs and, firing slightly in front of his target he unleashes his bow. The arrows fly true and to the roars of pain of the wyvern they all can hear the scream of the rider, angry for the pain his mount is suffering.
The wyvern makes a hard turn towards the ship and breaks the cloud, surrounded by grey tendrils it flaps its wings as the rider prepares to jump into the airship.
Seb'riel is just below it, amazed by the size of the creature.
She doesn't let her awe freeze her though. She reaches up through the weave, pulling on invisible strings as she pokes her tongue through her lips into a momentary grotesque masked image as her face contorts through the spell. The rider of the wyvern falls backwards, luckily for him his shoulders snag in the straps and he lies, precariously against the shoulders of the beast, rolling and kicking his legs in screams of laughter. Between fits of hysterics, what may be words can be snatched between. The beast turns its head and roars in confusion.
Moltaris pivots with the cannon, scanning the sky. Too many clouds and shadows to get good aim, so the kalashtar delves into their deep well of power from Bright Mother and releases a wave of divine power towards one of the wyverns and its rider. The two brutes shrug off the attack, and Molly slams her hand into the cannon in frustration. Seeing the wyvern circling to drop a rider, Molly pulls herself out of the seat and shouts back to the gnome, "We need a shooter here, or else we need to get out of these damn clouds so someone can see to fire!"

His visor slams hut over his face and the eyes of his helmet begin to glow as Dworic grips firmly onto the shaft of his maul. Steam begins to build around his feet as the gears begin to whir and the air beneath his feet begins to blow away. The short-statured dwarf begins to take flight directly towards the wyvern attempting to land. As he approaches he swings his hammer to hit the wyvern but the lack of stability from the ground threw his balance off and he whiffed the wyverns head. "Ay aint gunna miss this time." He floats just above its head and brings his hammer over his head for a big swing using the momentum of his descent to go with it. It hits hard, followed by the sound of a thunderclap as the kinetic energy stored in the hammer rushes through the creature's skull, "Now Ay've got da swing uvit, heh."
The wyvern roared in pain and defiance towards the strange dwarf that was flying in front of it. It threw one of its claws towards him, with such force that it made the metal of the poer armor screetch. Dworic really felt that hit. Fortunately even the wyvern was caught by surprise by the force of it. It sent the dwarf stumbling and spinning a few feet away and that made the other claw to miss its target. To be caught by the two of them could have been fatal.
Meanwhile its rider seemed to find it all really amusing for he kept laughing uncontrollably at the creature's back.
A second wyvern appeared among the clouds and darted towards the helm of the ship. It's rider threw a javelin against the minotaur and the wyvern took advantage of the confusion to grapple the gnome and fly away with him among its claws. The rider screamed in victory and the wyvern roared. Tandriel screamed in frustration.
A third one came down the front of the ship, in a deep dive, it snatched Moltaris from the ballista and flew away of the airshop, dissapearing among the clouds with its price among its claws. The rider, however, jumped into the deck of the airship and dashed towards Kyne. It hissed and threw himself with crazy fury towards the elf. The savagery of the attack almost caught him unaware, and the halfling was able to cut him at the abdomen with his nails, sharp as claws. Kyne had seen the black ooze pouring from the nails as it approached and was ready for it, despite the burning painful wound he was able to cast a spell to absorb most of it. The halfling unsheated a couple of curved in the middle section shortswords and defied Kyne.
"MOLTARIS!" Kyne yells as he sees the wyvern snatch the cleric up from the deck. The Elf's concern for his friend gives the halfling the opening that it needs to strike at him with its acidic nails. However, Kyne brings Daedagnir up just in time, catching the savage claws on the downward-angled blade with a ringing screech.
The sorcerer clutches the hilt in both hands, raising it high as he swings the sword around his head. The ruby red dragonshard embedded in the weapon's guard flares bright as Kyne channels his inner fire into the weapon and the steel erupts in flame, slinging acid back at the halfling as the Elf brings his blade down at its neck. A small head tumbles across the deck, leaving only two charred stumps with the fire has seared through the wyvern rider's neck.
Kyne's eyes return to the skies, searching the clouds in vain for Moltaris, even as he hurls two more spheres of flame at the wyvern with the cackling rider.
Hurosk bounds for the ballista from which Moltaris was just carried away. "Let's give this thing a try."He drops his bow and settles in behind the large weapon. With his magical mark still on one of the creatures he scans the clouds, waiting for an opening. THERE!
Pulling the release, the ballista launches an arcane bolt at the wyvern and its laughing rider. The sharpshooter's aim is true as the creature immediately begins its plummet back towards the surface, disappearing under the clouds. "Hah! Oh, this works great!" With a mere though from Hurosk, the ballista reloads itself and he moves his mark to the creature that has Moltaris in its grasp. "Someone get ready to catch her!"
Seb'Riel looks on as Moltaris is snatched from the ship with a scowl.
"Bring her back" She points on after the wyvern and there is a squark and a falling if feathers as her familiar darts past. Seb's eyes go white as she murmurs, then suddenly there is a low rumbling followed by a loud explosion, more feathers and a dull thud as the gnome clatters to the floor on the deck if the ship. He apologises for himself but Seb ignores him.
Moltaris curses and snarls, struggling against the iron grip of the wyvern as it snatches her off the deck and up into the clouds. "Aaaahhh!" she wriggles one arm loose enough to call forth a burst of necrotic energy and pumping it into the taloned leg. The flesh erupts with foul-smelling pustules and begins to waste away at the touch of the kalashtar priestess. The wyvern shrieks in pain and unexpectedly releases Molly from its grasp! Beginning to plummet, she yells, "You'd better fly away, you smelly son of a shit!"

"Moltaris!" The dwarf yells as he prepares to leap in to save her. However, he notices something strange, she's falling gently, like a feather. He overcomes his impulsive emotions to think for a moment he realizes that she will be ok and his place is to eliminate the threat in front of her. He rushes toward the wyvern chasing down Moltaris. In front of the beast, it breathes a foul stench right into his face. "Yer, not gunna get another shot at her!" His eyes glow as he smashes his gauntleted fists together causing a veil of light coming from the impact to envelop his whole body. He takes a firm grip on his hammer and stares down the wyvern as he winds it back for a swing, "Dis one is gunna hert!"
The wyvern roars and partly blinded by the pain tries to slash and render Dworic with its claws and stinger. Each time the creature hits a pulse from the dragonshard on the dwarf armor seems to create an energy field that protects him. But even so the ferocity of the creature gives it unnatural speed and Dworic is not fast enough to redirect the energy in time. Every time the energy deflects one attack sparks of blue lighting cover him and the energy of the boots seems to flicker just for the fraction of a second, but then the armor compensates and gives him enough sustentation to keep him steady. The rider of the wyvern also tries to hit him, but the energy deflects the javelin. The remaining wyvern, without the direction of its rider, tries to eliminate the same enemy has its sister. Appearing among the clouds it tries to put the dwarf out of the sky, but once again the energy field holds against the attacks of the creature.
"Wazzok," Kyne curses, sheathing his blade and breaking into a run towards the edge of the ship. Reaching up into the air as he goes, the sorcerer snatches the last two orbs of flame from above his head and hurls them in the direction of the last remaining wyvern rider.
Not waiting around to see the result, Kyne swan dives over the Mist Eagle's guard rail in the direction of Moltaris's voice. Immediately, the air around the elf shifts in density to support him as he manipulates the elemental currents around him, just as Seb had explained during their lessons. Kyne streaks through the clouds away from the skyship until the cleric finally comes into view and they collide in mid-air as he wraps his arms around her to check her freefall.
"I've got you. I've got you," the sorcerer pants as he tries to stop them from spinning.
Tandriel grunts and the airship veers and makes a steep descent towards Moltaris and Kyne. They both see that the airship is right below them and they can just float down towards it. Dworic is still floating in front of the two wyverns who flap their wings trying to stay close to the strange flying creature that is fighting them.
Thanks to their new position the mantle of clouds is a little bit clearer, not much but among the moving grey around them they could see patches of green and black below them. Its seems that they are overflying an island of some sorts.
Hurosk has the wyvern in his sights, but as he goes to fire the weapon the ship begins its sharp descent, throwing off the hunter's aim. "Damn!"he curses as the bolt goes sailing beneath his target. He scoops up his bow and moves toward the railing of the skyship. "Get out of there!"he calls to the Dworic. "I'll cover you!"
Seb'Riel sends her own streak of fire at the wyvern trying to divert it from attacking Dworic, her face steeped in concentration as she heats the usually icy magic from her veins to power the spell. The beast grunts in pain as the flames impact, but it keeps flying.
"Shallan's going to be jealous, loverboy..." Molly quips as the lithe elf wraps his arm around the falling kalashtar. She wraps herself around his waist and wriggles to where she isn't impeding his arms. Molly points the index and pinky fingers of her left hand at the wyverns threatening Dworic, and growls in Quori. A deep bell ringing, a death knell, peals out across the sky. Blood erupts from the eyes and ears of the two wyverns as the sound ripples through their wounded bodies. She makes a fist of her left hand, and reaches out with the open palm of her right hand towards Dworic. A softer note emanates from her throat, and a warm glow invigorates the dwarf.
