"Could you explain this Dragon Prophecy in a little more detail?" Kyne inquires with an amiable smile and a tilt of his head. "Chanterelle was light on the specifics."
"Will that smile ever not get you what you want?" Molly murmurs just loudly enough. Her own eyes twinkle but her expression is otherwise still and calm.

Chanterelle rests her cup in her palm. "What more did you want to know? Prophecies aren't very specific, that's how things are." She looks over to the gnome. "Not to say you aren't the best person to ask, of course."
"There are patterns hidden in the world, Kyne. Secrets lie in the conjunctions of the planes and moons, in strange symbols formed by the flowing lava of a volcanic eruption or the fissures caused by an earthquake. Carved in the walls of ancient citadels and on primeval megaliths, knot patterns appear to have meaning that only the contemplative mind can hope to comprehend. To those who can read them, these myriad events and signs form a map of possible futures, a map that can be used to shape the course of history." Molly glances towards Seb'riel, a little uncomfortable to be dipping her toes in Seb's area of expertise.
"My teachers spoke of such a map called the Draconic Prophecy... it was attributed to the Progenitor Dragons: Eberron, Siberys, and Khyber. It's vast and complex, its signs scattered across the world. Few humans or even elves have the time or resources to unravel its secrets. The foremost students of the Prophecy are ancient dragons, immortal fiends, and others who have devoted thousands of years to this work."
"What makes the Draconic Prophecy especially complex is that it doesn’t define a singular path for the future - it's a map, not a set of directions. The Prophecy shows many possible futures, along with the steps that must occur to make that future a reality."

"I couldn't have explained better myself" says with a nod to her "Your teachers taught you well"
"Ohh hummm.. yes yes.. all of that... "corroborates Glelthoorn "And the Dragon Flowers form part of that... map you said? yes.. yes... that's a beautiful analogy... "
"So the bottom line is that nobody knows," Kyne remarks with a shit eating grin, "except for the fact that we are about to witness the revelation of one piece of a fascinating cosmic puzzle."
"Yes! Precisely!!"applauds Glethoorn "I've devoted my life to study it and I can assure you this.. I am sure that the Three Progenitors are trying to tell us how to keep them... alive. They are the very soul and soil of the world... and the moons... and the sky... and that's why the Prophecy is alive like them... it's the way they communicate with us and try to guide us... Oooh I regret not be able to learn of those first phases of it... when the world was young, but I doubt anyone would even care back then... not so many do it nowadays anyway... but those are messages directly from Them... we need to understand it, we need to learn... to listen to them. They use their very own blood and body, the nature, to talk to us. Only twice they had remained silent... at least that I am aware of..."

"Oh my no! Let's hope they remain trapped as they have been since the Age of Monsters. My knowledge of them is limited though... what do you want to know about them? Tales of the Daelkyr war? Their spawn that still roams Khyber? The name of the Six that still remains trapped in this world? The legends that tells us about their prisions? I am not sure that I could tell you much more dear...not my field of expertise I am afraid... "
The old gnome seems worried that he could not fulfill Moltaris expectations.
The fairy returns the smile. She seems to consider Moltaris a scholar and asks, brow furrowed: "What colour do you think it'll be?", as if this were the most important point by far.

"Sapphire, with any luck!" Molly replies. The normally taciturn kalashtar seems to be disarmed by the friendly and earnest Chanterelle.

Molly replies, "I honestly don't know, wise one. My master, the one who taught me and trained me and set me on my mission for Bright Mother... She believes the daelkyr could be responsible for ALL DRAGONMARKS. A dragonmark, so I was taught, is a manifestation of the Prophecy on a physical creature. The Prophecy is part of the underlying... language? pattern? code... defining reality, but dragonmarks only appeared a few millennia ago—and according to my master -- the dragons were taken entirely by surprise."

"Ooohh the dragonmarks... yes yes of course... but you see.. there are runes, marks, milestones of the map of the Propechy that started to appear before the dragonmarks, and others even after them... What I mean... here here.."says Gleethorn using the point of his staff to draw in the dirt "Let's imagine a map.. yes yes... we said the Prophecy was like a map right?. " he starts to draw a forest, mountains a river and a lake or a sea, faster and more skilled that one had thought for someone his age. He then suddenly stops and looks towards Chanterelle and Moltaris. " Sapphire?! Hmm that would be really interesting... there hasn't been a Sapphire before... not on my records at least... "his sight gets lost for a few seconds as he mumbles something looking at some point above Dworic's shoulder. He then blinks and focus his eyes once more. " Where were we?"one fairy flies to his ear and whispers something to him "Ah! Oh! the map yes yes... the dragonmarks... here... "He says pointing at the forest he just drew " Let's say you start in the forest, and find a map that sends you towards the mountains, once there, you find another pieces of the map that points you towards the river " he was moving the point of his staff while he was talking "And there you find clues that points you to the sea... Once you reach the sea it's easy to look backwards and say "the mountains appeared along the way so someone had to just add them to it" but truth is.. they were always there and were meant to guide us towards our next leg of the journey..."
He takes a long sip of his wine while let his words sink on his audience
" Dragonmarks are indeed part of the Prophecy, and I am telling you my dear, all those Houses are doing a terrible job registering and cataloguing them... they took them for granted and... they aren't. As well as we leave the mountains behind, the Dragonmarks will dissapear one day. Mark my words. " he stops and rasies an eyebrow "Mark my words... hehehe... saw what I did there? hehehehe hahahahaha Mark my words... aaahh hehehehe "

"So the dragonmarks are part of the prophecy... and the dragon flowers too... I've never heard of dragon flowers. But are you implying that the Prophecy led us here to find these flowers? Because we're here chasing pirates."

"I wouldn't presume to know all the designs of the Progenitor Dragons my dear, but I was talking metaphorically and of all of us who has devoted our lives to study the Prophecy... perhaps the Prophecy wanted you to chase pirates to find the dragon flowers?... " he stop talking, thinking and humming to himself for almost a minute "No... at least the part that I know of the Prophecy doesn't talk about pirates... or you... "
"It's hard to say"says the gnome "Sometimes it talks about great events... like the War you see? sometimes of little things that may look as of little consequence but, as a stone thrown into a tranquil lake, the ripples expand and expand and end affecting things and people unexpected. But unfortunately no one has been able to determine much of it, I mean... if I got a symbol here, and another erudite has another that suddenly appears in the magma of a volcano in Argonnessen... they could be related but without each other they lack of sense... Some could feel discouraged by this, most do, but I find it fascinating, and every bit of knowledge we acquire, takes us one step closer to understand it... yes... yes..." he says with a hopeful spark in his eyes.
