Rumble watches silently, this was not his thing. Instead, he keeps an eye on the door, watching for any movement from the kid inside. 

Ismark and Ireena look on in wonder at the magical rite, each without words. Donavich looks particularly enthralled. When completed, the group solemnly lower the late Burgomaster down to his final resting place. With tears in her eyes, Ireena tosses a hand on dirt onto the coffin, closely followed by Ismark. The funeral concludes as Donavich fills in the hole.

The priest gives the two a few moments until Ismark asks, "Father, we're to be leaving in search of a safe haven. Is there anywhere, aside from Vallaki, where we might seek refuge?"

Donavich rubs his chin and answers, "Well, the holiest of places of the Abbey of the Saint Markovia in Krezk. That would be your best bet, but it's quite the distance. Be careful and watch yourself. May the Dawnfather be with you." Turning to Allen, the priest wrings his hands together awkwardly. "That was a glorious miracle, sir. I haven't seen anything of the like in what seems like an eternity. Would... You wouldn't be able to purge and banish evil, would you?"

"I don't think I could, I was just recently given this power. The most I could do is ward the unfortunately the deceased or protection from evil... Sorry."

Visibly crestfallen with sunken shoulders, he turns from you and starts off towards the Church. Evidently, he has nothing further to say on the matter.

Rumble, there doesn't seem to be any activity from within the church.

"Why do you ask that question, father?" Rumble asks.

Over his shoulder, he states, "Same story everywhere, I suppose. I had a glimmer of hope, seeing your friend create a miracle when I had been so abandoned. The Morninglord no longer walks beside me. I will pray he walks with you and yours, but it falls on deaf ears." The priest becomes suddenly angry and barks, "Stay if you like. I am off to beseech the emptiness."

Graeme gives an encouraging thumbs up to Allen. “Beautiful work, lad.” He says somberly. 

Raising  his voice a bit to catch the fathers attention...

“Wha’ manner a’ evil would we be talkin’ about, father?”

Donavich stops short. His hoarse and tired voice carries a weight, "I look to purify evil and the undeath, as any shepherd seeks. Fervently, but unsuccessfully, I struggle to reach the Divine. So... Disconnected. I can no longer create miracles, as I said, but the Devil grows ever stronger."

He turns face, waives his hands in a circular fashion, and makes a hand signal. Hands from above his head, bowing in a vertical motion, and coming to rest on horizontally placed palms, he nods with eyes closed before continuing on.

Talking to the father "I pray you finder you solution..." Allen turns to Ismark and Ireena  "Well, what's the plan now?"

As father walks ahead of the group, rumble hangs back and says to the group... "He's not telling us everything... he has some kid locked up in a basement."

"Are you sure? What did this kid look like?" Allen asking  Rumble to continue.

Ismark has the teary Ireena in his arms with but a lone wet streak down his left cheek. Rubbing her auburn hair, he replies, "I... We are pretty much ready to leave when you are. I don't think we need be getting into this business, personally. There's not much left for us here now. If you'd prefer, we can meet back up if you have something to do, but we just need to grab our packs and we're as good as we can be."

As the group reaches the church's main doors, they shut with a creak as the priest enters without word. The group is outside the front, arriving just moments after the doors close.

"Small, scared and scraggly."

Rumble, you recall the kid as a younger. Likely, he was in his adolescence but not teenage. He was a bit away, but it was clear that he was malnourished and wore essentially stained rags. Unfortunately, you didn't get a very good look at him.

Hearing that Ismark and Ireena are taken care of, Graeme turns to Rumble and Allen. “If there’s a kid entrapped here, we should have a look into it, lads. After those two move on, whattaya  say the two of you make yerselves invisible and I’ll talk to priest and see what he has to say. If ‘e starts a scuffle, then I got you two to back me up.”

"Well if that's what you think is best. Lead the way Rumble.."

Sounds good.

Rumble will take the opportunity to wait for a good moment before slinking away with Allen. He will help him if he can by leading the way.

Allen not the quickest and definitely not quietest will take all the help he can get.

Rumble moves forward, lythly making his way towards the door. Following close, matching his movements with his expert lead, the previously creaky doors glide silently open. Rumble peers in to see Donavich walking down the hallway about twenty five paces out. Mumbling to himself, he's unaware of the group's entrance. As he reaches the end of the hallway, the door on the far right swings outward. The instant the door opens, a figure lunges forward; knocking Donavich to the ground.

The figure appears to be the boy Rumble mentioned, noticeable by his shredded clothing and emaciated form. The boy pins the priest to the ground and bites down on his shoulder. The man's cries of pain shatter the church's quiet atmosphere as the boy rips away a chunk of cloth and flesh. Swallowing his mouthful, the boy yells, "Father, I'm so hungry! So, so empty!" as he proceeds to erratically scratch and bite the man's face.
