Herr Doktor begins to ritually cast Unseen Servant, which will last for an hour...when he gets an odd look from Ian, he says: You never know when you need an invisible friend...
Gruxx, (even with a high roll) you hear nothing on the other side of the door.
Ian, you hear nothing through the door, open it silently, and look into what appears to be another small, empty passage. You can see another door 15 feet ahead of you and a passage to the right (south), but you can't see where it goes. You go in and find that it is empty, triangular shaped, and there's another curtain heading south (besides the door heading east). Do you want to do something else in here or join the others?
Glynquinal opens the door to find himself face to face with a hobgoblin ... and it doesn't look very happy to see him!
Using what everyone was doing, I've place everyone here:
Round 1: HDP & Ian (yes, I rolled the same initiative for both characters), baddies, Gruxx, Glyn, Rock
HDP & Ian, you're up!
Ian is exiting the triangular passage. HDP can move, but if he does anything, he'll stop casting his ritual. He's only 12 seconds in, so it will take another 9 rounds to complete if he wants to go through with it. I'll let you decide whether he is moving while casting or standing still.
Ian, (I have to be true to the fiction) has no idea what Glyn has found, so he will continue exiting, and attempt to join his friends in the next room. He uses his movement to get around the corner, and upon seeing the hobgoblin, shoots a crossbow bolt over Rock's shoulder at the creature.
Crossbow to hit: 13
Crossbow damage: 6
Sneak attack (due to Glyn placement): 6
HDP, seeing his friend shooting his crossbow will duck down behind the barrells, but continue casting his ritual.
The hobgoblin draws a longsword and swings it at Glynquinal. (longsword attack: 23, damage: 6 slashing damage) The attack is a good one, but luckily doesn't do as much damage as it could have. Immediately after, an arrow flies at Glynquinal from over the hobgoblin's shoulder. (longbow attack: 9, damage: 6 + 9 piercing damage) The arrow is high and misses the elf, but Glynquinal then notices that there is another hobgoblin behind the first wielding a longbow. As soon as it has finished firing, it disappears through a curtain leading north.
Gruxx, you're up! You would have heard the scuffle. Unfortunately, it's tight quarters, so there's no way for you to get to the hobgoblin directly.
Gruxx moves up to Q,12 and snarls frustrated that he cannot get past to get at the Hobgoblin. Instead Graxx will watch the area south curtain and will ready an attack for anything that comes out because of the noise.
Glynquinal irritated he was surprised by the Hobgoblin will take a shot at returning the wound he received. Using two hands he brings Talon down at him.
To the Hobgoblin, "Your death awaits you in this place."
OOC: Following the downward strike Glynquinal would like to move forward, using the energy of the movement to throw a shoulder into the chest of the Hobgoblin. contesting the space the Hobgoblin occupies, and push him out of it if possible as a Bonus Action. Is that allowed? If so I would assume opposing strength rolls?
Growling with rage, the dragonborn pushes past Glynquinal to swing his weapon at the hobgoblin, but the act of trying to push past his friend throws Rock off balance, making a muscle twinge in his back. He misses, backs up behind Glynquinal once again, and grimaces as his back still complains. (The hobgoblin gains advantage on his next attack vs. Rock.)
Round 2: HDP (trying to hide) & Ian, baddies, Gruxx, Glyn, Rock
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ian, seeing the second hobgoblin disappear behind the curtain, thinks he knows where the hobgoblin is going. Ian moves back to the North. To HDP he says: Whatever you are doing, its not as important as this, as he runs by. Ian is running back where he is coming from, thinking he can catch the other hobgoblin by surprise. He hides and draws his rapier, and readys an action: When he sees the other Hobgoblin come through the door, he will attack with his rapier and dagger, hopefully catching him by surprise.

Herr Doktor stops casting his ritual, and pulls his rapier and dagger. Seeing what Ian is attempting to do, he will also move next to the door. Whatever comes through, he will also ready an attack that when he sees the creature, he will attack it.
Whispering to Ian: I was attempting to conjure a servant to carry out any tresure we find, if you must know...but I suppose that can wait...
OOC Sorry for the "This post has potentially manipulated dice rolls" messages. I accidentally gave my characters too many bonus actions. My apologies. I didnt edit any of the rolls.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: In the future, simply strike through anything that needs to be removed. Unfortunately, rolls can be changed if you edit a post and remove other rolls. A roll which was a miss could be re-rolled into one that hits or vice versa. If you simply edit the post and strike through the erroneous roll (with a comment explaining what has happened), all the rolls remain sound. Information for the future. :)
Ian hurries back north, encouraging Herr Doktor to take a more active role in the fight, and waits at S6 for any entering offenders. Herr Doktor squeezes into the tiny space beside a pile of derelict barrels to also wait, weapons ready.
The hobgoblin takes another swing at Glynquinal with its longsword. (longsword attack: 20, damage: 5 slashing damage) Still a little bit off kilter due to Rock's presence, the elf is unable to deflect the attack, which is aimed very well, and Glynquinal takes a big hit.

Gruxx grimaces frustrated that he still cannot get past to get at the Hobgoblin. Graxx will continue to guard the curtain as he doesn't want to overextend. He readies his weapon once more.
Attack: 18 Damage: 7

Ian will join the others, after seeing the passage is empty.
Gruxx looks to the others points to the door. Points to his ear and shakes his head "No".
Glynquinal finding the door unlocked will open and enter whatever chamber is on the other side, taking a look around for anything of interest.
